I have always wanted a vintage stove. Actually, I want the new replicas. The one I found was about $5,000.00, DH said "no":confused3 .

Wow, what a great, if somewhat expensive, site. My grandmother had a wood stove that had been converted to gas. The 4 burners could be covered with a ceramic/metal ? type cover The was attached to the stove.. I remember the top was greenish and that stove always fascinated me. She also refused to get rid of the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. It was the kind that had the box up above like the ones they have at POFQ.

Her house still had the gas jets in the wall although they were not functional. Oh, and coal bins in the cellar.

I wish I had been older when my father sold her house. While I did keep some of the wonderful antiques she had, many of them just got thrown away. :(
