Eating dinner and catching up on last night's episode of The Franchise. I need to remember to go to sleep early(ish) tonight. Waking up at 4am is getting harder to do when I only have to do it once a week!!

Get good rest!!

I just got home with a 2012 Hyandai Sonata. Traded in my Mercedes for it! I can pay for 2 years on the lease for the amt my Mercedes was going to cost just for the current repairs. Plus I don't have to pay it all at once.

:cool1: Yay Paula.....sorry you have to take on payments again (I know that feeling.......) but getting a new vehicle with a warranty will be worth it in the end!!! :woohoo:

YAY! Hyundai's are great cars. My mom has had her Hyundai Santa Fe for almost 10 years.

Thank You

I sure hope so. I was using the time without car payments to get out of some Credit Card debt so now I have to redo my whole spreadsheet.

That is excellent news!

So... I had talked to my hubby this morning when he woke up about the car and how I was seriously thinking of getting rid of the Mercedes as I just couldn't afford all the repairs and didn't want to get stuck somewhere with a car that was not running. We ended up going to lunch and while we were waiting for the phone call that the Mercedes was ready we were going to stop and LOOK at cars. The first place we stopped was Hyandai. We browsed around then starting talking financials. We gave them the info on the Mercedes and they gave us a Trade-In offer without ever even seeing the car!

Mercedes never even called for us to come back and get it so I am really nervous about that. All they were supposed to do was put the sun roof back in... What could be taking so long?

Anyways... when Mercedes calls us we have to bring it over to Hyandai..

They still let me take my brand new car home even without having the Trade-In. It had 14 miles on it when I drove it off the lot!

I remember when I drove my new truck off the lot (back in 2006 now) and it had 5 km on it! I loved that no one else had driven it before me! Now it has 26,600 km on it but I still love her anyway!

Also Hi everyone :wave2: Paula said I should stop by this thread so here I am!

Hi! :) welcome to the thread!
Good morning everyone!

Welcome Alli!!

I'm still really nervous about having bought this car without doing more research or looking at others but I suppose the fact that it is a Lease and it is covered under warranty needs to relieve my doubts!

It is supposed to get better mileage and it takes REGULAR gas instead of premium so I can save about $3 each time I fill up my tank!

In good news! The better gas mileage and cheaper gas means it will be cheaper to drive to DL!!

It's funny, how all of us DISers always relate stuff back to Disneyland. :rotfl:
I do it all the time too.
Yay for better gas mileage, and regular gas!

Ha-Ha! When you lease a vehicle you only get so many miles per year. Hubby was like... You need more so you can make trips to DL! At least he knows I love to go even if he doesn't have any interest!!!

That's pretty amazing that they let you take the car without the trade being ready yet. Nice of them though. The fact that it has a warranty should help put your mind at ease! Hopefully you enjoy it, despite that you have payments now.

:wave2: Hi Alli!! Welcome to our little home away from home!

Paula, I'm kind of excited about the new car, payments and all. Is that going to impact the possibility of taking your September/October trip?

Anyways, hi all!

Hope you all are having a great Friday! Even though I know for most of us, it isn't a 'real' Friday at all...actually it's my Sunday. :(

I have been super lazy all day....spend all day yesterday at Diana Falls, this pretty river/falls place that's not too far from Yosemite. So today I am super sore from being outside all day, swimming, climbing, falling...
Going to have dinner at this yummy Mexican restaurant to celebrate my sister officially completing her Masters program! :woohoo:

Hello! We turned in the Mercedes but they forgot to have us sign some more paperwork so I have to go back and do that tomorrow.

Jazz... It shouldn't! It just means no splurging on the hotel and going for my cheap standby.

Just a quick fly-by before I go to the store!! Hiya!!

Hey, your cheap alternatives sound like a great idea to me. That way I can tag along because I'm pooooooooor. Well, not really :rotfl:

So wanna know what I spent my 4th of July holiday pay on? New running shoes!! And some running short things too.

Gotta love that extra little pay for working the holidays. :thumbsup2
I won't see how it's affected my paycheck until next Friday. Perfect timing for my trip!

I got my Minnie shirt that I ordered from Junk Food today! That was fast.

I love when things ship fast and then you're actually surprised when they arrive. That's always a great way to make me smile!

Today was a short enough run that I decided to just take out the new shoes to break them in - it felt good!

Jessica, sounds great. New running shoes are a good investment.

Jillian, you have to love when they ship quickly.
