A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

OK, if our first trip down goes well and we become hooked, will you teach me all about DVC points?? I mean, it's a little early in the game, but after being on the team (from chat) I am starting to get that Disney bug...LOL Already thinking about a second trip. However, I do want to wait until the fourth quarter, before I am schooled about DVC and all the other ways to get to Disney!! Thanks for this thread, I am enjoying it very much. I should have known you would have total VETO power over the manpris......but if an iphone or a rental car was to show up, you might have to suffer and let Shocker go with them!! LOL

Is that your Granddad name? Mimi and Poppy? How adorable! Well the official title would be NDGD#1 (since the Granddads who would follow after you are not "Poppies"), but I have no problem with posting "Poppy" along with your real name for special designation. The first person for each title (ie, NDW#1, NDGM#1, NDH#1) holds a very prestigious position because they set the example for all the others in their group. I think you should go for it. The way you've supported and even encouraged Wigd in attaining all those DVC points is evidence of your credentials.

Wigd. I have been sitting here waiting for a post about when to start packing (so I could start) and what all I need to have with me when I arrive at WDW? So, I am guessing that waiting until the night before to pack is acceptable, since you haven't posted that you are already packed??? LOL

NDM#1, did I get that right.........you WANT Shocker to be the first so he can "set" the example for all others that follow??????????????? I have gone on your blog and done some reading and will go back and read some more, I don't think I have EVER done soooo much reading before a vacation in all my life. Then again, I am learning it's NOT a vacation, but a way of LIFE!!! I know I don't qualify to be a NDP yet, but I am learning much about y'alls way of life!!!!!!!

OH and I have hit the stores (won't mention any names for fear that I will be scolded again for putting them in the same sentence with Disney, but in one of them nothing cost over a buck and other ryhmes with Y'all _art), anyway, I have stocked up on "treasures" for my DDs. Of course, they have more money than I do anyway and only one of them is as cheap as me, so they will end up buying what they want in the end!!!!! It's going to be interesting to watch them, it's my guess the youngest will return with more money than she left with and the oldest will be upset that we didn't advance her some!! I will admit I didn't find all the nice goodies that you did when you shopped Wigd. Maybe it's because I am a man who hates to shop....I just say oh look that has Disney on it, I'll get that!!!!! BUT I did go and I did buy JUNK!!! LOL

Thanks Sept., it should at least have them smiling for the miles down there.....I am guessing that I will have passed them all out before we get there....after all I am driving with 3 of them!! LOL J/K, I do plan to wait to give it to them....I am hoping the DVD's will keep them entertained for the biggest portion of our drive!!!

See, I do listen to all of you. I couldn't find the packs of light ups like Wigd. bought, but I found some that will have to do. I am sure my girls will be tickled to get them and like you say it will give them something like your nephew had to help pass the time by, while we wait for the real excitement!! I even bought little things that I plan to give them each morning as we awake the Land of Magic!! Actually, I am just hoping these little trinkets will keep them from wanting little trinkets while we are out and about. My girls are actually really good about that sort of thing and I would much rather they spend their money on something that they either really, really want or will last them for a while, if you know what I mean!!

BD, Shocker brought up the luggage this past Saturday, I have my clothes and a few extras packed. Baylor tried on some of his shorts (they still fit) and I have a stack for him, but nothing in his bag. Friday night and Saturday we will get it finished. I have also asked Shocker to get "the electronics" ready to go........but I don't think he has yet
