Can anyone tell me more about it? The information I've found isn't very helpful. What's it like, and is it worth it? My mom and I are considering doing it in August and would like your opinions. Thanks! :goodvibes

My DH and I did this tour years ago, but I wouldn't imagine it's changed a great deal. While some of it probably depends on the quality of the tour guide, DH and I had the BEST time on this tour. We did it on the afternoon of an extremely busy day in the parks, so it was a great way to spend a few hours without worrying about long lines. Our CM was chock full o' trivia and interesting stories about Walt and the park. The last part of our tour was spent riding the Lilly Belle which was a definite highlight.

We have done this tour. I would say it was just "ok", we have enjoyed some of the other tours a lot more. The highlights were our awesome tour guide and that we got to step inside the lobby of club 33. The downside was that it was mostly focused on disney trivia and stories that we have heard recycled a million times before. If you are really into disney history you won't learn anything new here. We didn't get to go on the Lilly Belle.

Didn't realise that there was more than 1 tour a day - is there just one in the morning and another in the afternoon? If you went in the afternoon do they give you lunch first?

Inlikesin - which tour did you enjoy more and how long ago is it since you did this one?

My Sister and I did this tour in March and LOVED it! We had a wonderful CM that added lots of stories that were not part of the tour script. It is all done with headsets, so you didn't have to stand right next to him to hear what was going on. I am trying to remember everything that we did...
Tiki Room - stayed after the show to take pics and get history of the attraction
Jungle Cruise - did not get a private boat (would have been better by ourselves) but at least we had a really good skipper!
Rode in the Lilly Belle, had lunch and received a pin!
I highly recommend this tour!

We loved this tour!! We did it last March.

You wear a headset to hear recorded stuff as well as being able to hear your tour guide better.

We started at the Flag Pole on Main Street learning about the history of the park. We continued up Main Street stopping to look at the names up in the windows & hearing about their connection to Walt & Disneyland. We continued into Adventureland to take a ride on the Jungle Cruise & learned about all the foliage & how Walt snuck the seeds in to plant authentic trees, bushes & flowers for the ride. We walked into Frontierland & learned more history & trivia. We went to NOS & got to go into the Club 33 lobby & learn about the history of the club. We walked the back trail thru Fantasyland & to Snow White's Grotto. We learned all the coins left in the wishing well go to Make A Wish....so bring all your loose coins!! We learned about the castle & then went back over to the Enchanted Tiki Room to watch the show. After the show, we got to stay & learn more inside info on the building & show. We made our way back up Main Street, stopping in the Main St Cinema & then ended at the 50th Anniversary display (This is now gone, so not sure what they replaced this part of the tour with).

After the tour you go back to the picnic area behind the tour building & enjoy a very good lunch. You get your choice of sandwich & drink. We also had fresh strawberries & grapes, as well as a cookie. We got to speak one on one with the tour guide & get a special pin!!

Absolutely loved it......full of lots of information for Disney-Fans!!!

My favorite part was at the end when they take you to the front of the train station. That was worth the price of the ticket for me. Tease.....

if you have been to disneyland many times, and want to enjoy the park in a different way then it is great, they tell you all sorts of trivia, stories, and "i bet you didnt know" stuff, it is worth every penny if you love Disney, we also did the key to the kingdom in the Magic Kingdom, and i would definitely recommend that next time you go to WDW it is very very very good, i did the walk in walts footsteps after key to the kingdom so i was hoping for the same thing, but would definitely recommend it to anybody that loves Disney.

We did this tour about a year ago. The tours that we really enjoyed were the holdiay tours, halloween and christmas.
