A trip full of surprises.. Good News! 6/16

WOW what a great day at MGM!!!! That is great the Matthew went on RNR multiple times and Eric is just a funny little guy isn't he with his little comments. You also had some great pictures from the day especially the first one of the hat at rope drop and no one in front.

I am sad that your your report is coming to an end...I have really enjoyed reading it and you can tell that your family had a great time. Can't wait to read the last day!!!

I have really enjoyed reading your trip report and sad that it is ending. Looks like you got some great picutres and lots of memories. :) :)

I am enjoying your trip report so much! You have beautiful boys!

Thank you so much! Welcome to our report!:cheer2:

I just read your whole trip report in one sitting! I found your link from Lesley's pre trip report! Your boys are too cute! My oldest ds is going to be 6 when we make our Christmas trip! Can I ask a question - what is up with the frozen cokes at night? Do you keep them till the morning and then have coke for the day? Just wondering!

WELCOME!:cheer2: Thanks for joining us! Thanks for your sweet comments about the boys. The frozen cokes are likes slushies or slurpees that taste like coke! They have machines in the food court with 2 different flavors! Hope I answered your question!:thumbsup2

Thanks Figment! We were so proud of Matthew too! Your so sweet calling Eric "funny" sometimes we think of less kind things we want to call his attitude!:rotfl2: Glad your all caught up!:thumbsup2 I am dreading the end of my report!:sad2: but I guess you can't prolong the inevitable!:wizard:

Hey, what are you doing way over on page 2? You can't put it off forever, pal! ;)

Wow, what a fun day. :yay: You really had that planned well to take best advantage of the FP's and see so much! Star Tours is one of my DGS's favorites also, and he and I were at the rope drop one day for a special ride on it, and since we were in the first row of the first ship of the day, we had a visit from a stormtrooper! What fun!! DD and I love Fantasmic, too. Your boys are real troupers to ride so much, hooray!

We really did plan MGM well because I feel like if you just "wing" it you don't get to do that much! You know the whole "commando thing":rotfl2: We really had such a great day that day actually, our best ever at MGM!:thumbsup2 The boys would ride rides forever if they could! So cool that Dreamer got a specail visit from the stromtrooper!;)

I have been reading your trip report right along with your other followers and just wanted to ask you a question about crowds...from what I read they didnt seem to be an issue at all the whole time? Also did you have any run ins at all with LOVE BUGS. We went last September and have no love for these bugs which is why we are going in MAY now? Also how was the weather...how warm? THANKS AND honestly your family is precious! :cutie:

WELCOME!:cheer2: Thanks for reading along! To answer some of your questions... The crowds really were very manageable. I do subscribe to Tour Guide Mike and the Unofficial Guide website though. The advice for which days are best to visit which parks alone are worth the cost to subscribe. Also arriving at rope drop makes a HUGE difference in how much you can see in just a morning (3 hours). I saw that you are going 4/27-5/4/2008 this is a GREAT TIME. Easter is 3/23/08 so by the end of April the crowds will be gone! The weather was perfect when we were there. Mid 80's everyday and low humidity! The whole southeast is in a drought situation right now though so normally there may have been a little rain but typically that time of year is notoriously terrific weatherwise! We saw NO lovebugs while we were there. Friends of ours just got back on Sunday 5/27 and said they were out while they were there. I have never really heard of them being out late April/Early May though. I am sure you will have a great time! :thumbsup2 Thanks for your sweet comments!:wizard:

I am really enjoying your TR. Can't wait to read more. Your little pirates are adorable.

DAY 7 Our last full day!:sad2:

So I knew we weren't going to set a wake up call for today because we weren't 100% sure what we were going to do today.:confused3 Matthew couldn't decide for sure whether or not he wanted to go to DisneyQuest or go back to AK and conquer Expedition Everest! Eric decided he wanted to go to all 4 parks! Yeah right kid!:rotfl2: We woke up around 8:00am got dressed and walked to the food court and used snack credits for breakfast. The kids had been begging us all week to go in the POP arcade so this morning we told them they could go and play!

