Yeah I am not so into NCIS: LA either.

Paula, I like that about the Caribbean sounds so good to me. Thank you I wasn't aware of that. And this is why I ask people for advice, that is a gem.

I love planning Disney trips! (About to start my Birthday PTR in a few moments!) and love to help others as well!

If you have any questions just ask! I last went to WDW in May 2009.

I'm not laughing... I think the next time I go is fall 2013! Now that is a ways away! The only way I will go sooner is if hubby decides on some odd whim that he wants to go too (I'm dreaming here!)

I think if you stay onsite then a car is not necessary. Yes you need to plan to get from one point to the next as everything is REALLY spread out but once you get used to the different transportation options it really works out okay. (To me at least!)

I am planning it for our 20th anniversary, so it will be just him and I.

The whole thing daunts me. I am so used to Disneyland where once I get down there I am there I can walk to my destination. It's like a whole new world.:rotfl:

Our first WDW trip is fall 2013 and we have already been talking about this. We had about decided on either the Polynesian or The Carribean Beach Resort when we saw a special on Animal Kingdom Lodge and it looks just amazing! So we are now looking into staying there.

I know a lot of people LOVE AKL but I know hubby and I will never stay there. We went there for dinner one night and when we were done with dinner we were heading to Magic Kingdom to catch the Fireworks. It took more then 20 minutes just to get a bus going to MK from AKL. Unless you plan to spend a lot of time at AK it is a lot longer from there to any other park. Just my opinion....

I am looking at all of them.:rotfl: I figure this will be my only trip there so we are going to blow it out.

Me too.

And believe me I will come to you for advice because you can give me advice from knowing Disneyland and what I am used to. Thank you.

That is so awesome! We went for our 5 year anniversary and it was really wonderful! I'm hoping to convince hubby to go again for our 10 year which would be May 2014 or sooner as I really want to go for a Food & Wine festival...

That is the thing I am kind of planning to catch part of the Food and Wine with the timing. I figure we can live with the crowds just to enjoy it.

I think if you go during the food and wine festival the crowds are not too bad except for the World Showcase at Epcot. The rest of the parks tend to be slower in the fall.

But, I need to go there too. Actually I want to see that the most.

hello all!! it's been a while since i've been in here. been busy with kids, potty training, exersicsing, school, and wdw plans. and from the little back reading i did, i'm not alone!! we're all booked and paid for, except for the halloween party those tickets aren't available yet. the kids haven't settled on a costume yet. monkey wants to be captain hook right now. i'm thinking i should go head and reserve a priates league makeover for him. if it turns out that he doesn't want to do it we could cancel it later. i think i've pretty much settled on alice in wonderland. i'll have to invest in a pair of white spandex type shorts though, wouldn't want to give anyone a free show.;)

from what i hear, if you avoid the weekends when the locals are there, it isn't too bad:thumbsup2 we'll be there on a monday in the middle of october. I'll be sure to take some crowd shots so you can see what the crowd looks like

Good info that may cut that one out of the running for us...not real good at waiting when I am ready to be somewhere.

I soooo wish DL would do something like the Pirate's League it is so sad that there is really nothing good for the boys at DL

I am so glad that I don't have to deal with potty training.

I've heard if you go earlier in the day and avoid the weekends at Epcot its not horrible...

I am going during the week for sure.

We are going to go for at 7 days so I will definitely have a weekday to do it.

Yes.... I am glad that I am done with my potty training too. ;) Sorry.... could not help me self.

Regarding ART, there are different locations that you can purchase the tickets at. If a stop is near one's hotel, normally the hotel will have the passes for sale. It is $4.00 for one 24 hour period. Multi-day passes are available too. The OCTA is also $4.00 for a day pass. Otherwise it is $1.50 each way, no transfer (I think that part is weird, but then I am from San Francisco, where transfers exist)
I do not know if this is the case of all local Denny's Restaurants, but the one that is on South Harbor and Orangewood has the day pass for ART on sale at $3.00.
I have the link somewhere for ART, when I locate it, I will post it for y'all.
