A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

If it weren't for moving to a new school and grade level I would be feeling quite ready, we haven't even put away the luggage from our March trip......

I left some odds and ends from my March trip in the suitcase, too. Ponchos that thankfully never had to be used, for one. The weather was perfect. We'll need them for July, though. I keep the roll of moleskin in there, too.

Not changing schools, but just changing grades and classrooms has inspired me to do some heavy-duty cleaning and tossing out in my present classroom. I would be pretty overwhelmed if I had to be doing what I'm doing right now along with getting ready for a Disney trip in 19 days!

I'm not sure why, but it does sound much closer, panic closer!

Thanks MeMom, I think I might post the video we shot of me unpacking our purple locker.........you wouldn't believe the ponchos! We had perfect weather in March too, I can't remember, did we overlap?
I would have liked to move more home from school this weekend but was on the sofa sick....
Maybe if I just bring a box a day, I can get it done. But I need to cart a few boxes of books to school that I need to use for an auction....they won't work for 2nd grade! My kids are going to be so excited!

Well, I feel the need to come to the DEFENSE of my sensitive and kind friend. I have been reading the comments questioning my friend's motives. It saddens me that this amazing man that has basically devoted his life to making his wife's dreams come true and giving her, his all, has had to endure such ridicule.

Shocker, my friend, allow me to jump in front of the bus that has been so viciously driven toward you. I know YOU would NEVER remind them of all the kind and wonderful Disney things you have done for Wigd. through the years. So allow me, to throw a few of them out there....like the time you added a day to an already planned trip. I remember how you saved money on the flight, so she would have even more to spend on the trip with an EXTRA day.

I don't even know if I have to remind everyone of how you have agreed to add on those precious DVC points when she wanted them?

Or how even on this trip, you are already working hard to make it Magical for her. How you have been doing everything in your power to see that all her ADRs have not been lost, but more importantly clarifying that she has a bed to sleep on when she arrives at WDW. How many will ever know that YOU, my friend, had to call Disney yourself, to insure that all those changes She has made did not totally confuse the Disney System and have the entire trip booted from the system??

I am sure that if many of us would remove the blinders , that we could clearly see you ( or not see you in the pictures from the last trip ) and realize that the entire trip, you are working hard behind the scenes to insure that everything appears to Magically happen right on cue and in the right way for our beloved Wigd. OH some of us might not be willing to admit it, but it's there for all to see and witness if they truly were open to see it.

I'm shocked to see that the lynch mob circled around you and quickly began throwing stones at you, when it's obviously clear that you merely were trying to make your ill wife feel better. (which by the way, glad to hear that you are feeling better Wigd....come on, get over that crud, Disney is approaching) Where was I, oh yeah.......I see it Shocker, "they" have to see it too???? WELL, I hope that it will subside and that they will move on and give you a break, you certainly DESERVE one!!

I just wanted to say, you are my friend and even when the storms are howling around you, I am here for you FRIEND!!! I didn't see any kissing up in any of YOUR post. I am also sure that with Wigd. not feeling well, that had to be the fartherest thing from your mind.......nobody wants to share germs when the other is Hang in there FRIEND, this storm too, shall pass!!


You know the more I do the math the more I AGREE with YOU that I don't see any need to rent a car. I mean Disney has wonderful transportation, if you actually choose to use it. I know there are some folks that enjoy nice strolls around the Disney property, but if they didn't want to walk everywhere, Disney is there to wisk them to ANY destination on site...........so I am with YOU FRIEND, $ave the money!!!

OH YEAH, talking about Math, thanks for all the help with Gracie's math problem the other night during Chat. Of course that has nothing to do with me being on "your" side!!!! Where is the "bus" stop, about time I got off??? Chat is such a "learning" experience every night isn't it???

Next, I will admit Shocker is great and he DOES spoil me!
Lastly, he is the best with math, I totally agree with you on that one!

