Do they still exist anywhere?

I still have one of those teeny-tiny glass mugs they used to sell sample sizes of root beer in! I think they cost like five cents, at the time.

yup a&w s are all over,, theres one a half mile from the house we are trying to buy between it and my moms.

I love the one in Harwich on Cape Cod, and there is one in Lake George, NY...I have never been to that one...but I am sure Rachel Ray has!!!

There is an A&W drive-thru/drive-in on 192 in the parking lot of the Super Target. I love it!! We were there the first night it opened - had just finished shopping at Target and drove in, ordered, ate in the car - didn't have to take the kids out again. They kept watching the movie on the DVD..... fabulous!

I used to love going to A&W. Didn't they name their burgers after members of the family?

Where I am, there are several A&W's that are doubled with KFC......
Yum....had a couple of root beer floats during this past summer............

I worked at one as a car-hop in high school (small South Dakota town)

I loved working there - we still had the mugs, Papa burgers, Teen Burger, tator tots -- the whole works --- we would bring your food out on a tray and put the tray on the car window - no skates though (thank goodness)

The place closed down and we were all given mugs as parting gifts --

good times - good times Oh the things that go on at a drive in -- the guy that pulled up and wasn't wearing pants... guys that would tell you what would get a bigger tip

I don't know that I would let my daughter work at one - now that I think about it

We have one not too far from us, but I don't like rootbeer and especially not a root beer float. Yuck. Sorry.

We didn't have A&Ws where I grew up north of Chicago. We had Dog N Suds. Yummy hot dogs and root beer.
