So we are 135 days out today!! Thought we'd never make it out of the 140's!!

So my husband is starting to think that I am really obsessed about this trip & all things Disney!! Ummmm....hello...it is Disney we are talking about here!!! We are having a fun time planning! We are still in the itinerary planning phase, as Katelyn can't seem to decide what parks she wants to visit & what she is willing to leave out. But we still have a "few" days left to decide.

We have been so busy over the last couple of weeks, I just haven't had a chance to check in. Hope everyone is doing well!! My photography business has starting booming lately and so that & homeschool is keeping us very busy!!

I would like to ask for some good vibes for next week. Last summer, I went to the GI doctor after having lat some minor stomach pains go. So after a few scares, I was "officially" diagnosed with a GIST tumor, but we were waiting on one final pathology report. Later that week, my oncologist (that still seems weird to type!!!) calls me to tell that it isn't a GIST tumor, that it is fact a rare synovial sarcoma & that he is referring me to a surgeon. I had surgery to remove the tumor with no chemo or radiation needed!!

At my last follow up CT scan (which happens EVERY 4 months) there was a small spot on my lung. They are only mildly concerned at this point due to the size, shape, etc, but my next scan is scheduled for MOnday...so any thoughts & prayer you could send my way are GREATLY appreciated!! If this tumor shows any change, I will be sent to have a biopsy.

We are officially booked!!! YAY!! Our GTKTW villa is reserved & our flight is official!! WOOHOO!!


We are so excited!! Now it officially feels like we are really going!!

Where has time gone?!?!?! We have had such a hectic month...WOW!! I haven't forgotten about all of my Disboards friends...

Where to begin...

First of all, thanks for all of the well wishes on my CT scan!! The scan came back clean & the spot on my lung is a calcified fungus...YUCK!!! A nasty 'shroom in my lung...but it is much better than a nasty tumor!!

I got a call Tuesday from The Dream Factory saying that we were in danger of losing our reservations because they forgot to have me fill out the GTKTW forms!! YIKES!!! So needless to say, I rushed home to get those filled out. I did have to drop them off to the doc to have them filled out so hopefully she gets those back ASAP!! They seems to think we will be okay, but it still has me on pins & needles!! Hopefully we can get those to GTKTW tomorrow!!

We are having a quiet summer so far...a little swimming here & there but nothing too exciting!!! We are saving all of the excitement for October!!

We are 85 days out so let the countdown continue!! We are soooo excited here in the Carpunky house!! Thanks for celebrating with us!!

My K walks as well with KAFO's & forearm crutches. She started taking horseback riding about a year ago & she loves it!! And she doesn't even realize how good it is for her!! Katelyn would love to exchange e-mails with Mackenzie!! Does she have an e-mail address. I think sometimes she feels like the only kid out there with SB!!!

We met with 2 of our Dream Factory contacts today. I was thinking that they needed MORE paperwork. YIKES!! (I didn't fill out that many sheets when I HAD the child!! LOL!!) But it turns out, they just wanted to come talk to Katelyn to find out some more of her interests. We had a nice visit & are now re-energized about our trip!!

We are 76 days (almost 75...it is almost midnight!) out now so we dug out the planning book to really get into the nitty gritty of planning. She has decided that the Rockin' Roller Coaster is a must do along with Tower of Terror....ACK!! I am dreading that!! I hate the feeling of falling, but because she wants to ride it, I will be right along side of her!!

Hope to have some plans for my next update!!

So we have been busily trying to get some kind of itinerary in place for the big trip. (71 days & counting!!)

So here is what we have come up with so far.

Saturday~our flight arrives in Orlando at 11:10 so we will have all day to play in the village & get orientation done.

Sunday~MK and with ressie at BBB and then MNSSHP that night.

Monday~Epcot & hopefully Illuminations

Tuesday~ Sea World with ressies at Chef Mickey's

Wednesday~Universal Studios

Thursday~Hollywood Studios (for the dreaded Tower or Terror ) and maybe a hop over to AK too. And of course Santa!!

Friday~Our flight leaves at 4:40, so we will have some time to play in the village that day as well.

We could always swap out Wednesday & Thursday, & we may have to do that. Fantasmic is playing Thursday & the crowd levels are supposed to be high at HS that day.

K is going to the allergist today to see what has kept her so miserable this year. Midwest allergies are horrible this year!! And she got her bottom braces her teeth yesterday!! She told the tech, that before her trip, she is getting red & black bands to match her Minnie costume!! Planning ahead!!

Thought I would share a picture that I took of K with her friends a few weeks ago!! She is getting so big & looking so grown up!! I am so not ready for this!!

I talked to our Dream manager Debbi yesterday, & she has a surprise all ready for Katelyn!!! YAY!! I will tell, but you have to promise like I did not to let it slip!! (how am I gonna keep this in for 69 more days?!?!?!)

When we went to Disney when K was 5, she wanted more than anything to meet Belle her favorite princess. But, alas, we did not get to even see Belle during that visit. So when K was talking to our Dream Manager, she asked Katelyn who she would like to meet more than anything. Guess what her answer was??? Okay...I'll tell you!! Belle of course!! So....Debbi has arranged a dinner experience with Belle!! I don't have any specifics more than just knowing that she has it arranged!!
Katelyn is going to be soooo surprised!!

We had a very great week with our trip planning!! Got us all geared up & ready to go!! It has been 100+ degrees here all week, so we haven't been doing much outdoors stuff. Not even swimming...the water was 98 degrees on Tuesday....YIKES!!! Like making a soup outta yourself!!!!

I just wanted to pop on and say hello! Summer has made it hard for me to keep up and follow any PTR's. YOur daughter is beautiful, and obviously well deserving of an awesome dream trip. We went in May 2010, and it was the most magical trip. Anyway, I'm following along. I'm excited to hear more about your plans!

Your daughter will love that surprise!!!! If it werent for cheerleading competitions we would have went in October too but i couldnt do that to her team. The photos in your ptr are adorable i see so much in your daughter that i see in Mackenzie they have magnectic personalities and you can almost know them just through a picture!! Stay cool its super hott here too in the 100s.
