I'm sure this has been discussed before, but the "search" feature is not working for me :( Anyway, I'm curious as to anyone's thoughts as to which weekend days are best for each park. We will going to one park on saturday and the other on Sunday!

TIA!

if it were me i would do USF saturday and IOA sunday:smooth:

Hi, hezel123.
During non-peak times, there's nothing "dumb" about going to the parks on weekends, so don't worry! :) The weekends are naturally going to be more crowded than weekdays, as is always the case...but both parks are very manageable, even on weekends. :)
The traffic pattern at the parks is such that IOA is almost always more crowded on Saturdays than Sundays. We spend lots of time there on the weekends, and Saturday is when large groups of local teens hit IOA, much more so than on Sunday, so MIB's advice is generally the consensus.
Keep in mind, when there are special events going on at either park, that can change the order of things, depending on which park is having it though! So, if you hit one park, and it seems out of control, switch parks, it's only a 5 minute walk between parks! :)

Go and enjoy...get there at park opening both days, if at all possible too! :)

We did IOA on a Sunday, and it wasn't bad at all.

I would do IOA on Sunday as well, and USF on Saturday.
Getting there early at park opening, makes all the difference in the world. You are practically done when everyone is just getting there!

Ok, Mike, I'm not going to take that "dumb" comment personally ;) I have kids in school so weekend trips are the only way we can do this. We leave Friday and figured Sept weekends would be better than any day in the summer :) We also did a "smart" thing and will be staying onsite. So it's not so much the lines I'm worried about as is the onslot (sp?) of trying to manage three young children (3,5,&6) from ride to ride. Thanks for everyone's help. I'll let you know how it goes!

Good for you, Hezel! You aren't the only one who can only visit the parks on weekends...but as I said, I wouldn't worry too much about it in the off-season, anyway!

Most people have work/school during the week...like us :) , and the only time the weekends really aren't fun is during the summer when it's hot AND crowded!

Have a great time, and if you have any other questions, that's what we're here for! :)

Karen