IMG_1405.jpg

Here is Matthew feeding his hard won tickets into the "ticket eater"

IMG_1404.jpg

This very nice family were walking out and asked us if we wanted there tickets because they weren't going to use them :woohoo: so we said thank you very much and then we put them in the machine and it was 875 points!:scared1: Needless to say the boys were thrilled! By the time we got done in the arcade and brought the prizes back to our room it was 9:45. Matthew decided he wanted to go to DisneyQuest and Eric and I were headed to Epcot (his choice). So we said goodbye and Eric and I went to the bus stop! The bus came within 5 minutes and we were on our way! Here is a picture I took on the way in!

IMG_1422.jpg

This is the only picture I have of Bryan and Matthew from this day as we seperated. This from our disposable camera........

012_12A.jpg

Can you see them so far away under the sign?:rotfl2:

OK so Eric and I went into future world and got fastpasses for Soarin then went over to ride Test Track which is his favorite at Epcot! The standby line was only 20 minutes but really more like 12-15!:thumbsup2 Oh and guess what? WE JUST MISSED THE DREAM TEAM AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Same exact place as Saturday!:headache: The room right before us won Dream Fastpasses!

After test track we went on Figment because our FP time for Soarin was still a 1/2 hour away! Eric gets such a kick out of this ride. After Figment we made our way over to the Land to ride Soarin we still had a few minutes to wait so Eric posed for me.......

IMG_1413.jpg

The lady behind the counter down near Soarin was so sweet. I asked her if Eric could touch the pumpkin and she said he could hold it if he wanted to:thumbsup2 then she said she felt bad because there were a few scratches on it! Disney Cast Members at their finest! After we rode Soarin we just walked around a little bit! I discovered this during our travels.......

IMG_1407.jpg

I never realized this was there and then someone told me that this spot was the exact center of Walt Disney World! Pretty cool! Then we viewed some of the flower and garden festival showcases

IMG_1409.jpg

After a little while Eric said he was hungry so we went to The Electric Umbrella for lunch. The food was alright I wished we went back to the Sunshine Seasons in the Land though the selection there is AWESOME!

After lunch I ask Eric what he wants to do. He said MGM. OK so we make our way out of Epcot and head to the bus stop and he starts to cry hysterically:eek: I thought he hurt himself:confused3 So I ask him what's wrong and he says "I just want to swim" so I said OK no big deal we'll just go back to POP and swim. So he says OK. Well about 10 steps later he starts crying again!:headache: What now Eric? I don't know what I want to do! In my head I'm thinking "Nice call Bryan going with Matthew!"
So being the horrible mother that I am I tell Eric that it was too late to go to the other parks so we had to go back to POP and swim! Phew! He was fine with that answer since his mind was made up for him!

That stinks so bad that you missed the Dream Team AGAIN!!! Man I would have been so bummed. I used to love hopping on the last day and when I went on Spring Break One year one of my friends and I actually accomplished it!!! It was a lot of fun but can be very tiring. Can't wait to see what happens at the pool!

Pirate Tutorial! I wanna do this! LOL! I know its for kids not 30 something year old married women!

Are they still doing this? How long is it going on for?

Great trip report!! Your boys are so cute!:goodvibes

Smart to split up and let each boy do their favs! :thumbsup2 You know sometimes SMART moms have to step in and make decisions in their kids' best interests. Glad you had a good day in Epcot. :cutie:

Great reports and your photo's are beautiful :goodvibes , we leave tomorrow for 14day's      , sooooo excited

:lmao: Okay, my first thought was, "HEY! Did dddisrunner steal that pumpkin from The Land?" ;)

Bummer you missed the Dream Team again. Splitting up sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to reading about Poop at the Pop.

Hope everyone is feeling better at your house! My mom was in the hospital for the entire weekend--bleeding ulcer this time. She's home and doing better now but so much for my big Memorial Day plans. :rotfl:

Day 7 continued ... Poop at the POP

Eric and I make our way back to the POP and change into our bathing suits. We head to the food court and fill our mugs with frozen cokes and head back to the 50's pool!:thumbsup2

IMG_1418.jpg

After about five minutes the lifeguard starts blowing her whistle and tells everyone to get out of the pool! Well I look to my left and low and behold there is poop floating in the pool! So I tell Eric what happened and he starts crying:sad2: So we decide to go over to the Hippy Dippy pool over in the 60's section. We swim for about 15 minutes and the lifeguard blows his whistle and yells "Everyone out of the pool!":scared1:  So I find out someone pooped in that pool too! COME ON PEOPLE! I can't understand why the heck these kids can't keep there poop in their swim diapers!:confused3 I am so angry at this point that Eric and I go to the food court for some ice cream! After we finish our ice cream he says he wants to go back to Epcot and go to World Showcase so he can do the Kidcot stops! So we go back upstairs and change and freshen up and head back to Epcot. By now it is 3:00 and we haven't heard from Bryan or Matthew all day.:confused3 When Eric and I arrive at Epcot I started taking some pictures at the entrance to World Showcase.....

