A Very Disney Christmas! Nov/Dec 2010 PTR (Trip Drama & 2 Days! 11/24)

Tuesday night we purchased some new living room furniture from Ashley Furniture and they were able to deliver it today!! We were sooo excited b/c we've been sitting on a chair and a half and bean bag chairs for almost 2 months now! We bought a loveseat, sofa, and chair!! I LOVE how they look in the room!! Take a look!

Tomorrow we have tickets to see Toy Story 3 in 3D at noon!! We cannot WAIT to see it!!! The girls have been talking about it all week! Here is what they're going to wear to the movie!

After the movie tomorrow we'll be driving to Nashville for the night and on Saturday we'll be seeing "Beauty and the Beast" (remember the tickets Brent got me for Mother's Day?! Well, Saturday is the day!! Can't wait!). And then we'll drive from Nashville to Alabama to spend the rest of the weekend with Brent's parents for Father's Day!

Love the furniture Becky!!! Woo Hoo for Toy Story 3!!! We are heading to the movies to see it in a few hours

Hey Becky...

love the pictures of the girls...too sweet. I wish my eyelashes looked that good :goodvibes

Wiz of Oz is like my ultimate fav movie...that would have been so fun to see. Love the girls shirts for TS3...Nathan will be wearing his themed shirt too when he & I see it tomorrow.

Have a wonderful weekend, sounds super busy but fun!

J~

Becky,

I have a Bibbity Bobbity Boutique question for you. First off, sorry that your pictures didn't turn out from your recent trip. That totally stinks.

I've noticed that you always book BBB 1st thing in the morning, at 8 am. How do you keep Ally in those clothes all day? My daughter complains that the costumes are itchy and uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. Even the original Disney ones purchased from Disney. For her Snow White dress she had to wear a tshirt under it just so it wouldn't annoy her as much.

Do you have a secret tip?

THANKS!

Cute dance pictures, Becky! I always love going to the recitals. Looks like the girls did a great job! You must be a proud mommy. :lovestruc
So sweet of Claire to name her dogs after her and her big girl. Love the bracelets.
The furniture looks great in your house! I love what you picked out. I've been on the lookout for a new kitchen table for a about a month now. Haven't found what I've been looking for yet.
Hope you enjoy TS3!! We're waiting for next week to see it.

I already commented on FB, but your girls looked ADORABLE at their recital! I loved Ally's tap outfit! You must be one proud mama :goodvibes
Also, saw that you loved TS3 and that it was a tearjerker!! We're sooo excited to see it tonight-- I can't imagine how packed the theater will be. I'm still surprised that it wasn't crowded when you saw it!

Awww, it looks like the girls had a great recital! You got some great pictures! :thumbsup2 It looks like it was a really well-done show!

And I love the new furniture! That's always so much fun - I'm currently wanting a new entertainment center for my family room, but I'm trying to talk myself out of it because I don't know what I would do with the one I have now! :confused3

Have a great weekend away! You're going to love Beauty and the Beast I'm sure. I saw it years ago on Broadway and it remains one of my favorite shows! :goodvibes

First off - Sara...OMG!!! I can't believe you spotted Becky in that photo!!! That is just unbelievable!!!

I scanned all photos the 1st time - didn't see her.

Then scanned all of them again - still didn't see her.

I thought perhaps you were referencing the people way in the background on the pool slide and couldn't figure out how you could have picked her out.

Then I went back to your post and saw that you referenced the 7th picture. I had to go back through the photos again, and....WOWZA!!! OMG - it's Becky!!!!:rotfl:

I couldn't believe it! Good spotting girl!!! That is too funny! I wonder how many of us are sitting in other people's albums right now in photos just like that!

Becky - what wonderful photos you have of the girls' recital! What a production!!! I am so envious of how first-rate children's dance productions are in the States. While we have a number of professional dance studios here, none of them can compete with what you guys have in the States. Everything from the costumes to the entire production sounded amazing!

Did you take any video? I would love to see it!:)

Hope you enjoy Toy Story! A couple months ago I had it in mind for Declan's Birthday Party next weekend, but I am so glad we switched our theme. Turns out we have been invited to THREE Toy Story B-Day parties over the next 2 weekends!

Enjoy your weekend away, and have a fantastic time at Beauty and the Beast! What a wonderful Mother's Day present! :goodvibes

OMG! The girls' recital pics are fantastic! Those dances are too cute!

