A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Feeling a bit under the weather today, so I stayed home.
I'm having a deja vu about a few months ago when I found the DIS and you. I really have enjoyed getting to know everyone. You have given me so much enjoyment.

What a discount being offered for travel upto June 27. Could it be, I may get my wish for a May trip...Could I be so lucky....I will be waiting patiently until 5pm. Thanks Charleston Princess for the heads up. You may have turned this day around for me. :cloud9:

Another handbag pic, I feel you put them up for me, you are quite the temptress. Do you think you can take pics of more bags on the next trip? I would be soo gratefull. I especially want to see if they have Christmas ones. I tried to look on Ebay but no luck.

MeMom if you get the chance can you take a pic of the new T Rex. It's all Lexi is talking about. She found out theres a Dino Build a Bear shop inside and she is already trying to decide which dino to get. ;)

The clock is ticking....only a few more weeks and you will be at our favorite place!!! :woohoo:

CBR looks very neat! Was there a lot of variety at the food court?

I was about a week behind here, but don't think I missed this CP! :sad2: :rotfl: You and your resort switching! ;)

IMG_2483.jpg

I think this is one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen!! Great shot MeMom!

Oh, yeah, I must mention that it is now officially November, so we can start saying, "We're going to Disney World this month!"

YEAAAAAAAAA! :woohoo: :dance3:

I love this! Since I've only been to WDW once I don't recall a lot of details, but I DO remember the Land and just how cool I thought it was in there.

Although this brings out my claustrophobia, (I can't stand it that the pumpkin is enclosed, and I take deep breaths on its behalf)
I just want to take a hammer and crack the case open to free the little guy.

:rotfl:

I do not have an aversion to birds, but this one looks really creepy with that white eye! I'm sure it was just the angle/flash, but still...

Also, keep your eyes peeled today -- Disney is reportedly going to release a HUGE discount at 5:00pm for travel dates through June 27 -- just in case, you REALLY wanted to make that spring break trip...:rolleyes1

OH MAN! 7 days for the price of 4?! I feel another trip coming on...

Good morning Memom;

I love the Universe of Energy. I know it's kinda corny, but I still love doing that ride. I mean I've got to see some dinosaurs somewhere. I definitely cannot do the dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom. It's too rough from what I hear and my back would never take it.

Isn't MouseGears such a neat store? I usually visit several times while I'm there. Never buy anything, but sure do look a lot.

My sister and brother-in-law are on their way home from Disney right now. They surprised their grandkids last week with a trip. DSis has been planning it for months and never let it slip. When the kids found out they were so excited. I'm sure they've had a great time. I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Have a great day MeMom.

Good almost afternoon, TCKK!

Universe of Energy doesn't thrill me so much any more, but it's still nice to do it every once in a while. I do fine on Dinosaur, but I understand the back thing, because Rock 'n Rollercoaster is the one that gives me fits. I can't do that one any longer.

Let us know what your sister says about their trip. What a great surprise!

I would take a forest over a cute fence like that anyday...someday maybe.

I really enjoyed my dinner at LeCellier. I agree with you though MeMom, the soup was good but not amazing. I got the mushroom filet and the risotto was not great (wish I had subbed for the potatoes) but the filet was the best I have EVER had!! The "moose" was very cute and delicious! My boys especially liked it.

Punkin, I wish I had a rockin cook at my house! I grew up with a mom who was a great cook. Both of my brothers are good cooks but it must have missed me. I'm not a bad cook, I just don't enjoy doing it. DH likes it less than me (we eat out WAY too much because of it)

I am not a shopper like you but I  mousegears. I think I could be content just doing 1 big trip here.

I wanted to order steak, too, but I knew I wouldn't have eaten my money's worth. I am going back one day, and I will arrange to be good and hungry. Then I'll get the steak and the creme brulee!

It's okay that you are not a shopper. I do enough shopping to cover for several others.

MeMom, I know I have said it before, but your pictures are always so gorgeous that I feel like I am there (almost)!

Also, keep your eyes peeled today -- Disney is reportedly going to release a HUGE discount at 5:00pm for travel dates through June 27 -- just in case, you REALLY wanted to make that spring break trip...:rolleyes1

I'll check in at 5 and see what's going on. I can't stay seven days if I take Brooklynn, though. I wouldn't want her away from her mommy that long. Our trip will be a short one - just Wed. to Sunday. I'd like to go for longer, but I really want to take Brooklynn, too, and I can't have it both ways.

