A very long "Short week" Anyone else feeling this?

We had a 4 day workweek here becouse of Presidents day. It always seems these are the longest weeks..workloads are backed up ect.. It is also approaching Spring and another massive remodleing project is being worked out so that adds to the load. I also have "overslept" three days in a row Do you run into the short workweek problem?

I second that emotion. IMO it doesn't pay to have short weeks. I even made the mistake of taking Tuesday off too. I've been playing catch-up since Wednesday! I overslept the past two mornings as well! Thank God it's Friday!!!

I think that any time we should be "closed" for a regular work week that we should be closed the whole week!

Feel the same here. I did have to work Monday but only worked two hours due to the "blizzard" starting early. Came in late Tuesday, had to wait to clear the snow from the driveway. Plus this has been the week of if anything could go wrong at work it has. I haven't overslept but have been late everyday for work this week.

Off Monday - Office closed Tuesday due to the snow, Worked 1/2 day wednesday went home witha migrane - took off Thursday and worked Friday. I feel like it was waisted week!!!

What a week! I'm so glad the weekend is here. I was home Monday for the holiday, Tuesday we were closed because of the snow and Wednesday I took off because DS didn't have school and the daycare was closed because of the weather.

I was so busy yesterday and today that I didn't even have lunch! I only missed one real work day and that was enough to get me behind until next week. Arrrrrgh!

Same story here Patrick...closed Monday for the holiday, making it neccessary to do 5 days work in 4..........then the storm, so a lot of staff out on Tuesday causing even more of a crunch at work, and snow removal duties at home as well.
Reminds me of a sign a friend of mine used to have on her desk:
"The good Lord put me on this earth to accomplish a certain mumber of things. At the rate I'm going, I will never die!"

Thought it was just at our office. We all made the same comment that this was the longest short week we'd ever had!

I didn't get Monday off but it has been a very long week as I felt terrible the whole time. But that's another post... Youch.

I always think, "I love Mondays Off", as a SAHM but, in reality, it bites me in the butt! This was the most recent, 4-day, longest week! Kelly was running a fever, Matt was getting over 'something' and, Marty was late or, not home 3 nights this week, out of 4! That really throws a kink into planning for dinner!

I cooked tonight, Friday. That is usually my weekend night to take a break, carry-out, whatever but, with the short week, I was baking and cooking and, I wanted to watch a movie! Too much to do in such a short amount of week!!

But, I also hate the regular 5-day-a-week plan, too!

Just packing five days worth of activities into 4. It WAS a long week. Because I had such an awful week (out of the office traveling and taking my DH to his surgery) the prior week and knowing that the upcoming week was going to be a short one... I ended up working a full day on Sunday just to try and offset the damage. I am glad I did (well sort of) because this week was chaos despite that.

Let's hope that next week is more sane.

I not only had Monday off, but also Tuesday because of the weather and we had a two hour delay *** well. In reality I only worked two and a half days this week and I am exhausted. LOL I don't know what I'm going to do with an actual 5 day work week next week.