Have fun at B&TB and happy Father's day!

Hi Becky, I've so enjoyed following along on your PTR, as we'll be staying at the Poly in December, and it's fun to hear what your plans will be for your November/December trip. Anxious to read your May trip report! The girls look beautiful at their recital; I'm so excited for my daughter to be old enough to start dance!

Your girl's dance picture are too cute! They both look like they really enjoy it so much. I miss my DD taking dance. She took ballet and tap last year and they did the most precious dance to "A Whole New World" from Aladdin at the recital. The problem was that we got to see the older girls dance at the recital as well and I was shocked and disgusted at their skimpy/trashy costumes, the music and dancing styles. Even the 7 year old girls danced to "She's a Brick House" in a way that just made me sick. I had no idea that the older girls were being taught those sorts of dances, so I didn't let my DD return this year (she would have been going into that 7 year old class). One of the groups of teenage girls also danced to "Baby Got Back" and I honestly thought a stripper pole was going to descend down from the ceiling at any moment! It was the most unbelieveable thing I have ever witnessed. Thank God my DD was in the back waiting for her song and didn't see that freak show! After seeing your pictures though and remembering how much we enjoyed it otherwise, I'm wondering if we should look into another dance studio.

Loved the house pictures too. It is all very pretty! Love that wood flooring.

I have to wait to see pictures from home, so I've just now seen the girls recital pictures. They are so incredibly adorable! :goodvibes

How did you like Toy Story 3? We saw it tonight and I just loved it! It was so cute and then ending was just perfect. A great way to end the trilogy.

Hi Becky,
I loved the girls recital pictures, they are so adorable! Looks like they love dance so far :goodvibes. Your new furniture looks great too! I guess your new home is coming along. We are still waiting for our dining room set( back ordered) and new sofa for the bonus room. Will be delivered in July. I hope you have a great Father's day weekend with your family and enjoy Beauty and the Beast. We loved :cloud9: it so much when we saw it in NYC that we had to see it twice. Your family will love it too I'm sure.

CUTE recital pictures!! Your girls are so adorable! I can't wait until Sarah Kate is old enough to start dance classes.

Love your new furniture!!

The girls TS3 outfits are really cute! Hope you guys enjoyed it!

I know that you are going to have a blast at Beauty and the Beast today! Have a good weekend with Brent's family!

The girls looked adorable at their recital :goodvibes I am sure it was so fun to watch BOTH of them this year!!

I love your furniture!!! I think it goes great in your living room. Also (we did it AGAIN) that is my screen saver too!!! :rotfl: I also changed my background on DIS to the Christmas Screen to get in the mood!

I am sure you had a blast at Beauty and the Beast! Hope you update about it soon!!

TS3 was GREAT, wasn't it? I just posted about our experience. I love the girl's outfits. I am sure you all loved the movie as much as we did.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of the girls at their recital. They are beautiful!!

Sounds like you are having a busy weekend! I can't wait to hear about it when you return.

Trish

All caught up here now too. :goodvibes I hope you are having a great time with your family this weekend! Great pictures at the recital - the Wizard of Oz ballet looked amazing!!

We just heard of Ashley furniture and are considering buying a couch from them as well for our new place - there is one fairly close to our new house. Did you like your experience with them? How is the price versus quality? It looks really beautiful, so just seeing your pictures makes me even more apt to go check them out!

Tuesday night we purchased some new living room furniture from Ashley Furniture !

First off, Becky, Ally and Claire look adorable in their dance costumes. I'm sure it was a fun night. :thumbsup2

Secondly, I just have to share a funny coincidence (since it always seems we have something in common). Kevin actually worked for Ashley Furniture as their HR manager about ten years ago. We had several pieces of their furniture!

We just heard of Ashley furniture and are considering buying a couch from them as well for our new place - there is one fairly close to our new house.

Just repeating that DH worked for the company from '98-2000. We had a sofa and two oversized chairs w/ottomans, which we later sold. We still eat off our Ashley kitchen table and dining room table, too. :)

Congrats on being published, Becky! That's awesome and a special way to preserve a special memory for your family for sure! :goodvibes

Cute cute recital pictures....and your new furniture looks great in that room! I'm sure you guys were ready to have some real furniture in there!
