I haven't been to Universal in about 10 years and have a couple of questions.
DS and DD are planing a trip and they want to know how the rides are for tall and big people.
DS is on the bigger and taller side.

Also how does a disability pass work there? DGD is going and has autism.

Also resort recommendation for a place to stay onsite.

Thank you for any help.

Can't help on disability pass

but for big and tall, UO is known to be fairly unforgiving (epic was a step in the right direction). Depending how big, Hulk, Velicoaster, Mummy, Rip Ride Rocket, Hagrids, Foribben Journey could be issues. Most rides do have a modified seating for bigger people, so it could be ok (Hagrids, Mummy and FJ do not have on as far as Im aware).

That's too bad. DS is the one that would ride the more thrilling rides with DGD.

DS is 6"5 and about 350 pounds if that helps

Most likely wont fit on Velicoaster or Hagirds unfortunately

I would check out various youtubers (themepark express being one), and articles about it. Will help give you a good idea. If you go to themepark express, check out his earlier vids. He's lost a decent amount of weight over the year, so recent ones won't be as helpful (he was over 320 i believe early in his career)

Suggest applying for IBCCES card up to a month before your visit.

Individual Accessibility Card Programme

Universal Orlando has developed an Attractions Assistance Pass for Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting for extended periods in a conventional attraction queue environment. The Attractions Assistance Pass is an accommodation designed to provide equal access to theme park attractions and is not to bypass other Guests waiting in the attraction queue.

Guests requesting an attraction queue accommodation may obtain the IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card (IAC) by registering at AccessibilityCard.org within 30 days of their visit to the park and at least 48 hours before their visit. The IAC registration consists of an online application that includes uploading necessary documentation. IBCCES does not require or ask Guests to disclose their medical or psychological diagnosis or condition.

Guests who only need to use their mobility device do not need to apply for the IAC as our attraction queues and park entrances are accessible.

Once the Guest receives an approved IAC, a Universal Orlando Team Member will contact the cardholder to discuss the appropriate attraction queue accommodation for the cardholder's visit.

Upon arrival to Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure, the approved IAC cardholder will present the approved IAC to Guest Services in a dedicated fulfilment location near park entry to receive their attraction queue accommodation. Guests visiting Universal Volcano Bay will experience queuing attractions by using the Virtual Line experience.

Note: An IAC does not guarantee a Guest will receive an Attractions Assistance Pass. Universal Orlando will determine the appropriate queue accommodation based on the cardholder's specific needs.

Guests who are unable to register in advance may contact Universal Destinations and Experiences Guest Accessibility team at (407) 817-8349 or visit any Guest Services location at the theme parks for additional information.

Note: Universal Orlando does not issue the IAC. Only IBCCES can issue the IAC.

It’s a straight-forward process. You will need to upload supporting document(s) to IBCCES. They do seem rather flexible as to exactly what suffices.

You will get a temporary card, followed by a permanent one likely the next day that will be used when you speak to Universal DAS.

If approved for the accommodation by Universal, you are eligible to utilize it for future visits over the next year. Then, you can easily just renew the IBCCES card each year & just stop back at the dedicated GS window outside the park. No need for another interview as long as you keep the IBCCES card current.
