Hi Jillian!

Well, I got sucked in. I saw that you liked the cats acting out the HP series. Not everyone gets sucked in. My girls couldn't care less.

I bet the fairs are drawing the people in.

Haha, yes the cats were funny. I wish I got sucked in, it's kinda fun being a part of something so big like that. The only 'series' of movies I have really gotten into is Pirates. I am not into HP, or Twilight, or Star Wars even. I only become familiar with Star Wars from the ride at DL. :rotfl: I was so little when that ride opened (or maybe I wasn't even born yet )
Anyways, have a good evening everyone! :)

Thanks for the greetings everyone!

DisneyStitch626 where is Alberta are you? I live right in Calgary now and we're all about Stampede for a couple more days! I love Stampede with all the cowboys in their fantastic jeans and boots

I live in Red Deer now, but I am from Calgary and most of my family lives there still. We were at the Stampede yesterday. Lots of fun, but soooo tiring! Lol. I swear you get extra pixie dust energy walking around Disneyland, cause I don't think I did nearly the amount of walking yesterday but felt twice as tired! Still lots of fun though! We try to go every year if we can afford it. I miss being in Calgary during the whole week though. The whole city gets into it and it's such a cool vibe.

I never got into HP either. I have tried and tried. I've seen the first 5 movies and tried to read the first book. The movies are ok, but I never found them great, and I couldn't finish the book. Maybe it's just not for me. :confused3 Twilight on the other hand.....might have been a little obsessed at one point.

Hey All!

So we weren't really planning on going to the Stampede, cause once we found out we were going to Disneyland, we decided the Stampede was too expensive. My mom bribed us into going though. She said she would pay for our way into the gates if she could babysit Seth while we were there.

We had a pretty fun day though. That place can be so expensive if you're not careful. Garrett and Grace spent $250 in the first 45 minutes they were there. Between ride coupons, food, backpacks (radio stations sell them for $15 filled with goodies), and then they went on one of the crazy rides -and that alone was $100 for the two of them- it adds up real fast.

Dillon and I only took out $40 cause all we were planning on doing was walking around and eating. Luckily we stuck to it! We ended up going on a few rides with the others so they could use up their tickets. We all felt we were getting old for those kinds of rides. After 2 or 3, we just weren't feeling it. I needed to talk myself into not taking out any money, cause some games had prizes that were HUGE Smurfs and I wanted one so bad, lol.

Anyways, it was a good day. Love the Stampede! :)

Oh I agree with the pixie dust thing. When I went for the Star Tours preview, we had to check in super early, we ended up checking in around 5:30am and stayed there until midnight! With no breaks! And I only started feeling tired around 11:45pm! I don't think I could do anything like that anywhere else without getting cranky.

Good for you on not going over your set spending limit at the Stampede. I know how hard that is. I love spending money! :rotfl:

5:30am until Midnight??? That sounds like a loooong time, but also a great day! Love spending all day in the parks. If my brother wasn't so sick when we went and it wasn't raining most of our trip, I am sure we would have been doing opening-close days. This time we probably will. I am going to go for lots of walks up until then to get myself a little more prepared. Didn't get a lot of good exercise while I was pregnant, so that could also be the reason I was so tired yesterday!

I never got the Star Wars bug either and have only seen one of the Lord of the Rings movies. I read the Tolkien books though.

And I would say you weren't born yet. Star Tours opened in 1987. I was there the day it opened. I am old.:rotfl:

I was sleeping!

I hope you got good sleep.

Sounds like you had a good time. Your mom cracks me up. She is paying you to let her babysit.:rotfl:

I am with you, I set a budget and that is it. You were strong considering that there were Smurf things!! Good girl!!

That and lack of sleep.

:wave2: Hi all.

OK, so I really, really, really need to remember that the next time I want to cancel a membership/subscription to call to make sure it actually got cancelled rather than doing it all online. Sounds good? Great!!

Hi Jessica!!

Uh oh. That doesn't sound too good.

It could have been worse. I have just been spacing for a long time and didn't realize I was still being charged for something I thought I cancelled ages ago. Finally called and got it taken care of today though so no more charges!! And I got some credited back to my card. I'm a happy camper.

Oh wow. That's great that they are crediting it back to you too.

Not all of it, just last month's charge and then this month's shouldn't go through. I'm happy about it. Especially since I never noticed it before.

I had a gym do that. And I was not a nice person about it.

Hehe. I'm not much into making noise about it. If it was a larger monthly charge I probably would, but consiering I never even noticed it and it was really low it's not really worth the trouble for me to try and get any more comped back. It was an easy phone call and the woman I spoke with was pleasant so I'm happy.

Glad my logic makes sense to someone else :goodvibes

So I'm cashiering at work for the first time in a few years on Tuesday. I'm kind of nervous about it!!

Oh wow. I think change can make it fun. You definitely won't be bored.

You know I saw some at this moment pictures from New Orleans Square and it isn't busy. Now explain why the park isn't slam bang busy. I would think that today would be busy.
