A war and threats of terrorism did not stop the crowds

Monday at MK was PACKED. Now, this could have been because it rained ALL DAY Sunday and so everyone was just then beginning their Spring Break vacation at WDW. But it was packed. My husband and I took a quick anniversary trip down to WDW and US this past weekend and we took the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at MK on Monday. When we were finished the lines for major attractions were over an hour and the walk-ways were shoulder to shoulder with people. Granted, we usually visit the "world" in the off-season and haven't really ever seen long lines, but I'm pretty sure all of those people would qualify for a "packed park". While my husband and I didn't get but a couple of rides in after our tour, I was happy to see so many people enjoying themselves on vacation and not letting the terrorists take their vacations away from them.

As I mentioned, it rained Sunday so we just did lunch at Epcot and then went shopping. Epcot was pretty deserted that day. The rain did dry up by about 8 pm though, so who ever did stay was probably able to have a front row seat to Illuminations without having to stake a spot more than 5 minutes ahead of time.

I'm glad there were lots of people enjoying themselves at MK on Monday. I don't like heavy crowds but this news pleases me.

Hi there! We were at WDW 3/21-3/25 and were also at MK Monday. I did not think it was too bad. We used Fast Pass for SM and Big Thunder and pretty much walked on Alien Encounter, TTA, Tom Sawyer Rafts and Haunted Mansion. We left for lunch at Kona Cafe went in the pool at AKL and came back for 7pm. There was a mass exodus after the fireworks at 7:15pm. Also they extended hours till 9pm so we walked on everything after 7:30pm! I mean walked up to Jungle Cruise, Pirates, HM, Big Thunder, Peter Pan, Many Adventures of WTP, Snow White. We did that Saturday night too! The last 2 hours we rode about 7-10 rides! During the day at MK it was a bit crowded but not bad for March. Epcot was dead Saturday, MGM was walk ons Sunday, AK very light Tuesday-5 minute waits for Kali all day 15 for Safari. I think because they extended the hours at MK to 9pm on Saturday and Monday a lot of people left not knowing.

A bus driver told us that this week would be dead because spring break was over! Wrong. I was amazed at how busy it was. Hotels and restaurants seemed pretty busy.

On Monday night at DD you could barely move, and EPCOT on Tuesday afternoon/evening was quite busy in WS. One gauge I have is that I like to talk to the WS CMs since I've been to all the countries and can speak a little French and Japanese. But every time I tried they had to rush off to ring something up. People were really crowded into the stores and buying.

Journey, however, was totally empty and I think only started up when I arrived.

I agree MK was so crowded on Monday. You really needed fastpasses! We braved the rain on Sunday at MK and there was noone there! We walked on alot of things! On Monday, there was no way I was waiting in 90 minute lines after I had just walked on things the previous day!
Tuesday, MGM was pretty crowded too. No less than 30 minute waits for the backlot tour. We used the extra magic hour and arrived before 8 and the lines were out the door! By 8:30 the line for TOT was 65 minutes.
Yesterday, Epcot had a 4 pm return time for test track fastpass when we tried to get them at 10 am. The countries werent overly crowded but as the day progresses alot of people we there as well.
The previous Friday and Saturday we found the crowds to be very manageable. Then again, it poured during the day on Friday.
We did E night on Friday night and it was great. It was like we had the park to ourselves!

Most of the Indiana schools don't have spring break until the first full week of April... so spring break isn't over, and WDW will definitely be seeing some Hoosiers soon!

Did AK in the rain on Friday.....great!!!! went on KS as a walk on and saw tons of animals, the guide said he rarely sees that many. Did MGM on Saturday and RnR was down and ToT had lines out the wazoo. Walked onto many things though. Sunday it POURED! but we were at MK!! It was GREAT! No lines on anything and we did it all!!!!! Hey, once your wet your wet!!! we did skip the water rides though lol! Tuesday we hit Epcot and although we were there EE we only did 3 things before lunch when DH took DS5 back to CBR. Me and DS12 did kidcot and all the CM's were wonderful except for France....not even gonna go into that...needless to say the guy needs to get another job! Epcot was packed!!!! Wednesday we did MGM EE and got a FP for RnR(it was down!) and hopped into line at ToT...let me tell you , don't always believe the wait times! It said 65 min by 8:30 am and we only waited about 30. Got off and right onto RnR. I didn't mind the rain...it's warmer rain then Jersey rain!!!! I'm just sad that we are back!!!!

I have been at WDW ssince march 19th and only have had to use Fastpass a few times! mostly at MK and that was only for Space and Splash mountains. and that was wednesday.

haven't used any at MGM or AK only at Epcot at living tothe land because I go on test Track a single rider!

most I have waited in line without fastpass is 20minutes!!

Epcot wasn't too bad on Monday guess everyone was at MK!!!
