A ton of questions

Same here, used Irish site because it was cheaper after currency exchange.

My DH was trying to use the UK site but when you get closer to the end, it asked for passport information. Doesn't that require me to tell them I hold a US passport?
What do you do there?

passport information? I didn't have to enter that. There was names, address, phone, email and card's information to be filled in, nothing about my passport.

Well, my DH was telling me about it and now that I see what it actually said, it's not that big a deal. It just wanted to verify that the names were the same as on the passport/ID.

We thought of using our friend's address in the UK where we'll be staying before and after DLP. But it sounds like it doesn't even matter as long as we leave the country the same? Very cool! We might stay at HNY instead of Sequoia with the $ we're saving!!!

yes, you just leave the country entered and put your home address. This small detail saves lots of money

I always check between the UK and Irish sites before I book. Its well worth looking around, those saved pennies always end up being spend on extra cuddley toys when we get there :thumbsup2

I looked also in French, German, US .... :goodvibes

looks like we might be wearing a bit of green on this next trip! Irish site has us saving even more!!!

hi there, quick reply with regards to the hotels. I have never stayed at SL but went there for a meal in 2009. It was lovely :-) It seems really cosy and homely.

We stayed at NPB in 2009 and I LOVED IT. We were lucky to have a room close to the elevator so I didn't find the size of the hotel a problem at all. I have seen on here a few posts where people have e-mailed the hotel a week or two before requesting an easy to access room. We are going back in September this year and I thought about trying the SL for a change and because of the refurbs. The swimming pools at NPB are by far the best of all the hotels in the resort.

Have you considered Cheynne? It's a really nice hotel as well :-)

I booked via Irish site, put my real address in, but left country as Ireland. No problems.

I find it interesting that they won't mail you luggage tags, tickets, vouchers or a simple letter of confirmation like they do for the parks here in the US. That kind of "kills the magic" when you don't get a Disney packet in the mail.

I checked both the French and the Spanish sites (since I speak both of those languages myself) and both were also cheap, if not cheaper than the UK and US sites. Has anyone booked through either/or ? If so, is the process the same where they won't mail anything to you, but rather send all your info via email?

I hope this won't cause you any problems when you check in, and find that you're neither Irish nor Brittish, or whatever other nationality? I'm trying to book a trip myself at the lowest cost possible so any help is gladly appreciated.:wizard:

It keeps costs down and afaik I don't think you get the whole package send to you by mail when you live outside of the US and book for WDW or DL

Same process which ever European site you book on, nothing will get sent to a postal addresse it's all email. People on here have bought from the French site no pbs

They don't care where you are from in the end really. It's mostly requested for statistiques. The important things they look out for is for example the age of children say concerning the under 12's go free offers. That would be fraud.

But as to your nationality...France isn't like Italy where they need to copy your passeport at check in and as some many Europeans don't live in their country of birth and move around a lot that it's not an issue.

You can reserve without any worries :)

That's excellent news. When the time comes to making our reservations I'll just do that. Thank you so much. :thumbsup2