IMG_1428.jpg

IMG_1429.jpg

Aren't the topiaries beautiful!:hippie:

Then we headed into World Showcase, first stop Mexico and the new ride starring the Three Caballeros...

IMG_1430.jpg

continued in the next post................

OK the new ride was cute but not that different. The 3 caballeros are just stuck into the scenes throughout!

IMG_1431.jpg

Then we continued around and found this little pig near the China pavilion! It covered completely with corn!

IMG_1432.jpg

We walked into China and found Mulan and Mushu! Eric and Matthew had never seen Mulan before but at MGM Mushu is the main character in one of the attractions ( I forget which one!) They thought he was funny! So Eric was excited to see him!

IMG_1433.jpg

On to Germany where Eric and I shared a bavarian pretzel and soda and I rested my knee which was still hurting! Eric was making good progress on his Kidcot mask!

IMG_1434.jpg

Then we went to Italy. The flowers they had around the pillars were just beautiful! Thankfully my allergies didn't act up at all!

IMG_1435.jpg

Then it was on to the American Adventure! Along the way we found this Mama and her babies! Cute or what!

IMG_1438.jpg

Then we walked to Japan and really browsed in the shops here. I was looking for some unique items to bring back for Eric's preschool teachers. They were studying different countries and cultures so I thought I could find something but everything was so expensive except the Hello Kitty stuff!:rotfl: Eric enjoyed the toy store and all the toy tin robots!

IMG_1439.jpg

The women that helped Eric with his mask was so sweet, we were the only ones in there and she kept asking Eric questions and saying he was cute and such so finally Eric says " Uh, mommy is she being nice to me :confused3 so I say yes Eric very nice. He then turns to her and says " Thanks for being nice but I don't know what your saying BYE!":rotfl2: I'm sure she had no clue what he was saying either!

After Japan we made our way to Morocco and then France. I had been begging Eric the whole trip to please take his picture with a princesss and he kept saying NO so I thought today without Matthew around maybe I could sucker him into it! In our travels we found Princess Aurora with no line!

IMG_1441.jpg

Can you see the embarrasment all over his face! He even went so far as to hug her...

IMG_1442.jpg

She asked for a kiss but Eric said "No thank you!":lmao: At least he was polite! After that we went pack to the front of the pavilion and Eric had to show how masculine he really is.......

IMG_1443.jpg

Then it was on to the UK...

IMG_1444.jpg

IMG_1445.jpg

IMG_1446.jpg

IMG_1447.jpg

Just as we were headed to Canada it was 5:20 and Bryan finally called to ask us where we were and I said Epcot and he said us to, where in Epcot are you so I said on our way to Canada and he says oh I see you! They knew we had ADR's at Chefs De France so they came through the Gateway! Great timing right! So after we meet up we head to Canada!

IMG_1448.jpg

Hooray! Eric finished his Kidcot mask!

IMG_1450.jpg

Then it was back to France for dinner!

IMG_1455.jpg

The boys being silly while we are waiting to be seated!

IMG_1456.jpg

The food was terrific and so was the service! Here are Matthew and Bryan! This was our view inside the restaurant!

IMG_1453.jpg

It seemed as though every waiter in our section was named Sebastian! We loved this meal and the atmosphere! After dinner we headed to the front of the park and took this last silly picture....

IMG_1459.jpg

Then it was back to POP! Bryan and Matthew LOVED DisneyQuest but Bryan said it isn't that big and couldn't imagine being there on a rainy day or during peak season! So we head to our room to pack up and get the kids to bed! Our Magical Express pick up time is 7:15! Our angels fell asleep quickly after there showers!
