A Very Chit-Chat Thread

Regarding ART, there are different locations that you can purchase the tickets at. If a stop is near one's hotel, normally the hotel will have the passes for sale. It is $4.00 for one 24 hour period. Multi-day passes are available too. The OCTA is also $4.00 for a day pass. Otherwise it is $1.50 each way, no transfer (I think that part is weird, but then I am from San Francisco, where transfers exist)
I do not know if this is the case of all local Denny's Restaurants, but the one that is on South Harbor and Orangewood has the day pass for ART on sale at $3.00.
I have the link somewhere for ART, when I locate it, I will post it for y'all.

i'm lost, what is this in reference to?

indeed they are. i have to make sure we go outside at least an hour a day or all he'll wear all day is just undies, the boy doesn't like clothes.

Oh that's funny. You're raising a nudist!!:rotfl:

He doesn't like clothes? That is funny, I can relate though, for I am most comfy in my pajamas. OK so that is still clothing, but it is not the whole 9 yards, ya know?

He might just be a mini nudist in the making. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course. You know what I mean.

In San Francisco, the right hand side of Baker Beach is the area where the nudists go to well.........hang out... I try not to walk to closely to that area of the beach, for very few of the men, are worth checking out. And yes.... I did say that....

Goofy Mom,

The ART reference is for Andrea, and actually anyone else that might be able to benefit from it. For yesterday, we were posting about places to stay, and transportation to the park.

ahh!! i didn't read that far back:thumbsup2

Thank you for all the info on ART Gisele. It will probably be really useful to us. :goodvibes We might end up using it just in the evenings.

Your Welcome. :)

I have used ART in the past, when I had stayed at the Days Inn that is on West Ball Rd. The front desk sells the passes too. ART was so very timely for me. The most I ever waited for it in the a.m. to go to Disneyland, was but a few minutes or so. Otherwise, as I was approaching the stop, so was ART. Ah... a thing of beauty! :)

I used ART from the HoJo my last trip. It wasn't necessary but I felt it saved my feet some so worth it to me. Unfortunately I always timed it wrong and had to wait but I had allowed plenty of time so it was okay.

I just started my PTR for my June trip... I am SO excited for this trip! I can't wait!

We used ART in June once or twice and then I thought about the fact that I had free parking with my AP and drove after that.

We used ART on our Christmas Trip, bought it despite all the bad talk on the DIS about it. Most of the complaints were in regard to folding up strollers and the like and since we did not have a stroller we went for it/ We really liked ART waits were short if any and the drivers were friendly and got to know you over the course of your stay since they were the same drivers daily. So much less hassle for me than a rental car and parking etc...we walked to the park every day but loved having an option to get home esp when Colton was dead on his feet poor little guy.

Reading your PTR now. No jibberish. You just sound excited and there is certainly nothing wrong with that!

ART sounds pretty useful. I went to a site for it though, and it didn't list our hotel as one of the contenders. But someone said it stops next to it. So can I go to that hotel to get tickets? Or should I go somewhere else?

And speaking of strollers...if we were to bring our child, does anyone know how much does it cost to rent a stroller from DL? And are they decent?

If I remeber correctly, strollers are $13/day. They are jogger type strollers. you get one before you enter the parks, so you don't have to turn it in at DL and get a new one at DCA. And, technically, you don't have to turn in your stroller where you rent it at the end of the day. I saw plenty of disney strollers parked along the fence line near baggage check everynight. keep you reciecpt if you leave in the afternoon or someone walks off yours. They'll give you a replacement one at no charge.

When I wanted to catch to ART bus from the HoJo stop I went inside to see if I could buy tickets. They said I could only get them from them if I had a room there as they bill it to your room. I'm not sure if all hotels are like that or just the HoJo. I ended up buying my 3-day pass from the kiosk at DL. 3 day was the longest one they had though...

Not all of the hotels sell them. There are hotels where you can buy them, should not be a problem doing so, if you are not staying there. You just pay cash. I believe they can be ordered on line too. They can be sent to your hotel anyway. I have not looked at the site in awhile. I will have to do so. I got side tracked, sorry so I did not post the ART link yet.