There's a big huge space here, and it won't delete for nuthin', no matter what I try, so I'm just gonna write in it and see what happens.

OH, I should NOT have read this!! We got our new van this week and my first thought was it is so nice we really should consider a spring break trip. After being there in June, I said I wouldn't go back during the busy season. Agh, temptation! :scared:

If it is what they are saying -- seven nights for the price of four, then it would almost be a crime not to do it. ;)

Just call me Enabler. :lmao:

Oh you awful, wonderful enabler!!! Hmm, if I took DS out of school on Thursday, we would be there Sat around noon. Leave the next Sat around noon and be home Mon night. I would only have to miss 1 day of work for 8 days of my happy place :cool1: This may just have to require some serious consideration

I'm going to stay out of any trip planning conversations before I get into serious trouble. If I go at Thanksgiving and in March and then on our summer trip and don't go broke, I'll be doing well. And I've already told Jill I'd like to do an October trip and a December trip next year - girls only again. Both would be 4-5 days - not long, but long enough to get a fix to hold us through the winter.

I'll admit to being an enabler, because if I get a wiff of someone mentioning a trip, I'm right there with wanting them to be able to do it.

Great Pictures!!! Where are you guys staying? I thought you were at POP again.

All-Star Music this time. We really liked it last Christmas, so we're going there again. We'll be visiting Pop, though. Gotta see our tree in the lobby and those crazy retro silver ones in the food court windows. I love Pop!

:rotfl: Don't worry, I don't know aaaaanything about that. :rolleyes1 Nope, nothing.

I forgot to say in my previous post how cool it is that you got to catch just a little bit of Off Kilter. We saw them a few years ago, and catching a show is another thing I'll have to add to my growing to-do list (I'm about to start moving things from my "wish list" to my "to-do list" ;) )

I can't remember if I've ever been on Universe of Energy. I wrote down some things that I wanted to do or see that I haven't done before, like Philhar-Magic and Country Bears Jamboree. My mother has been lurking on my PTR and informed that we DID see Philhar-Magic, and we saw Country Bears Jamboree many years ago. So, chances are, if I went on Universe of Energy, I just don't remember it. I'll have to consult with my mom on that one!

Your to-do list is growing. Even if you don't think you'd like something, I'd give everything a try once, just so you can sat you've experienced it all.

I'm even glad we did Stitch...once. Never again, but I'm glad we did it just so we know what people are talking about when they talk about how pointless it is.

Thanks for those awesome Le Cellier pics! It will be moms first time, so I can't wait to show her your pics when she gets home!

I hope your mom likes what she sees. When is their cruise? February?

MeMom!!! You always, always, ALWAYS, have the best pictures!!!!!!

I love the Le Cellier pics! We have always wanted to eat there!

You are so sweet. I'm planning to do a lot of video this time, so I'll probably have a lot less pictures.

Le Cellier was nice, but I want to go again and have a steak. I think I'll like it more than the sandwich I didn't hardly eat.

Feeling a bit under the weather today, so I stayed home.

Sorry you're feeling down. I hope you'll feel better soon.

I'll try to slip into T-Rex when we go downtown. I saw it being constructed this summer. I imagine it will be a lot like Rainforest Cafe, don't you? I'll try to get some good pictures at Build-a-Dino, too.

Handbag pictures? Yep, I can do thoseQ

I was about a week behind here, but don't think I missed this CP! :sad2: :rotfl: You and your resort switching! ;)

Are you supposed to be finishing your packing or something?

I'm at school, so I can't see the pictures you referred to, I'll have to wait until I get home to see what you liked.

The birds don't bother me a bit, but when we were eating lunch at Grand Floridian one day, I will say there were more than the normal amount, and I imagine a non-bird lover would have felt uncomfortable.

Sooo, I am not exactly sure what is going on with the big space that won't delete no matter what I try. I was talking to another teacher, and when I came back to it, it looked like this, so I guess I hit a wrong button or something. Forgive the big empty space. I'll try not not to let other teachers interrupt my Dising again. :)

If it is what they are saying -- seven nights for the price of four, then it would almost be a crime not to do it. ;)

Just call me Enabler. :lmao:

There is also talk that if you book a trip for dates up to the end of March you will get a $200 gift card...Really hoping that all this is true :dance3:

All the girls are so cute! Thanks so much for sharing those pictures. It must have been a lot of fun at your house! Brooklynn would have joined right in there with them with all of that dressing up.