Oh and the rental car? I'm over it and I just don't care, I'm going to Disney World in 16 days!

Shocker emailed member services and they had in fact canceled two of our nights using dev points. They put the days back on so we won't have to be out on the curb for two nights........

I'll have my class 'no rain' dance for you today. They'll be happy to do anything that gets them out of work for a few minutes. Our last Friday Field Day got postponed to Monday because of rain, and the grounds were fairly wet when we did have it. It wasn't the best condition to play in, but I'm glad it's over.

We're excited to be in the low 70's on our count. We'll be nuts when we're in our teens!

It's good that you found out about your two lost nights. That's one of my nightmares - that I show up and a glitch has left us with no place to stay!

About overlapping in March - my friend and I were there from March 18th - 22nd, and we stayed at Pop.

I would do a rain dance for you, but the shaking of the earth could cause some trees to fall or some other issue that would also mess with your field day, so...I'll just say a little prayer that all goes well and y'all are able to wrap up the school year without "any" issues!

Yes, some nights I have to stay up really, really late to finally have a chance to watch what I want to on the t.v. I guess we could agree that Gracie is a night owl because Tracy is, since she is the one that won't go to bed and give me control of the t.v.!!!! Then again, if I had the control of the tube, I likely wouldn't have gotten hooked on the Dis!! LOL Maybe, for Father's Day, I should ask for what Shocker mentioned every red blooded American man wants, control of the remote???? It didn't slip by me that Shocker hinted for that himself and it appears that you have promised him that come June!!

I went back and read Shocker's reply as well, so exactly what are you choking on?? I thought they were very well thought out expressions of his devotion to you and your happiness......for the most part anyway!!!!

Addictedtothemouse, isn't it very APPARENT in our post, that both Shocker and I have certainly learned that lesson?? I think I can safely say that we have not only learned it, but that we LIVE IT, 24/7, 365 days a year, we LIVE IT.....oh, do we LIVE IT!!!!!

Finally Shocker I will point out the obvious, since it seems clear that all who are following Wigd's Pre/Trip/Pre/soontobeTrip Report didn't NOTICE that it was YOU that SAVED the day!!!! How did Wigd. say it??

Now it might be true that Wigd. had called to YET AGAIN make an ADR change, but I do believe that what "I" read was that she hung up from Disney Dinning after AGAIN making ANOTHER ADR change and said... MARC, THEY DON'T HAVE US DOWN FOR THE FIRST TWO NIGHTS!!! WHAT DO WE DO??? Then she merely mentions that YOU contacted member services and RESOLVED the issue!!! Then everyone pats her on the back for making her 133rd ADR change and how it saved the trip???? SAY WHAT??? It was ALL those changes that almost got the trip booted from the system!!!! NO WAIT, it WAS 132 of her calls for changes that got it booted from the system, it was the 133rd call where she discovered that all her changes had created some MAJOR changes to the trip and then it was SHOCKERS "work" that saved the trip!!!!! So, whether "they" will admit it or not, MY FRIEND, "we" know who got it corrected!!!!! Let them pat Wigd. on the back, it appears they are doing nothing more than what YOU, yourself were doing earlier, when they began casting stones.....let's hope they don't live in glass houses!!

I will also have to admit that some Disers are really good at keeping up, I have much to learn.......

So what ADR did you change?

Lady Lallie, my hats off to you.....after all the changes that have been made, if Wigd. was to tell me what ADR she changed to, in this last change....I would have to admit at that point I would know ONE ADR she had!!! They have changed so much and so often, even after her FINAL ADR's were POSTED, that unless she takes a lot of food porn pictures WHILE dinning there, it will be a part of her trip that I won't have a clue about, even AFTER she returns!!!

jillyb, you obviously missed the part that I called DVC not Wigd! She was merely making sure the ADR matrix was perfected and I made sure the resort matrix was perfected! What is more important to you, the ADRs or the resort?
