Even when

Even when the day is cold and gray, life can be filled with warmth and joy. Even when trouble weighs heavily on the world, there are very real opportunities to move positively forward.
Even in the middle of winter, there is the ever-present promise of spring. Even when all seems to be lost, there are still many ways to turn the situation around or to move on through it anyway.

Even when there appears to be no hope, someone will have the audacity to be hopeful anyway. And more times than not, that person will be right.

The greatest opportunities for positive change very often arise from the most difficult situations. The most enduring strengths are always forged against the most stubborn challenges.

There are those who give up at the first hint of trouble, and then there are those who never give up no matter what. Those who never give up are the ones who, thankfully, always get us through.

Fabric of your life

Where has the time gone? It has not gone but has been going, and continues to go into making you who you are. The moments and hours, months and years seem to pass by at an ever-quickening pace. But they are filling you up, not passing you by.
For you are busy becoming who you will become, and expressing who you are. As time moves past it is never lost, but woven forever into the fabric of your life.

It is never too early and it is never too late to fully live the moment that is here right now. And the more you make of it, the more valuable it will always be to you.

The clock just keeps on ticking, and what it measures is not what you are losing but what you are continuing to gain. You always have the opportunity to make this moment, this day, this year even better than the last, better in fact than ever before.

Time is yours in which to live, to grow, to love and to experience. The more of it you've known, the richer you become.

Awareness

The first step to transcending a particular weakness in your life is to become more aware of it. As your familiarity with the weakness grows, your options for getting beyond it will increase as well.
The more accurate the diagnosis, the more successfully a doctor can treat the disease. The better you understand the problem, the more resources you'll find to solve it.

Anyone who honestly criticizes you is doing you a favor, even if that's not what was intended. Be thankful for the criticism, because it will help you see where your efforts can be most effective.

Being positive does not mean ignoring the negative or denying your limitations. Living positively very often involves finding a way to get beyond those limitations that most fervently hold you back.

For when you eliminate the weaknesses, your strengths can truly run free. Become aware of your weaknesses, and in so doing you'll find powerful new ways to be strong.

FOOTPRINTS

One night I dreamed I was walking
Along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed that
During the low periods of my life when I was

Suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,

So I said to the Lord, "You promised me,
Lord, that if I followed You,
You would walk with me always.

But I noticed that during the most trying periods
Of my life there have only been
One set of prints in the sand.

Why, When I have needed You most,
You have not been there for me?"

I hope you all don't mind a Bible verse. I've been so into Paul's letter to the Philippians. Its so full of love and faith and shows Paul's extraordinary insight as to how we should live our lives---thinking of others before ourselves and follwing the Great Commandment.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:3-5

We should be loving others as we love ourselves. What a place the world would be if each of us could strive to that! Believe me, I fail in this miserably all the time, but oh to be striving!

I am always interested to read anything that anyone finds inpirational, no matter what the source.

I think many of people were hesitant to post Biblical verses previously because we all knew that EROS would jump on his bandwagon, and who wanted to listen to that baloney ad nauseum. Now that THAT problem is gone , please everyone, post whatever inspires you!!!!!
