A trip in July.. hmm, what will it be like???? with pics

pooksma - "Beautiful, That's all I can say-beautiful"
thank you.

carrieannie - "Wow! Nice job! Thanks for all the pictures they are perfect!!! I skipped around. But I will save it and go back to enjoy the whole report to get a complete Disney fix before our trip in 6 weeks..I started to watch your photopass DVD but stopped at the riverside sign. because we are staying there, and I want my video to be a surprise!"
Thank you. The photopass movie only has 3 scenes from POR. they should rework them but it is still fun to have. Have a great trip when you go.

HI all,
Ok so I have now decided to go and get a certificate in Paralegal. This will be from September to February or March (depend son evening or weekend courses) and I was going to celebrate by going to the world after I am done. Biff is starting a new job so thinks he cannot get off so my question is would you go by yourself? I look at it as a photography trip then and could photograph everything I see. Any thoughts if this sounds good.

You will get lots of answers that say GO FOR IT, I am sure. The true question is are you totally comfortable going by yourself? If you are, then surely go! I, myself, would not be comfortable but I am so used to having family around me all the time that I would be lonely going to Disney World. But we love your photos, so if you really want to go, GO and take a lot of photos for us please! :thumbsup2

Hi Scott, while I haven't actually set up a trip to go to WDW by myself, I must admit years ago I was at a conference in Anahiem, CA and I skipped a boring day and went to DL by myself. It was WONDERFUL! I did all the things I wanted to do, strolled down the main street, took pics. (Not so many as now that I am a scrapbooker) The only thing that wasn't as much fun was waiting in line for rides with no one to talk to so I didn't ride a whole lot. I think a short trip would be fun.

See I am not sure. biff said he cannot go cause we are going to London and Paris (Euro Disney) in September next year and with his new job he does not want to take off to much time. My cousins whom I was going to take cannot afford it so i may just offer to pay half of their trip and have their mother and my uncle pay the other half. Or I may go myself. It might be fun and peaceful.

I was thinking of what to do while waiting by myself and really I could talk to others or bring my ipod. Would that be bad at Disney? Hopefully the thing with my cousins will work out and then 3 kids get to see it also.

Thanks for the posts.

I was actually thinking about your post as I was sitting outside tonight. I went to DL before the event of fastpass so I think getting a FP for the rides you'd want and listening to your ipod would pass the time nicely. :)

Well actually I am going to convince my cousin for me to take her kids. I would take them out of school for 4 days but I will make sure they get there homework like my mother did when I was a kid. If not "BIFF" said he will go but only as a last resort cause of his new job he is not sure when he can take off. But thanks it may come to that also and I have no problem with my ipod, we are very close. LOL.

Hey Scott
I've been away a few days and what I treat did I recieve with your posts!!!
I scanned through the videos-- what a great memory idea:thumbsup2
I have really enjoyed tour report. As for you going to Disney alone, I would say yes!! You will have the time to explore at your pace and take pictures when you want to. Also, you can check out different spots for your next trip with family and friends. Again, thanks for a great report:goodvibes

Hi Scott.
Great photo videos. I bought the myDVD when I got my computer in hopes of someday making photo dvd's like you did, but haven't taken the time to master it.
I think the idea of a solo trips sounds wonderful. There is the part of the board here for adults and solo travelers where I'm sure you could get a bunch of information, and probably even set up to meet others traveling at the same time. I went to a conference alone in orlando before I had my son, and the extra day I had spent alone at Epcot and just loved it. It was great to do whatever I wanted, and not have to worry about anyone else. I'm going to be planning a trip for me and my son this spring, and am on the fence as to whether I want it to be just the 2 of us, or to invite some other friends.
Have fun planning.

Nice conclusion to your report Scott !!! :thumbsup2 I have enjoyed it immensely!!! You have inspired me to do a movie with pics and music of my own one of these days. I have written down some of your pointers. Anyways about your upcoming trip.....I think it would be neat to go by yourself. As much as you enjoy photography you would have all the time you wanted to walk around and take even more photos. I will keep my fingers crossed that something will work out for BIFF and he will get to go afterall...maybe another quick trip. All I have to say is that you BETTER do a trip report of your next adventure or you will be in trouble with all of us !!!!! :lmao:

Hi Scott!

I thought I commanded you to PM me if you started a trip report... ;)

Anyway, just finished it, and you did a great job. Your pictures are fantastic! The DVDs are SO cool. It looks like you all had a great time! I'm jealous that you are heading back so soon. :goodvibes

Scott - I've never taken a solo trip, so I can't speak from a personal experience. I read allot of good feedback about solo trips on disboards. I think I would try the backstage tours on a solo trip. When I was on the Keys to the Kingdom tour there was a solo traveler, and everyone included her in all the conversations. I think she really enjoyed herself. Good luck with your paralegal classes!

Thank you. You should try making them. I recommend the Adobe Premier 3.0
I will post here my final answer, either way I am going

Thank you. He will be doing Euro Disney next year so I don't want to push him to much. Though today he was telling me what restaurants he did not want to go back too. HMMMM!!!!

:sad2: SO SORRY. I thought I did and I looked back at pm's and I did not. SORRY. Glad you found it. So happy you enjoyed it. Don't be jealous I'm sure you will be there soon enough.

If I do a solo I might try the tours cause I do not think with a group we would do it. Will let you know. I am also going to research solo trips on here. Thanks about the classes they have me nervous, have not been in school in awhile.

Well.

I guess I forgive you.

:rotfl:

You really did a fantastic job; the pictures were to die for. :)

Thanks for sharing, and I really am glad that I found you.

Though it was off DM's report, and I'll never be able to live that down. :rolleyes1

HI,
Ok this is off Disney topic but I figured I would keep this alive as long as i can. Last night DZ, MZ, EZ and myself went to see "The Police" at Giants Stadium. :rockband:

Photo_080507_002.jpg

it was a sold out concert and it rocked.

Photo_080507_001.jpg

The pics were taken with my phone and are bad but u get the idea.

They were great. They sang all the hits and then some I never heard.

I wish my body was like Sting's, he is very skinny. So if you have a chance to see them I highly recommend seeing them they were fantastic.

Now Disney stuff only. I may close this thread this week. I will decide later in the week. Thank you all for reading.

Thank you. I am really enjoying DM's report even though i am "All the Rest". LOL. Oh well i still enjoy it.

Hey, that's a great idea for keeping your thread alive. I might post a few off topics pics myself...perhaps some visual evidence for Ragingstorm as to why I couldn't afford a resort upgrade this time around (you'll have to check out my thread in a little while to understand what I'm talking about...LOL). ;)

Hey! Glad you had a great time at the concert! The Police were here in Baltimore recently too, but I didnt go. Your pics looked REALLY good for them to be from a phone!
