Yay for extra money!! Just keep on thinking about your b-day trip and how helpful having some extra cash will be! :)
Everyone at my work has been calling in sick, so I have been picking up extra shifts too....
I just can't stand the irresponsible ones. People who call in for no reason really. One guy just put in his 2 weeks, and suddenly he's been sick every day since. My boss said he will have to fire him then before he can officially quit because there is some rule about so many days off without a doctors note.
It's just not fair to those of us who are responsible. A guy I work with is always willing to cover shifts, stay extra hours, and even comes in when he's not feeling that great. There are some people who call in at least once or twice a month and the main reason being "they are not feeling well" aka they have a hangover. :sad2:

Hey everyone :goodvibes
Rough week for me on this end. My sister was rushed into emergency surgery for her appendix so I was a bit swamped.......making it worse I had a six page essay due in the morning. I was able to get through everything and take care of my little sisters. Essay was finished and the final draft is due tomorrow morning!

Aren't you precious Miss Row!!! How did you get your hair to do that? I've tried to so something similar with my DD's hair, but I can never get it to line up properly.

Very pretty, Row!

Well, it's the final countdown before my presentation. It's on this emergent curriculum for a 4 year old I was observing that I got to hypothetically create. I'm just really not looking forward to the talking aspect of it. And my documentation panel is horrendous. I am not creative in this way. I'm still freaking out about it and I'm sick to my stomach. My Prof. knows about my panic attacks though and I'm actually doing the presentation before class in her office. Otherwise I think I'd pass out or something. 2 1/2 more hours and it will be all over with. The worst I can do is still screw it up.

Which hair doo?
The one for Trevors prom his mommy did for me :goodvibes
The up-do my moms best friend did for me.

Row, you looked very pretty at your Proms! :)

Jessica, good luck tonight! You can do it!

I found an exciting article today Jessica. Target is coming to Canada!! Target's are going to start appearing here soon! And for some reason I just knew it would be taking over Zellers when it did. Looking forward to seeing what they're like! Never did make it to one in the US cause our GPS took us to somewhere where we were the targets, not to the actual store!

I Just got off work, about an hour ago, and I need to get up at 5am to get ready for my 7:30am graduation ceremony tomorrow! Whoever decided it would be a good idea to hold a ceremony earlier than any of the classes I ever took at that school is nuts! Oh well, my family is more excited than me! I've been done with school since December and already got my diploma in the mail, so the excitement is kinda over for me. It's just that they only hold an actual ceremony once a year in Spring, so I had to wait till now to walk in it.

Row you look so pretty! I love the dress!! :)
Andrea, YAY about Target! I love that store!!
Jessica, I hope the presentation went well! (I am sure it did! :goodvibes)
Hope everyone else has a good Friday! :wizard:

What an early time for a graduation! Congratulations on graduation!!

So far I love it!! The parts about the Little Mermaid got me all teary eyed....it's the first Disney movie I was ever obsessed with, so it holds a special place in my heart. I know I am gonna be a mess when I ride the new Ariel ride in DCA!
As soon as I heard they had a public soft opening (read: cameras allowed) I knew there would be a video up. I searched YouTube and sure enough there was a HD video of the whole ride. :lovestruc I got all mushy, the Little Mermaid is one of my first loves too. It will be awesome in person! :thumbsup2

So yesterday was the selection interview, which determines going forward to background/psych/polygraph. 2 people, and 1 of them - my husband went through the academy with! DH thinks that's a good thing, especially since I don't think I flubbed the interview and hit pretty much all the right points :confused3 But you never know. Like I said, stiff competition and they have to narrow the field somehow. Continued prayers and :goodvibes please! I'll know no later than next Tuesday if I'm continuing in the process.

Good luck with this. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, I know this is important to you,:flower3:

Congrats on the Graduation Jillian! That's awesome.

Tania, I hope the interview work well for you! :goodvibes

I am not having that great of a day. Dillon's mom is coming to pick me up for lunch soon, and as much as I like his mom, I still feel uncomfortable in one on one situations with her.

And then after that, Dillon's work is throwing us a mini baby shower, which I am also very appreciative of, but I hate being put on the spot. I didn't like being at my own baby shower with everyone I knew, let alone going to one where I don't know anyone and they are all staring at me. I don't get panic attacks, but right now I feel like I am on the verge of one. Since school and up until now, I have managed to avoid these kinds of situations. Ugh, I hate being forced into things! Oh well, I can't really leave Dillon to do it alone. But he could have told them the whole thing wasn't necessary or something.

Thank you:goodvibes

Tania-good luck! Good vibes and prayers coming your way!

Andrea-I am the same way, about being at your own party type thing. I love going to parties/baby showers etc for other people and I love supporting them, but I guess I feel sorta guilty when it's my own celebration. I would rather be on the other side of the situation.
Have fun, you deserve a little party, and I think it's really nice that they are doing it for you guys. And try to just relax and enjoy it all. The baby will be here soon!! SO exciting!!

I am back, and it wasn't so bad. I am quite overwhelmed with everything, but it's all good. I have that guilty feeling too. We have been SO spoiled with baby stuff. We have barely gotten anything ourselves. It's really, really nice, but I feel guilty about it all. Don't know why.

Yesterday, one of the offices Dillon helps out at (not even his own company) gave us a $250 glider chair for the baby room. I am still really shocked about that one. It's something I really wanted but never told anyone because they are so expensive. So I am very grateful for it, but I don't even know the people, so it's a little strange to me still. But at least I can say we are all set. We have everything we ever needed and wanted and even more. It's safe to say we are prepared. Now it's time for baby to come on out!!
