A Very Chit-Chat Thread

I've got like a season and a half of One Tree Hill to catch up on, and a few episodes of Desperate Housewives. I've been thinking about a new show, but I don't know what I want to watch. People keep telling me Criminal Minds, but it sounds a lot like CSI, and I am just sick of those shows.

Yeah, I got sick of shows like that a while ago myself. Well, with the exception of The Closer. I fell in love with that show, but it had a lot to do with the main character. Actually, compared to how much I sued to watch I barely watch anything nowadays. But it's still too much.

I will be back. I need to go to the school and the store.

Have a good day Michele!

There is no way we could stay at any of the on sites for a whole trip unless we reduced the trip to like 2 days they are so pricey...so I decided for the next 3 trips we will spend our last night on site at each of the 3 hotels then I will have stayed at all 3 and when a time comes that we can actually do a real on site vacation I will know what I am really choosing from. Plus doing it the last night gives us a last special night before we leave.

I think that's why I really didn't want to watch Dexter at first, because it just seemed to be the same sort of thing. But it really was a lot different, and is now one of my top shows. I am glad I gave it a chance. But I am still not sure about Criminal Minds. The people telling me to watch are CSI fans.

Super 8 is labeled "A" on this map. Doesn't look like too far of a walk to me. Although ART might be nice in the evenings. Does anyone know how much an ART pass is? And how often it would go to the hotels.

We may be planning a trip as well for this fall. Me and Jon were laying in bed talking about DL last night, and he says me and him should go without the kids for our Anniversary this August. I can't even imagine how badly that would go over.:lmao:

I think the hotels labeled "I" or "D" are. I know one of them is the Del Sol, but not sure what the other is. I think Best Western. They look like they're across the street from the gate.

I think the ART passes are $10 for 3 days, which would work for you, $16 for 5 days. I think they run about every 30 minutes. Of course your instinct is right. From there you could walk, but it might be nice to have the ride back. Either way many other people will be walking to from that hotel.

I don't know Andrea, that looks like a bit of a walk to me. But, maybe i'm just lazy, there is a very good chance i am.

What is the closest hotel within walking distance to DL?

It depends. First of course is the GCH. But on the Harbor side. If you cross the sidewalk the Best Western Park Place Inn is closest. But if your room is on the north side the Park Vue Inn is closer. But the hotels are so tightly packed that it's only about 30 second more to go another hotel away from the gate.

It might be a bit of a walk. But I don't mind, at least in the mornings. With $44 a night, it might be worth it. The ride back at night on some nights might be needed though.

Yeah, for the price, you can't beat it. And like you said, in the evening if your tired, get a ride back. Have you decided if you will bring the baby or not?

Right now we are leaning towards not bringing him, and enjoying one last time just the two of us. But if it comes to the point where we are still itching to go, but aren't sure about leaving him for that long, then we will probably bring him. But I really would like to be able to do rides and things with Dillon. We aren't going any longer than 4 days, cause not sure I could go longer than that without him! lol.

It's really tough when they are little and there is just two people. We did that when Tessa was a baby and Bradley was about 6. I ended up staying with Tess while Jon took Bradley on the rides. Not our funnest trip. Honestly, if Grandparents will take care of him for a few days, that would be best. I know it will be tough to leave him, but it will be alot more fun.

That's what we were thinking. We will wait until he is 5 or 6 and can grasp what Disneyland is before we take him. That way it will be exciting to see him get excited about it.

You all are very good at chatting, I'm still trying to figure out what is going on.

My sister and I stayed at Desert Palms Hotel and Suites and it wasn't a bad walk at all, so I don't imagine the Super 8 would be that much worse of a walk. :confused3

Hey there!

We were just chatting about all the hotels to stay at around Disneyland. Trying to figure out whats best.

I am trying to find something that's under $100 a night, but isn't too far away. So far Super 8 is the biggest contender at $44 a night.

That's right Andrea! The funnest trip we had was when Tessa was about 5 and Bradley was about 11. We could go on everything as a family. And what made our trip fun last March was, Bradley was 18, and Tessa was 12, so we let them go off by themslves one evening and me and Jon ate at Blue Bayou and spent some alone time.

Also, another good thing to do is, see if Grandparents want to go along. My Mom went with us a few times, and it was nice because she had the room next to our's at the hotel with a connecting door between us and the kids would stay with her a couple evenings and me and Jon had alone time in the park.

You fit right in then, Wendy. Honestly, I don't think half of us know what's going on either. But it may just be me. I'm clueless.

Turtle!
(I also have a habit of just saying "turtle" for no other reason than I can)
