A Warning About Clermont

So all Clermont cops are bad? You seem troubled.

I am not troubled in the way you infer I am. I am troubled by the fact that this city has not changed one bit in the 20+ years my family has lived here.

I have not dealt with all of the new cops. Just the ones I have dealt with recently are still playing good olde boys games or they are misbehaving.

Maybe you have had some bad experiences a long time ago, or even more recently, but I find it hard to believe that EVERY cop is bad. And the way you make it sound, it seems that you believe that about every cop, even outside Clermont.

And I'm assuming that you're an adult now, since you have children, so I'm curious as to why you don't move? Maybe it's financial reasons, but if this has you so troubled and upset, I'm not sure why you're still living there. Or why you haven't taken your complaints/problems to someone else, outside the department.

You want facts here they are. A cop slammed my friends head into his car as he was putting her in while handcuffed. There is more to the story but that does not need to be public. There are endless issues with this cop favoring the hispanic members of their household and treating her poorly because she is mixed. The cop in question is hispanic.

This happens too with the white cops protecting white men. When I was a teenager my mom was hit by another car but the cop tried to give her the ticket because the guy who hit her was the cops golfing buddy.


It has brought back all of the endless verbal abuse I have suffered from at their hands in the past to mind. It has proven that these guys are not changing. They do whatever they want when nobody is watching. They used to not give tickets to their friends during accidents and purposely give tickets to the person they did not like.

This is a town that hated outsiders so much in the past that we never had a mayor who was not born here. This town used to be only 6000 people strong. Our borders used to be much smaller. Now our borders go all the way out to kings ridge on 27 and I am not really sure where on 50. Our town has long been corrupt and evil. It was part of the reason I fled to a major university when I graduated HS. I came back because my Dad is not doing well. I honestly thought with all of the new blood pouring into the town that our police would be better. They are still the same bad bad boys.

There are alot of inconsiderate and unfeeling people out there including some cops. However, not knowing what the story is here is not helping anybody see what exactly has brought this on and is only going to cause people to fight back and forth depending on their feelings about law enforcement.

If we dont have a straight story , I would suggest that people let this thread go, it has nowhere positive to go from here, thats just my opinion of course to be disreguarded or reguarded as you all see fit.

The point was to warn you guys to keep a low profile in the town. I am in the process of finding out who in the state do I contact to file complaints to about this situation. Not that it matters because they will just give them a slap on the wrist.

I was locked into a hospital room once when I went to the ER for treatment after an attack. They did not want to risk me running from the ER before they could get an officer in there to take my statement. That was in Alameda county in California. I do know however that there are a few good cops. I think most of them are dangerous and hopped up on power when they want to be.

Im sorry to hear about your personal bad expeiences with police officers. It sounds to me in your ER incident they were trying to protect you , not hurt you by getting a statement from you.

Being an authority figure sometimes you have to be authorative that does not mean you are hopped up on power. I know that I will never change your mind but I will have to respectfully disagree with you, there are far more good cops than bad cops. Small towns can breed ugly things from all government offiicals, that I will not dispute you on. But painting cops as bad cause things did not go a persons way are very very common when discusing law enforcements actions as well.

Sounds to like the OP might live in a bad neighborhood or might hang around people that are always making trouble.

In my experience if you lead a good clean life and are a good citizen and don't hang around bad people, the police leave you alone.


I am NOT a police officer and I do not have any family members or friends that are police officers. My husband has a distant friend that is an officer but he might see him once every couple of years. So...no I am not a re;ative or "lover" of police officers. I just respect them and stay out of trouble and do not hang out with people that cause trouble.

Was your firend drunk and uncooperative? Just curious - very few "docile" people get their heads "slammed" into car.

She would have marks, if you head or face hits an open door jam it is very very distintive.

Also do they have dash cams? These are public records and these & taped transmission can be requested under FoA.

I find it hard to believe that all the press agencies are in collusion with LE, they usually have diametrically opposed views and goals.

It is not like the Clermont police could threaten them, they just aren't that powerful.

BTW call the US AG's office the love to invetigate police corruption, if they pass on your allegations then they are not credible.

The news does not report the problems because they are old news.

BTW To all of you who think I am crazy how many of you are police yourself or family of police. Yeah I bet all of you. I think you guys are the ones who are crazy. I am perfectly normal. You can bicker this out to the end you spoiled pampered brats. I am unsubing from own thread. YES I just slammed the people who are slamming me and I feel better for it.
