Hi all,

For those of you that used A Wedding for You to get your marriage license, I just had a few questions to clear up if you don't mind.

How far out from the wedding date did you submit the application?

I'm just worried about when i should submit the application. I don't submit to early and get a license that'll expire before the wedding (May 26, 2006), or too late and not get it any time.

I was thinking of waiting about 70-80 days out to mail everything.

Also, how is the process? Form reading the site/paper work, to me it sounds like this:

1) you mail the applications & money order

2) They type up the license and send to you. You sign it and in send back.

3) They take to the courthouse to signed/approved.

4) They send you the signed copy, which you take to the wedding and give to the officiant.

5) After the wedding, the courthouse sends you the final super approved "you're now officially married" license.

Is this anywhere near correct?

Thanks!!

It does take them time to process. Send it in exactly when they tell you to. I did and it worked out perfect.

I just submitted our application to them this weekend and our wedding is May 28, 2006.

I just sent it to them this weekend and my wedding is about 50 days away, hopefully it will be fine (should be.. there website said not to send earliert then 90 days, but if the wedding was sooner then 30 days to call them and there would be a rush fee, so I'm still in the window)

Best advice: CALL THEM:) They are the super most helpful people...somehow I never worried everytime I called them they knew just what was going on and where my ap was in the process...it was excellent!!!

i mailed our application at the end of january for our march 21st wedding. the license is good for 60 days.

yes, you pretty much have the steps down except for #3. you have to have your signatures notarized. so dont sign it until you go to a notary (ie bank, post office) sign it in person with them & have it witnessed.

15 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:
