We went in August. I know a lot of people don't think this is ideal as it is so hot and there can be heavy rain showers, but we were very lucky, barely a drop of rain.

Kev,

Our friends from California informed us via Christmas card that they were planning to be at WDW in June.
Great excuse to plan another trip.
Because of your Savannah and HH videos, I was able to convince DH that we needed to do a side visit. Woohoo!

Any other trips in the works for the Stringers?

Hi Kevin

Beth here - I met you and Tammy and your girls a looooong time ago, at Gulliver's. I was there with my hubby and my own little girl. We had conversed on RADP beforehand. I remember your two as beautiful little blond pre-schoolers (I see they've since had the nerve to grow up into beautiful blond teenagers - my little blond has taken it one step further and turned into a 20 year old university student  ).

Anyway, it was a lovely video! Hope you had a great trip.

Funnily enough Deb, yes! (Although not to WDW).
We leave on Thursday for a week in St Lucia to celebrate my 50th birthday on March 20th. We are going with our friends Deb and Matt, the girls are staying at home.

Then in August me, Tam and the girls are doing a cruise in the Med visiting such places as Barcelona, Monaco, Rome, Santorini, Dubrovnik and Venice.
I'm definitely not planning to do any trip reports, I'm just going to relax and enjoy my holidays this year, although I may put up some video on my web page.

Fear not though, Disney will not be completely forgotten. I am currently hatching a cunning plan to return in May 2009.

Hi Beth. Both me and Tam remember you and your family well. I think you were the first people we ever met through the internet (we hadn't found the DIS at that time). Thank you for not being mass murderers or pickpockets as it might have put us off further meetings! :thumbsup2
It's funny how it seems such a short while ago that we met, I guess it's a sign of getting older that time seems to fly by.

Kevin, I have been absolutely begging my husband to do a Med cruise. My lucky daughter actually went on one the summer before her senior year in high school in conjunction with a high school "spoiled children trip"! :rolleyes1 That was 5 years ago, and I've been nagging ever since!
Please, please post a link here on the Dis. If he sees it through your eyes, I'll probably be able to talk him into it!
Enjoy your holidays.

Deb

Thank you so much for posting your video. We are new DVC members and going to HH this June for our first family trip. You and your family looked liked you really enjoyed yourselves. Was there anything we should be warned of? Or was it a perfect trip? Thank you again,
Elaine

Hi Elaine

I wrote a trip report about our visit to Hilton Head.
Have a look here: http://kevinstringer.co.uk/index.htm
Click on August 2007 Trip Report. The Hilton Head section starts on Day 10.

Cheers

I clicked on your TR link above for HH, and immediately read that you were at Watauga Lake, which is HERE! That just cracked me up for some reason! (By the way, the land developers call it "Lake Watauga", to make it sound swanky, but trust me, to the locals it's still Watauga Lake). Just amazing what a small world it is; my in laws live just 10 min. from the lake and we live in Johnson City. Glad you had such a good time!

Nice part of the world to live in, we had a great time.
Maybe you'll get to Gloucestershire in the UK one day! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for all the great info, it was so nice of you to share your family vacation with all of us. You never know, maybe we'll run into you when you're vacationing in the states again! You can't miss me I am definitely one of those "talk to everyone" kind of American.
Thanks, again,
Elaine
