I was on the SW website today and discovered that they offer Disney rooms...lots of them in fact for October! They had "special" rates also. I'm assuming you can only book these if you are flying SW but I'm not sure...I didn't have time to read the particulars.

Hope this helps someone out :)

I just checked out the Southwest website. You CAN book room only and special rates are available--it seemed to me like maybe even more availablity than from CRO. It is a very easy site to use and compare all Disney & other hotels available and all their rates ON THE SAME PAGE. Disney could take a lesson on consumer friendly sites from this one. I found all the available value, mod & deluxe hotels for my dates incl. all the spec. rates available in just seconds.

The cancellation policy appears to be the same as Disney. The only difference I could see was that you need to make a cc deposit to complete the booking.

Now, do I spend $35 more a night for AKL or WL than the moderate I have booked? Oh, the decisions!

Could you please tell me how to find this info, I have been to the website and have not found anything about Disney hotels. Perhaps I am not going to the right website...............thanks.

I have tried to get a room for our upcoming stay but keep getting and error that the system can't communicate with the hotel. I gues that means they don't have rooms either. I'll keep trying though.

The Southwest site appears to work like the Hotels.com site. It shows availability at the BAT Rates, but when you go to complete the reservation, you get an error (sw site = cannot communicate with hotel, hotels.com site = no rooms available)

Wel, it let me go all the way thru to a reservation earlier this morning (6am). I'm not sure what happened? I'm sorry gang, I just thought it looked like there were lots of rooms :(

I hope I haven't misled anyone....

best of luck to all..

I also get the same error. It doesn't happen until it tries to charge the deposit to your credit card.

They have WL woods view for time I'm going. Never stayed at WL. As of now I'm booked AAA rate Courtyard view. Is Courtyard view work $250 more than woods view? I'm little leary booking online I never have before. Can't request anything. For one I'd prefer 2 queens over queen & bunk online can't request.

Do you mean $250 total? I can't say because I've never been there yet, but, well, $250 is about 3 character meals for 4 people. You don't have to book online. Call 800 828 0228 and ask for the BAT or BAS discount codes.

We stayed in a courtyard view, in mid December of 2002. While the courtyard view was nice, we were on the 5th floor and we could still hear some of the noise from the pool. It really was not that bad, but if you are looking for a bit more piece and quiet, I would stick with the woodsview.
If I stayed at the WL again, which I would love to do, I would go for a woodsview

Me too... tried to finally book it w/ the credit card and then the error comes up.

Thanks yes $250 total. I know standard views can be noisy. I tried calling Disney again no rooms avaiil. at all for my time period. Since I don't want to hear lots of noise think I'll stick with what I have. I want to make requests. I know $250 alot of money since we'll be doing 3 big meals & it's Christmas time. Since when did Disney start selling blocks of rooms to .com companies. This is where they all went. Not fair.

I just called to check this out. The number was 1-800-423-5683. They had the WL , Woods View for Dec.1-4. It was the regular Disney rate plus a service charge around $75.00. You also have to book at least 3 nights.

Hurry, if you have your heart set on WL that weekend.