The 'disguise' on the little girl on the hayride is cute.

The scary eye picture - WHOA! I guess she thought that was quite funny!

I guess you have about thirty pounds of candy at your house right now, don't you????

Brooklynn woke up to breakfast in bed.

IMG_2483.jpg

It was just a few inches away from being breakfast in head!

[/COLOR]
We would love :lovestruc Brooklynn to join us for dress up days. That's one of the reasons we do Halloweeen, just to add to our dress up box. Its too full now and I can't close the lid! Oh and YES, we have way too much candy. I will give them a week and suddenly it will disappear. :rolleyes1
That pic is just too funny....love the hair too! :cloud9:

twob4him - My DD8 loved your costumes. She wants to marry Troy. She doesn't get that he is like 23yrs old? :rotfl:
Thanks! My friends son was Troy but he was too shy to stand next to my DD for a pic... Did you get a chance to see the new HSM 3? Its really good!!!

Love Brooklynn's "bedhead." Hannah's hair looks like that most mornings too!

We had a fabulous time at trunk and treat last night! Here are pictures of "HannahBelle" and "YodaOwen." There are lots more pictures on the blog!

Awwwwwww sooooo cute! Love the costumes!!! :wizard:

Just checking in to tell a cute Brooklynn story.

I'm on the phone with Jill right now, and they're in the car heading to school. Jill says Brooklynn is in the back seat holding Ariel and Boo. They are having a nice conversation. It goes something like this:

Boo to Ariel: I like your ears.
Ariel to Boo: I like your eyes.

And now they're singing Castle Party, because that is the CD she is currently obsessed with. She knows every word to every song, and she knows which song is next going by the musical transitions from song to song.

I'm going to keep her Friday and Saturday so Jill and John can go to a party on Friday and then do some Christmas shopping on Saturday.

I will be purchasing a couple of new CDs to take to her. :)
She is sooo smart! I couldn't understand one thing my kids said when they were little especially my Brooklyn. :headache: I am sure I missed cute stuff like this....I hope Jill got everything accomplished that she wanted!!!!!I think it is so nice that you are able to enjoy your grandchildren. For some reason my mom wasn't so interested. :confused3 I am really looking forward to it myself (in 15 years from now!) Just to hold a little baby again and smell them up.....they are so yummy. :cutie:

oh, yes. i've been a blonde, brunette, red head....even purple when i was younger! my hair has seen every color under the sun. luckily i have thick, strong hair or i would've for sure fried it by now at least a dozen times!
You are sooo pretty Dawn...and look great in every color! :yay:

I have never eaten at LeCellier, Oh gasp!

Congrats on the election, it was all the talk today in our country too. ;)
I have ADR's there for our Feb trip! I can't wait to try it out.....note to self...the meal is huge...save room for that cute dessert!!

And, is it too late to move to Canada????? :rolleyes1 *ahem*

I have just settled on NOT getting an annual pass for 2009 and then you had to bring this up :goodvibes .....now if flights would come down in price it might work.....:headache:

********************************************************
Finally, here are my latest outfits for a Disser's three kiddos....(obviously they love Buzz!)

IMGP7091.jpg

I love this bag! It would make a great school bag! Just a little Disney reminder to get me though the day!

I need it after the day I had!!! One of my kiddos at school fell and busted open his head! Luckily he is ok, but it was still scary and not something I ever want to go though again!

twob4him:
Thanks for the compliments on my kiddos!!! I love the outfits you made! You are very talented! I wish I could sew!

The new promo doesn't make sense for me either, it will still be cheaper to go in late August w/free dinning. Dmom reminded me about the money needed for the roof $$$$. I told her we can just buy a big tarp. :rotfl: She told me I could do what I wanted but she votes for August. So I am back to my original plans. A great deal for those who already planned to go before June. I could use the $200 gift card for more WDW shopping.

Oh bless you MeMom! You always have the best shopping photos! I should show your pics to my boss so she could see that I need a bigger paycheck! And some more time off! ;) I love those mugs from Mousegears...I could keep one at work, one at home.....and the bag I could use to take it to work....hehehe. Oh I can't wait to shop in the World! Heaven knows I love to shop (I did it for 5 hours today!), but shopping at Disney = Nirvana! :)

I'm another Canadian without a fence...but if I did have one, I would want mickey heads on it instead of maple leaves. We have a giant maple in the front, that should be good enough. :)

Your to-do list is growing. Even if you don't think you'd like something, I'd give everything a try once, just so you can sat you've experienced it all.

