I don't think I have heard the commercial. It is National Nurses week so I imagine that is why it is on.

You I am sure that it is. It is a really nice commercial talking about how much nurses do and why we should all appreciate them. Boy I totally agree, when I was in the hospital for that over five months I was in the hospital in 2007 I can tell you just how amazing the nurses at Kaiser are.

I love it when I know I've made a difference. I really enjoy being a nurse.

Yeah, I had to have emergency surgery and had a stroke following it. I was in ICU for nearly four weeks. Then I went to a Kaiser rehab center, and another Kaiser followed by going back to rehab and finally to Vallejo rehab. It was not something I want to repeat.

But, if it weren't for the wonderful nurses I had I wouldn't be here.

What was funny was I was sitting in the chair falling asleep thinking I was going to head to bed... Then the phone rang...

I was just saying yesterday I didn't have any extra shifts this month and I really needed some so I couldn't turn it down.

Thankfully I was kept busy enough to stay awake.

Hello everyone!

Sorry to hear that you all are suffering from allergies. Does not sound like it's easy to enjoy spring when you have to deal with that. I have been enjoying the sun today and even got to wear my flip flops!!! Oh how I missed them.

So I decided to wash the crib bedding I got from Ebay and put it on the crib to see how it looks, and I am so happy with it. And it's odd. Garrett (my brother) bought me a Mickey Mouse for my birthday while we were in Disneyland. He has soft colours, not like the normal mickey. His ears and arms are brown instead of black. Well that's what the covers are like too, and they go perfectly! So weird! Anyways, here is a pic. Ignore our ugly green carpet! Lol.

I agree Michele, the nurses at Kaiser pretty much all rock I've rarely had a bad experience. Go Paula!

Thank you all for the compliments on the bedding! I searched for a while for something Mickey, and I am happy with what I found. There is a bumper that came with it too, but I didn't put it on, because apparently those are dangerous now.

Glad to hear you were able to stay awake for your shift Paula. Even though extra shifts are good for your trip, I am not sure I could prepare my head for a day of work with that little notice! I envy you for that!

Anyways, I am off to meet Dillon for lunch. Hope you are all having a good day!

We ended up just having A&W though. We were going to go for Pizza Huts lunch buffet, but it ended at 1, and we had just gotten there at 1, lol. Oh well, maybe later this week.

It is so beautiful out today. I want to go and sit out in the sun. But before I can do that, I need to get rid of our ant issue. Every year because of a certain plant we have in our backyard, we get lots of ants that we have to get rid of before enjoying the weather. And I was just at Walmart, but do you think I thought of getting ant stuff? Of course not!

I am not a huge Minnie fan (prefer Mickey), but those are pretty cute. I like the white better than the black. Still haven't seen one that I like more than the one I got yet, which is probably a good thing! Lol.

I have a princess dooney little bag thing. I LOVE it! I always take it to the parks with me, it's small and fits exactly what I need--phone, camera, money/cards and my FPs and AP!
& I barely even notice I am holding it.

This is mine. I've used it constantly since I bought it in DL in October, and it still looks brand new. I added the little charms to it when I bought it, and I love them on it. Looks like I will have to get new ones when I go back though, cause they are looking pretty beat up these days. I love my bag though. I am always getting asked where I got it. Then see the disappointment in their faces when I tell them Disneyland, so I try to make them feel better by telling them they can order online, lol. Still have yet to see anyone else with one though.

Your bag is really cute! I almost got that series, but the wristlet was a bit too small, so that's why I got the princess one. I always get asked about mine too, even in Disneyland! The D&B bags are really made well! Which is nice considering that they are a bit pricey. But they are great quality, and I am surprised the zipper on mine hasn't broke on me yet. There have been times I tried to cram waaayy to much into that small thing

The quality definitely makes the price you pay worth it. Mine was $160, which is a LOT for me to spend on a purse. I have never been much of a girly girl, so spending more than $30 on a purse has never been something I like to do. But I am so glad I did. It was my one big splurge for my birthday (other than the trip to DL of course), and I love it. There is a little tiny pocket inside with no zipper, but I have never used it, cause you can't really put much in it! Lol.

They released some photos from the POTC 4 Premiere the other night, and there are a couple that really make me wish I could have been there, lol!
