A trip in July.. hmm, what will it be like???? with pics

I have enjoyed your pictures--- I like the idea of taking the pictures of the signs in each land!! That was a hilarious picture from splash mountain:rotfl2:
Keep it coming:cool1:

Thank you, That is the way I intended to go but I think I failed when we met up with the others. Then I think the pics into lands stopped. I love the pic of SM, but I bought 5 photos while I was there. We will get to them in the coming days.
Thanks again for reading.

Fun report--I love lots of pictures it's like a mini-vacation. POR is beautiful isn't it? Aside from the outside doors it really doesn't seem like a moderate resort to me.

Quick side note -- Last night I saw "HAIRSPRAY" all I can say is if you want a fun entertaining movie go and see it. It makes you feel good. Also it is the only movie I have been to where during the credits people remained seated so they can see the dancing and the singing. Just cannot give it enough praise so if you get a chance go see it, I think you will enjoy it.

OK so we left SM. After seeing the pic I bought it and had it delivered to the resort (the best service they had started very convenient).
Then we proceeded over to

071307067.jpg

Well Biff said no way (he was still trying to recover) so we just walked by.
We then decided to find an atm machine. Here r some things we saw on our way.

A view.
071307062.jpg

during our walk we saw.
071307064.jpg

I found a Mickey on a manhole.
071307065.jpg

Then we found this sign. I knew it was closed. I wanted Biff to see it but maybe next time. If there is a next time. So I was fine with it being renovated but I did take a pic left by a ghost host.
071307068.jpg

I liked the way this looked so I took a pic. I believe it was by the entrance to the Skyway. (wish they would bring that back).
071307069.jpg

So now we come upon.
071307073.jpg

Well Biff said let's try it. I have never been on it in all the times I have been to Disney as a kid so I said sure. Then we got closer and he thinks we will fly so then he said no. But we go. On the ride in about 3 minutes. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this. I thought it was really cute.
We then get off the ride as it is a short one and go across the way to
071307073a.jpg

we look in and see this.
071307074.jpg

maybe it is always like this but it made me happy. So we got on and had the ride to ourselves. There was someone 3 boats ahead but not by us so that is why I used a flash sometimes.

And after hearing "It's a Small World after all, it's a world of..." for the
1000th time we got off of the ride. I still love this ride I know a lot of people on here do not but I think it is a classic.

So now I will stop.

Coming up - re-grouping, Winnie ride, toontown, sm again and jungle cruise.

I really loved POR. Even the outside doors did not bother me. The grounds were gorgeous and it just felt right. I think I will try a new place in January or April when I go back and it might be Boardwalk cause that looked great but who knows I may end up at POR again.
Thanks for reading.

I love Small World too! it's my earliest Disney memory! When I was maybe 8 my grandparents took me to WDW and all i remember is making them go on that ride over and over and over again! I still love it, and my poor husband tolerates it for me!

Once again, beautiful photos! Having only been to Disney once last summer, your pictures have me wanting to try those rides next summer:cool1:

Thank you. There are still so many I need to try that I did not have the time to this trip.

I love your report, and your photos are fantastic. Really brings back memories when a couple years ago we had a large family gathering and stayed at POR. We loved it, and your photos show how beautiful it is. Thanks for the report!

Loving the report Scott! Your photos are stunning - you have a great eye for them.

I have always stayed at POR and love it there - it is so beautiful and relaxing. Your photos made me feel like I was "home"!

Keep the trip report coming, its wonderful!

Continuing along....

We walked out of IASW and was very happy. I looked at my cell phone and had 2 missed calls (looks like some people were done with CRT) so I call the other group and see where they r. Ariel's Grotto. Ok we will be right there.
So we go and meet them. No pics of our walk there.

Then we decide to go on.

So after we get off of Winnie, i stopped to get a soda cause it was hot.
Mistake number 1 for the day - Philharmagic which I was dying to see had no line (it was about 11:30 on Friday the 13th and Biff said let's go in there but..

We then proceed over to

That would be nice to have a house like his. Not practical but nice. LOL

Thanks.

I just love your TR! We stayed at POR for the third time Oct 2006 and your pictures brought back fond memories. I can't wait to read the rest of your report!!

Great report. I love the pictures! I have to say I have never heard of anyone starting to chicken out of Peter Pan! It's getting me excited about our trip in August at POR! Glad to see your crowds were managable!

Thank you. You have never met Biff. The last time he was on an amusement ride he was 15 yrs old and it was the Cyclone. He was just nervous cause he could not see what was ahead before we boarded. He loved it.
Ooh your lucky you r going in August. I'm trying to get a trip together for early next year and hopefully I will. Hope you take a lot of pics and do a tr.

I posted in the beginning that you took great pictures, and I'm glad to see that the pictures continued.

I was pleasantly surprised with Peter Pan too, we actually enjoyed that ride.
