Yep, that would be me.... I am not a WDW kinda guy, though I have been there about 5 or 6x now. I do love Disney, just not WDW, or theme parks in general.... I hate crowds and crazy high prices. Anyway, I just got back about 5 hours ago.

Who went: My wife, my twins ( age 5 girls ) and me.... 44 year old guy.

Where we stayed: The Sheraton Vistana. We really LOVED this place. It was SO convenient. Anything we wanted to do was about 15 minutes away or less, with the exception of Universal Orlando. The rooms were very nice. They were very clean. Big enough - 2BR, 2BA. Nice jacuzzi tub. Decent ammenities on site. Staff was nice. The only things I would say were bad with this place were ( A ) no free high speed internet. It was $10 a DAY in the business center or $50 a week. I love to play on the net to unwind after a long day, but I wasn't paying $10 and having to leave my room. ( B ) TV reception on cable was pretty lousy. Some channels were fine, but many were very snowy - about 50% of them. Also, the only DVD player is in the LR.... The wife and I like to watch DVD's as we fall asleep. Still, I give the Vistana an A-.

The Parks: Well, they weren't crowded, that is for sure..... Animal Kingdom on Saturday... walked right on Dinosauar! Walked right on ANYTHING really. Epcot was the same. We walked right on EVERYTHING.... Soarin', .... you name it. No waits. Really LOVED the Nemo thing with Crash, Dudes! :teeth:

MGM.... another day with ZERO waits for us including ToT! Our final WDW day was MK, on 12/13, Wedensday. There were "some" crowds, but the only thinkgs we really waited on were those dumb Tea Cups and Dumbo.... 15 - 20 minute waits. We stayed for Spectro Magic. It was 'nice", but I expected more, I guess.

Universal Orlando.... we ALL loved this place. I had a BLAST at Feivel's Playland, especially at the "air ball" pit! We stayed there for half an hour. Again, no waits ANYWHERE. Never waited more than 5 minutes. I really liked this place, and my kids didn't want to leave. We skipped the Mummy and MIB because I didn't want to have my kids see me doing rides that they "couldn't" do. Oh well... still had a GREAT TIME. Collectively, our favorite park.

Disney Quest... not a "park" per se, as you know, and HORRIBLY overpriced, IMO, but STILL lots of fun.... until the crowds came rolling in at about 3PM... when it was POURING outside ( Thursday ) It was fun until then. I will say, though, that there were many attractions and video games that were not functioning properly, or even at all, here. My kids absolutely had a BALL here, though. Wife and I, well our fun was in watching our children laugh and play all day! :thumbsup2

The Food: Well, we did the following:

Raglan Road.... just OK, nothing special

Ohana for breakfast.... food was "OK".... but the parade was really awesome for my kids.

Boma.... we all really enjoyed this place!

Sci Fi..... BRUTAL! And we had such high hopes! Bad food. And the projector was busted for most of our meal. Big disappointment.

Beaches and Cream.... what a fun place. Food was pretty decent, and the ice cream was GREAT! Had a No Way Jose that 4 of us did not finish! And we sure did try! :thumbsup2

The why do people do this? : I saw SEVERAL women walking around in knee high boots with fur linings.... it was 75+ degrees! I saw a few women walking around in spiked high heels... really, who, in their right mind does this while walking around a theme park?

Also, and I know that this isn't something they can control, but why do people with HORRIFIC food allergies attempt to eat at Boma? The family who entered Boma right before me was seated next to us. When I went up to get my dinner, the MOM was with someone who was explaining every menu item to her. She was holding up the line, which would be no big deal EXCEPT that pretty much EVERYTHING on the menu was something that someone at their table was allergic to. The family ended up leaving without eating!!!! Seems to me, that if your family is that allergic to so many foods, you don't attempt Boma without checking it out first.

Also, and while I can say "I" enjoyed this :thumbsup2 , why would a very well endowed woman wear just a T Shirt to Feivel's playland? That thing is close to being a water park! She almost made me  :teeth: .

Anyway, for my family, I say the trip was a solid "A". They LOVED it! For me, it was a C+. And that was probably my favorite trip ever to WDW. No lines. Great weather. Still, I am not a theme park kinda guy, and even though the lines were almost nonexistent, I still hate the high prices.

All, in all, a pretty good trip!

Two "Kids say the Darndest Things at the Worst Times" moments: LOL... We were in Beaches & Cream. We had just finished playing Air Hockey with one DD, age 5. Well, as the server comes up, Abby says " Mommy, you need to let Daddy put his puck in your hole!". :lmao: Totally innocent.... totally at the wrong time! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl:

It really has been extra warm this week, not sure why someone would wear boots!

Sorry Sci-Fi was a bust. We have been many times and have never heard of the projector breaking! That was bad luck for you! We only get the burgers too, even at dinner.

Glad you had a good time though. :)

:teeth: Gotta love those kids....cute

The ladies were going for fashion rather than comfort. It makes them feel special :smooth:

I figured that out, but for the life of me, WDW, in 75+ degrees, well, that makes no sense to me! :thumbsup2 I wore sneakers and my feet were tired by the end of the day. :)

I never understand choosing fashion over comfort period!!! Maybe they were trying to find their own prince charming. :smooth:

We were in Downtown Disney the night of the rain - so glad I put my foot down and said "no" to Disney Quest, you have confirmed for me that I was right - we went the next day - for a few hours.

Do you seriously not like WDW? :confused3

One does not have to like WDW to enjoy other things Disney. I also enjoy about 99% of the people here, so.......
