A trip August 14-23 and again Sept 30-Oct 8

Hi everyone,

Here's what happened - Me (31), DH (33) DS (12) were planning a trip to the World for the end of Sept. The free dining plan clinched it. We convinced my father his wife and their two boys 9 and 11 (my much younger brothers) to come with. This will be their first trip and I'm so excited to show them around. This will be our 6th trip. Our first was in 2002. So I booked for both familes and made all the dining ressies planned out our days etc.

Well, as soon as my sister Lisa finds out she says she wants to go. Only problem she can't do it in sept. So she wants to plan one for August. So I talk to DH and he says no problem. I have the summers off so it's not a problem as far as work is concerned. My only concern was how to get there (just the two of us). I don't fly and the drive is 22 hours and my sister can't drive a stick shift. I don't think I could do the whole drive and I really don't want to. So after reading this site I found out about the autotrain. It's only 8 hours away. So after much figuring we decided to go for it. So now we will drive to VA and take the train the rest of the way. In addition my cousin Tracey 32 is also planning to go. She isn't 100% sure but we hope she can do it.

Our trip in August will be an all girls trip and we will be able to go to Pleasure Island. I have never done PI so I'm excited to try it out.

Anyway that is the breakdown of my two countdowns to Disney!!!!!!!

Hello.

I am going down the same time in August. We are staying at the Movies and we will be checking in on 8/13-8/17.

I noticed that you are driving and its a 22hr drive. We are too and we are approx 21 hour drive. We are coming from CT. We're going to stop in NC for the night. HOpefully my 4 year old will be able to endure that long trip in the car.

We are soo excited about it. We just went to WDW in Jan of this year and when I saw the dining packages, I couldnt resist. However, this time my husband will not be coming he is golfing in TX for the week so Im treating my mom & sister with my 2 children.

Anyhow, have a great trip.....we know we will!

I'm going August 14th to August 17th, 3 nights at Pop with my sister and nephew (17). She is a single Mom, and would not be able to go if I didn't take them. DN celebrates his 18th birthday the week after we come back.

I have another week planned at OKW in a Grand Villa with my Disneyana Collectors group. We have a grand gathering going for Oct 28th to Nov 4th. We are doing MNSSHP Oct 30th.
