A Very Disappointed Dvc Member

*standing up and applauding the OP*

I stayed for the VERY first time at SSR and HHI about a month ago. I have no idea what's so hard to believe about the OP.

SSR was FANTASTIC (but that's a whole other thread) ;)

I thought that the 'bug' thing was only me. In our 2 bedroom, there was OPEN food left in the kitchen cupboards from the family before us - if that doesn't bring bugs, I don't know what does.

We saw so many bugs around that DH was always on me to 'keep the luggage zipped up' as to not let any in.

To the OP - I'm sorry you had a bad experience, as a result of mine - I've just decided to never stay at HHI again. But I assure you that my experience won't deter me from trying other DVC resorts because thankfully my stays at BWV and SSR MORE then made up for it. :)

And those palmetto bugs - eeeuuwwwwwwww! I hate them too! But they are all over and do get inside!

We've had a "palmetto bug" visit us one time at HH. It moved so slowly that DH was able to have it walk right into an empty beer bottle. :rotfl2: Maybe it just liked the aroma? :drinking1 ;)

We've had our share of problems at HH but nothing that was not taken care of rather quickly. One year, it seemed like the maintenance man was in our villa almost as much as we were. When we were "home" we had to make sure the privacy lock was on to make certain he didn't surprise us. :earseek:

We've always found things that weren't right. One year, housekeeping came to clean an area of the carpet which was long past needing to be cleaned (looked like an entire can of pop spilled in the hallway). Our DS was little and enjoyed playing on the floor. Housekeeping was more than willing to come and clean it up for us. While they did, we all went out onto the balcony. It was a good thing our older DS needed to go to the bathroom before housekeeping was done, because just out of habit, housekeeping locked us out. :) It would have been a sight to see us try and get off the balcony.

Things happen. I don't doubt that the OP was not happy. But, I've aways found that it's better to say something right away than not.

There is two things you do. The first min after you see the problems in the room, you complain if this really happened.
Next if you dont like what you experience at disney after spending 15,000, then sell.. Simple.
Between this and your post above, all I can say is what ignorant things to say!

So if you have a problem you should shut up and sell....not try and get things remedied?.......
