08/04:
Today we decided to take a small break from the parks and rent a cabana and enjoy the resort. I woke up at 8 a.m. and headed down to get a caramel macchiato and pay for my cabana. We had originally paid for 9, but we upgraded to 10 (musicquarium). DS and DW stayed in the room sleeping and I would go wake them later. After paying for the cabana and having my coffee I went back to the room to wake DW and DS up. To my surprise, they were getting dressed in their swim suits and already ahead of me. Great job! Once all dressed we headed down and got situated in the cabana. DS flipped out when he saw that he had "fishies" all over his cabana and he felt like he was in a tank. Good job Dad! So after relaxing, DW and DS went in the pool and I met our server Alana. She was great. She checked on us very often and took really good care of us. She brought over our drinks in the fridge. Per my request: 4 diet cokes, 2 sprite and 3 waters. She said she would refill if we needed her too. We then ordered lunch from the beach club and Alana delivered it. We had: DW had nachos, I had the popcorn shrimp and DS had chicken tenders. The food was good and the portions are HUGE!!!!!!!! You can definitely share. We did not finish our lunch. Total bill with tip $36.28. Definitely worth it to me. After lunch, we all swam and it started to rain. We headed to our cabana to watch tv while all others ran to the inside of the hotel. That was worth the price in itself. The rain let up and we all went swimming again. Later on, we went to Emack and Bolios, and DW and DS had icecream while I had another caramel macchiato. How I love those!!!!!!! After swimming some more, we decided to change and head to IOA as DS wanted to ride Spiderman and DW wanted to go to the Betty Boop store. We changed in our cabana and left it closed up. No one went in and our server watched it for us. Great service really! So after we went to IOA, we decided to head over to PBH as we would be checking in here today. I got a late check out from the HRH, and check in was a breeze at PBH. After checking in and settling down our luggage, we went back to Citywalk and had dinner at Margaritaville. WE loved it! DW and I had cheeseburgers in paradise, wings as an appetizer and DS had chicken tenders. Total bill $42.63 with tip. The atmosphere here is cool. The stilt walkers came by and made my son a shark balloon hat, and the volcano erupted. Lots of fun! After dinner we went to Cinnabon and took some snacks back for later in the evening in the cabana. We then headed to HRH, and changed back to our swimsuits in our cabana and went swimming. We watched the fireworks, had our cinnamon buns, and walked to the PBH!!!! Good bye HRH!!!!!
Next stop: PBH and back to Universal Studios!
