A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Good morning, MeMom! Another beautiful set of photos -- I just love those meerkats! :goodvibes

Good luck with testing today -- it is day 2 of 5 for us!

Not sure about taking the boys to see the movie. We're all excited to go see Up!

Those balloon pictures were awesome!!!! :goodvibes

Good luck today! :wizard: I'll be thinking of you! :wizard:

Great pics, the gorilla looks grumpy. I love gorillas/monkeys of all kind. So cute. ;)

Pretty rose pic. :flower3:

Brook looks like she was trying to pinpoint her exact purple balloon in one of the pictures.
She may have wanted hers back, too!

Well she did a good job of waiting patiently and setting hers free! :cutie:

They are interesting to watch - ever on the lookout!

I want to see Earth, but I guess I'll wait until it comes out on video. If I had thought of it early enough, we could have planned for it to be a field trip. I'm going to go hit myself in the head now for not thinking of that!

They are fun to watch. I wonder what they think of us staring at them.

Disney World has so many beautiful flowers all over!

Great AK pics, MeMom. Oh how I wish I were there right now!

Me, too!
I love Animal Kingdom!!!

Well she did a good job of waiting patiently and setting hers free! :cutie:

She did. She's a good girl.
She was very cute telling me about the poor soul who was not as patient.

Those are some great pictures from AK. Looks like you were right on top the animals! Also the flowers are so beautiful there. Wish I could be there right now, but at least I can enjoy your photos. Better than nothing.

I took Kerri out for breakfast this morning before school. She was happy, at least until she got to school and had to start her testing. Day 2, 3 more to go!! Actually it may just be 2 more to go. I'm not sure if she has tests on Friday or not. Anyway, hope it goes well for you guys too!

That's great that you got to have some special mother-daughter time. I love going out to eat with Jill any time anywhere!

We only test through Thursday, and then make-ups are Friday.

Poor Mr. Gorilla looks like he is having a case of the Mondays. ;) He's still super cute!

They are such massive and amazing creatures. I never spend as much time as I would like to just watching them. I always feel like I need to watch for a few minutes and then get out of the way for others, but I really want to just take a seat and watch for a while.

After some reservations about taking Brooklynn to see Earth next weekend after our Disney party, I had resigned myself to seeing it on video when it comes out. (Hopefully, it will be on video.) This evening, Trent surprised me by saying that he was taking me to see it this Saturday! I am so excited to see the movie and to have him go with me. I'm also glad that I'll get to preview it so I will know whether it would be a good idea to take Brooklynn or not.

Day 2 of testing is complete.
Up tomorrow - Science.
I hope the spirit of Professor Ludwig Von Drake will be with them all. :teacher:

Have you ever looked at moviemom.com? She gives reviews of new and old movies and rates them according to what age it is appropriate for. It is a great site for future reference. However, I am looking forward to movieMeMom's review of Disney Earth. Glad that Trent is going with you.

this is my feeble attempt at playing catch-up. i'm so swamped right now with work that i literally don't have the TIME to come on here and read my TRs!!!! so i'm having to do them one by one when i get a few minutes here and there.

notice i'm going backwards because that's how my life has been lately! ;)

On their way to punkin and CharlestonPrincess

i waved as brooklynn's balloon floated over my house!

excellent picture!

One of my teacher friends is villains crazy.

i'd probably like your teacher friend. :stir:

erica and i met this guy at the adventurer's club in september. (R.I.P.)

i have the purple one - love it!

Yay Trent for being a sweetie and taking you to the movie!:yay:

After a week of testing I'm sure you'll enjoy it even more. :headache:

So sweet of Trent to take you to see it! I wanted to take the kids this weekend (despite the possibility of tears from me), but between a sleepover for Chelsea and a friend's baby shower, it may have to be the weekend after this one.

Good luck tomorrow -- how appropriate that the science portion is going to be on Earth Day! Day 3 for us and it is mathematics. It will last forever I am sure.

Aww...that is so sweet of Trent! What a wonderful son you have!

Good luck with the testing...I know you will be glad when that is over! I HATED testing week and I'm glad I don't have to do it anymore!

What a sweet son you have! As my family keeps growing, I am realizing more and more how special those one on one moments are with each of my children. I bet as they get to be adults that becomes even more the case.

So, you are half there on the testing! That has to be a relief for everyone. I found that once we were to that point of testing week, it was pretty much smooth sailing.

Boy that Trent sure is a nice guy! I just checked out pluggedinonline and they give Earth really good reviews. But I will still be waiting for Memom's opinion. We had tcaps last week, and DD is so glad they are over!

I would love to add Earth Day to my list of special days to be in Disney World, but that one is going to be difficult, since it falls in or around testing times. One day, it will fall just right, and I will happily spend Earth Day in Animal Kingdom. You will know when that day comes, because you'll feel my happiness 'vibes' :goodvibes wherever you are.

Happy Earth Day...
and Happy Birthday, Animal Kingdom!

:bounce: HAPPY EARTH DAY! :bounce:

Good luck on Day 3 of testing......:shamrock:

Great pics of all the animals (thank you for not including a "sssss")

Your flower pics are always so beautiful.
I have several hibiscus plants and today they have the most beautiful blooms.

My favorite pic is of the palm tree from up under...super cool shot!

You are a very lucky lady to have such a fantastic son! He is so thoughtful, be sure to let us know how great the movie is.

:thumbsup2 REMEMBER DIS FRIENDS...TAKE CARE OF THIS EARTH CAUSE IT'S THE ONLY ONE WE GOT... WITH A DISNEYWORLD!!! :thumbsup2
