This is HIGH-larious! OK, I'monna go with "Eat the half of the sandwich farthest from the open part of the wrapper" Hypothetically of course. But by now you've prolly already made your decision - did you survive?

I did! I work right next to a 7-11, and they have this really good turkey sandwich, but it's not there every day - since it's a fresh delivery and... sometimes they just don't bring one. Today they had it, but I only noticed it was open once I got back to the office and I just couldn't bear to part with it. The first thing I thought was - "What would Carrie do??", but I knew you'd be at work too, so I couldn't ask!

So I ate it anyway, but left the last inch or so closest to the open side - just in case

(is that a word?)...I've always loved the Morocco pavilion and your wedding photos were simply gorgeous...

I love that you got engaged at DL and married at DWD-I loved DL the two times we've been there-once at the end of that great American road trip along the PCH-from San Fran down through Big Sur towards LA-had to go to Disneyland-I fell in love with it......it is similiar yet different-there is a kind of charm or intimacy to DL-it isn't better although except for the castle I do prefer DL over MK-I love Fantasyland and New Orleans Square...

Jane Austen, Disney, cake...it's all good...

Btw-I loved the little cards they give at at Sprinkles-with the coding of the dots on tops for the flavor-comes in handy if you forget what you bought-they do make a very good cupcake...I'm sorry we didn't make it to Susiecakes...

Thought I would show you the remake of our wedding cake..Monday is our 2nd anniversary...Publix did a pretty good job..I even got chocolate sauce to drizzle over...it was soooo good..I dare say ALMOST as good as DCL..but we weren't in Palo, so not quite!!

Lurkyloo, I thought of you this weekend. It was my mother's birthday so we went to her most favorite restaurant of all time: The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

The dessert I had was, from the bottom up:

a layer of chocolate pudding/mousse
a layer of vanilla pudding/mousse
a layer of peanut butter pudding mousse

They had chocolate sprinkles on the top.

I would have been happy with twelve of them being as I don't eat shrimp.

We're not particularly into parades or shows either, but the MNSSHP parade is AMAZING. Or at least it used to be, especially the grave diggers. Very cool.

Oh my gosh - it looks great! They did a really great job, and I'll bet that buttercream tasted better than the fondant. Say, maybe I'll skip Disney and have Publix do our next wedding cake re-creation...

Yes - that is a very good point. Maybe I shouldn't even be debating MVMCP and should just try it cuz I've never done it.

It's like how I don't get it when people post all over the Restaurants board trying to figure out just how beer-y tasting the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier is before they go (something I am also guilty of ). It only costs $5.50 - just TRY it for yourself!

Argh! Now y'all are making me want to go to MNSSHP instead of MVMCP! Guess there's always next year...

OK, so the consensus on the DVC boards (yes, I lurk - wanna make something of it? ) seems to be that Bay Lake Tower's Magic Kingdom-view rooms are only really worth it at night (during the day they're more like "huge expanse of parking lot"-view rooms) and that Bay Lake-view rooms are only really worth it in the daytime.

Since our lake-view room prohibits me from fulfilling my new fantasy of sitting in a bubble bath and watching Wishes over the Magic Kingdom, I'm thinking about sitting in a bubble bath and eating breakfast watching the sunrise over Bay Lake.

Now, I'm not even sure the sun does rise over Bay Lake or that I will ever be able to get up that early on our trip, but it sounded like a suitably decadent substitute for bubble bath + fireworks.

In other news, they've released pre-opening menus for Kouzzina (the Spoodles replacement). I already knew I wanted to to try it out for dinner, but now I may want to try out breakfast too because of this item:

Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast: Two eggs, Kalamata olive toast, artichoke spread and sweet potato hash, with choice of bacon or chicken sausage.

Substitute something for the Kalamata olive toast, and I'm in (maybe a Mickey waffle? )

However, while most of the things on the dinner menu sound great to me, I'm wondering how long it will be before the Disney Blandification of the menu sets in and it's back to more Americanized versions of the steak/fish/chicken, plus creme brulee and molten chocolate cake... oh wait - they already HAVE molten chocolate cake on the menu!

Hi. I've been MIA for awhile - trying to catch up.

1. Congrats on the GCV studio! I can't wait to see your pics! We may take a peek when we're there later this month. We never know how our day will go when we're there with DH's family.

2. That bride cake is just strange. Kind of narcisistic????

3. Bubble bath at BLT sounds wonderful. Too bad no fireworks, though.

4. We did MVMCP in 2005 the night before our cruise. We were there for the rides and the parade. I couldn't find the watery hot chocolate. The rides were a walk on, but we couldn't get over to BTMRR from Splash because of the parade. It was chilly and raining on and off. Maybe that's why it snowed on Main Street - real snow. I saw if coming off the rooftops I'm not sure if I would pay for it during a week long trip, we could get the same experiences minus the cookies and hot chocolate on our own throughout the week.

5. I'm not too sure about the new restaurant. Cinnamon on meat just doesn't work for us.

I'll try to keep up better - heading down your way and then to Vegas to see Lion King at the end of the month - then on to Boise for a couple of months with DH for his work.