I'm even glad we did Stitch...once. Never again, but I'm glad we did it just so we know what people are talking about when they talk about how pointless it is.

Yeah, by the time February rolls around it will probably be pretty long. I keep on wanting to add mostly food things on there. :rotfl: I can justify it since we do so much walking there!

I, too, would like to try everything at least once. I believe that Stitch took over the Alien Encounter attraction. My mother was very sad when that went away, and I was bummed that I never tried it, so, yeah, trying everything at least once is good!

I'm also going to try to do morning EMH at least once. MK has it on our first full day, and I'm definitely going to attempt it. AK has evening EMH on our arrival day, and we may or may not do that. Even if no one else wants to go with me early in the morning, I'd still love to go alone and just experience it, and Pop, first thing in the morning. :cloud9: (Your pictures inspired me a great deal)

ETA: twob4him: I LOVE the outfits! You are super talented. My dad's mother and a couple of his sisters make American Girl doll outfits, and I really envy people who can do stuff like that. :goodvibes

I believe we have finally arrived at the Fourth of July now.

We knew we were crazy to go during one the very most crowded weeks of the year, but we wanted to do it anyway. We want to say we've spent at least one of every holiday at Disney World. It was really cool to be there for the celebration, and it was really no more crowded than usual at the times we were there. We're used to going against the flow of traffic when in Disney, so it worked out just fine for us.

At this point, Jill and John went to ride Space Mountain, and Brooklynn and I went to ride PanPan.

I cannot, to save my life, get good pictures on PanPan. I took some, but they're all pretty much horrible, so I passed on loading those.

However, when we got off PanPan, we were happily met by the Dream Team. We received Dream Fastpasses, which made Hollywood Studios now the only park for which we have not gotten Dream Fastpasses.

As we were leaving the Dream Team, Jill called and told us to hurry over to where she was, becauseWinnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, and Darby were there.

Jill was happy to hear that we had met the Dream Team once again.

Jill and John wanted to ride this.

They were also anxious to see if Brooklynn was big enough to ride it for the first time, because they quite enjoy this ride, which lasts about as long as it takes to recite the alphabet.

Awww, Hollie loves Darby! She was just asking us the other day if Darby would be there when we go in February!!!!

O.K. people. What exactly is the deal Disney is offering?? :confused3 I saw a pp where someone said that Disney was releasing a deal at 5 p.m. today, but I haven't seen what it is. Please Help me. We are traveling in June and wonder if the "deal" could apply to us.
Great update memom. I want to be Brooklyn. I wish I could take as many trips to Disney as she does.

i needed a break before i started typing closing arguments in the hearing i'm working on and i come check out the disboards to find this nice little update!

wow....moving right along, aren't we?

i love this picture!!!! i love that donald is in it too, up ahead. he's so fun to walk behind and watch his little tail waddle. i personally think he's WAY cuter than the real ducks. and less scary.

Memom, Brooklyn is too cute all decked out for the Fourth of July. I love, love, love the picture of her with Pluto -- it looks like it should be part of a Disney World commercial!

It runs from January 4 until June 27 -- stay four nights, get three nights free -- there is a similar deal on the tickets (seven day ticket for the price of a four day ticket -- which is really not a deal). The room discount is awesome. We were originally booked for the Caribbean Beach Resort (sometimes Wilderness Lodge depending on my mood). Now, we are booked at the Beach Club for the same price as Caribbean preferred room rack rate. :thumbsup2

A sort of famous fisherman was somewhere around.

IMG_2754.jpg

I have heard his name before, but I'm not a big deep sea fisherman, so I didn't go looking for him. I'm sure it was cool for those who watch that show and/or are into the whole fishing thing.

OOh I love the Dealiest Catch and the Northwestern is my favorite. Sig is great. I would have loved to have met him.

Great pics as usual. You capture every little detail, it is wonderful.

Been MIA sorry, moved the board to a new site.

I think I took around 300 pics at POP, sorry, but I will not stay again. too many unruly kids and parents just not caring. The frozen coke was delicious though. On Enchanted we decided they should make it a family suite across at that abandoned part or make it a Pixar themed hotel. I like the Pixar idea. My photo count last month was 1200 for 4 days. Not to bad. :rotfl2:

Did you take advantage of the special that came out today. We are trying to figure out dates to go.

Be back soon and will need to catch up again.

Hope all is well.
