A Very Duggar Wedding

Yea I actually got emotional during the whole thing. They obviously care about each other. And the whole family is just too crazy and cute-I love it!

Hehehe, I was just coming to post about it. It's like watching an accident, you just can't look away! The whole first kiss thing is very odd to me.

This family is so strange, and yet I HAD to watch!

I went to a Catholic wedding about 10 years ago and they had vows very similar about having as many children as God would bless them with... I can't remember the exact wording but the Priest kept talking about children and adding more members to the church.

Watched it last night, I think they are adorable too. Different from most of us but cute. Those girls are beautiful.


I am willing to bet that she is already pregnant.

I had fun watching it. There aren't a lot of shows that I want my 12 year old to watch, but this one is OK.
Do you really think they made that yell in their hotel room at the end of the show? DH thinks they dubbed it in.

I watched parts of it. They are a bit restricted in their actions but seem to be good kids.

This show compares SOOOOOO favorably to the trash that is on MTV/VH-1.....they seem to be in competition for which show can have the most "girl-on girl" mackdowns.........

Yet, the Duggars always seem good for a thread or two about how they deviate from the norm.....

Funny, that.

I love the Duggars! Sure they aren't the average family but it works for them and I don't think they are hurting anyone, they could be doing much worse. I thought the wedding was cute and I liked the girls dresses. I think that Josh and Anna make a great couple and I really do wish the best for them.

So true. My own sister asked me how can I let my kids watch those "pyschos". Of course she let her kid watch MTV as much as he wanted. I'll take my psychos over hers any day!

Jim-Bob gave Josh a book, and when Josh read the title out loud, it had to be bleeped, I think it had the words "normal vag..." something. I'd love to find out what book that is and read it, to see what's allowed and what's not in sex. But when the couple were married and on the way to the hotel, it seemed like they were listening to a tape in the car that said you should enjoy sex with "all your senses". Hmmm...sounds right to me!

I thought the whole thing was sweet and innocent. I hope the Lord blesses their obedience to His Word. I hope they'll be very happy as they discover themselves and each other.
I would have hated to take a vow about having children but I am sure they have discussed this a lot. However, many times people get married and start a family think, "I want 5" and end up only being able to handle 2 or 3. I didn't want any when I married and ended up wanting one, maybe 2. We ended up having an only mostly because of private school and $$ issues.

I thought the talk that his dad gave him was honest and open with good advice. If only every guy had a father like that.

There is so much trash on television and to see such a pure and wholesome young couple, truly, it was refreshing.

I don't understand the no dancing thing but every culture has its own ways and traditions. I think it would have been nice to have a first dance but that is just me.

I know many people question this family but as the mother of an 18 yo, if a young man like Josh Duggar was courting my daughter, I would be very pleased. I think Josh will be a loving and caring husband and a good father too.

I thought it was beautiful when he sang to her, what a lovely touch!

I would NEVEr allow my child to marry someone like that. I don't undestand how you can marry someoone you've never had sex with or kissed. iIhought tJim Bob was pretty much calling women stupid, flighty people who just want a wedding and want to talk about trival things. He made marraige sound like a job. it's not a job. I's a commitment. I on't think they are following God's "potocol". To me the best loveing famly on TV is Jon and kate. Tey are a real family with realy morals and they are NORMAL!

I believe Jim Bob said it was a book by a Dr. Wheat. I did not catch the name of the book when they showed the cover.
