A Welsh family trip report - Day 2

Today was extra magic hours at MGM. I had brought a suitcase full of snacks, so that was our breakfast, which we ate on the way to the bus. Got to Studios in time for rope drop at 8am . We got fastpasses for TSM and then DH and DD7 waited in the standby line. DD17, DD20 and me ran over to RnRC, we were right near the front. I have a confession to make I am not a big lover of rollercoasters but I promised my girls I would ride it with them . They decided I would sit by DD17 and DD20 would ride behind. By the time we got there I was so scared that I walked straight through the seats and out the other side My girls were very disappointed in me, and had to do a quick shuffle to sit next to each other. They didnt half tell me off when they got off. We ran over to ToT next and I waited for them to ride whilst I had a sit down on the bench outside (I don't like that either). That was a walk on too, so on the way out they grabbed fastpasses for later. We then ran over to TSM as it was time for our fastpasses. We all rode and loved it. I can see why its so popular.

I got a bit of a telling off from DH too for my behaviour on RnRC I was so fed up of them I decided I was going to ride it after all, so we headed back.

I did ride RnRC and was sitting in the front. I did scream a bit though LOL. The worst part was the first bit, it slows down after that and wasn't too bad. I didn't know at the time but DH took DD7 on ToT. I'm glad he didn't tell me first, I am such a coward I would have stopped him. She absolutely loved it. The only down side was she wanted me to go back on with her so I could see how good she was. I just had to after the performance I made earlier. I didn't want to spoil it for her so we all went on. Even without fastpasses didn't have to wait long. I still didn't like it but it wasn't as bad as I remembered LOL. It has become DD's favourite ride along with POC and HM.

We were all peckish and thirsty by now, so we went over to Backlot and had burger and fries. We then spotted these characters

We then went on to do Muppets, Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones and Backlot tour. It was too hot and crowded by now, so girls decided to go back to POR for a swim. DD7 was tired too, but I wanted to go and have a wander around the Boardwalk. She was tired last night too, or we would have spent more time in downtown disney. So on the way out of MGM I bought a stroller for her She was so pleased to be pushed around (even though she was 7 she is small for her age) So since she was happy I got to do my strolling LOL! We first did the Boardwalk, then went over to MK and did the railroad. I had decided before we arrived to do some resort hopping this trip, so we monorailed over to the Polynesian for a little walk around. It was very nice, I wouldn't mind staying there some day, but DH prefers WL and GF.

We then went back to resort to catch up with the girls who were sleeping in our room. We woke them and all went on the boat to Downtown Disney and ate in Mcd's. When we got back to our room, I grabbed our refillable cups and did the drinks run. This became our nightly ritual, though we took it in turns to go. I might add we were only 100yds from foodhall

Sounds like you had a good day. Well done for doing the rides. I usually make the excuse that I need to take the photos! And watch the bags of course.
