I encourage you to watch this moving tribute. Someone put together a flash presentation with music from Ricky Skaggs with an overlay of a little girl talking to her Dad who is a soldier. This is very touching and really puts things into perspective.

Hearing the daily news reports about our soldiers in Iraq is really disturbing. Whether we agree if they should be there or not, as a country we should still support them to the fullest.

Thank you to all our brave soldiers (past and present) and families, who sacrifice so much that we may keep America safe and remain free. Our daily thoughts and prayers are with you that God will hold you in the palm of his hand. Happy Memorial Day and God Bless America!

WOW thank you for that. My husband leaves in the morning and today at church we had a special prayer of protection for him so this was a wonderful, timely tribute to watch. My little girl and her daddy are sitting here reading books together for the last time tonight for over a year. They stopped what they were doing and watched this too, she turned to her daddy and said I love you too daddy your my hero. I'll stop crying in a minute.

I am so glad you enjoyed the clip. Please know that you, your DH and family will be in my prayers. I feel your pain and know it will be a long year for you. You are blessed to have your daughter, church, family, Dis friends, but mainly your faith to lean on. There will be many ups and downs to take one day at a time. It will help if we try to think positive, keep the faith and stay strong.

If you ask anyone of these soldiers, they will tell you they consider it an honor to serve our country and please do not worry about them. I am right there with you honey, as our soldier is also slated to go. So now it is time for me to practice what I preach and I am not going to pretend it will be easy.

That was very nice! I remember all when my DH was over seas. I remember the nights of the phone calls, prayers and when our girls would tell their daddy the same. That really means alot! I'm proud to have my dh home right now. My prayers still go out to all the other military family's.
