Wow I never noticed that fence in Canada before. I love all the little things I learn about WDW from your pictures!
The nutcrackers in Germany are so cool. and that GINGERBREAD!! I LOVE Chocolate covered gingerbread! I kind of want to go back to WDW right now just to get one.
At work today we went to visit a group of first graders. We were taping their teacher being given a special award. We were explaining all about the video shoot to the kids and what they would have to do and when they would have to be quiet and what not, and when we asked if they had any questions one little boy raised his hand and said "Do you know that Barack Obama is the new vice president?"
Yes, I am making plans for a chocolate-eared gingerbread man this time. And, like I said, I think I'll be bring a few home for a special Christmas Day treat. I'll get new WDW coffee mugs for the hot chocolate we will have with it, too, and we might just close our eyes and imagine ourselves sitting in front of a beautiful, blazing Wilderness Lodge fire. If we can't be there for real, we'll do the best we can at home.
So, how would you like to spend your whole day with first-graders?
That's an impressive side of potatoes!
I LOVE the shop in Japan. My mom, sister, and I did the pick-a-pearl when we were there, and when we were waiting for our jewelry to be set, we easily spent the 20-ish minutes browsing. My poor father. He'll have no one to escape with this time, unless one of us decides that we're sick

of shopping.
After seeing your pictures of other resorts, I think I'm going to try to do a little resort-hopping of my own--it's on my wish list, at least. I'm especially curious to visit the Grand Floridian. I'm sure I could convince someone to come with me, especially if I throw in the word "shops."

Oh, and I also added the almond pretzel to my wish list! AND I went to get food at Panera Bread with my brother earlier, and tried to pretend that I was eating something from Earl of Sandwich.
Yes, that was a humongous portion of potatoes, and they mostly went untouched. They were good, though. We really weren't as hungry as we should have been to be able to fully enjoy and appreciate Le Cellier.
You'll enjoy the resort hopping. Each resort has a different feel. I enjoy them all!
I don't really need to tell you I enjoy the gift shops at all of them, too, do I?
Oh, gosh, that almond pretzel was so good!
You go places and pretend it's Disney World?!?!?
Silly, silly girl.
Who does that?
And please, whatever you do, don't go back to the beginning of
Lady and the Tramp and try to prove that
we do that, too.
All of those pictures were pure coincidence.
Yeah, that's it.
Pure coincidence.
Don't you love the shop in Japan?! You find the coolest things in there! This however is my personal favourite thing I have seen for sale:
I was laughing like a maniac!! I'm still not sure what it really is (my guess is aromatherapy), but my first thought was "silence of the lambs costume" It reminded me of that thing they put over Hannibal Lector's face in the movie!
Great updates as usual
I love the Japan store. The kimonos, lucky cats, purses, jewelry boxes, bonsais, candy, etc. I could spend a lot of time in there!
I saw that weird thing in Japan, too. Maybe that's an anti-snoring device. If it is, Japan could have just solved a big problem for me!
Hey MeMom
I saw your plans but have forgotten, where are you guys staying during your trip ( which is just 3 weeks away!)?
We'll be at All-Star Music this time. We wanted to do it again during the holiday season, because it was so nice when we went last Christmas. Since we've all been to Pop more often, we thought we'd be different this time.
you no longer have to warn me about birds. i have become accustomed to seeing them in the threads because disney world is COVERED with them so the shock value is gone. however, when i'm there in real life, i WILL walk in the other direction AWAY from those birds!
what did you think of le cellier? ray and i ate there on our first trip in may '07. it was good but a bit overrated in my opinion. don't get me wrong - our food was great. but ray can cook a steak just as good and it costs a lot less!

i guess i'm just very lucky that my husband is a rockin cook.
True about the birds being everywhere.
So, your love of Disney is helping you overcome a fear.
Very therapeutic.
I think you should use that as an excuse to go more often!
My fear of enclosed spaces may be a little more difficult, though. I just have to wonder if I would be able to go to WDW if so many activities were in close spaces. I talk myself quietly few the stretching room at the Haunted Mansion already, and the crowded waiting areas to many attractions. I love Star Tours, but I have to look straight ahead and not to the sides. I tell myself that I can get up and walk out a back door at Carousel of Progress any time I want.
So, I guess Disney is helping me a little, too.
I think I should go more often.
I draw the line at Mission:Space, though.
That is never happening!
oh, yes. i've been a blonde, brunette, red head....even purple when i was younger! my hair has seen every color under the sun. luckily i have thick, strong hair or i would've for sure fried it by now at least a dozen times!
Might we see a purple era picture?
Amazing pictures of Epcot! I love the details! I see things in your pictures that I have never noticed!
I'm so glad you like them. I'll take one or two more in a few weeks.
Got any requests?
Nope, I don't have a fence like that one. I don't actually have a fence at all. My yard backs onto forest, we do have a lot of deer though!
I have never eaten at LeCellier, Oh gasp! I am still a true Canadian. I will have to eat there and see what all the fuss is about. I Love a good steak, and the mousse looks cute and yummy. They should have poutine on the menu, you guys would love it. (fries+gravy+cheese curd)
Declansdad I know you love you some poutine....
Punkin - I wish I had a husband to BBQ for me, I left my "rockin cook" back in Alabama.
Congrats on the election, it was all the talk today in our country too.
Well, the fence is cool. You should get one.
declansdad and pooksma have a bunch of deer up there at their house, too. You guys must live in the same neighborhood, huh?
We have deer here, too, but they are fading out fast in this area with all the new growth.
I can't believe all those potatoes!
I love that store in Japan. It's so much fun to look around at all that stuff.
I hope that looking at the pics in your TR will inspire me to slow down and appreciate everything there is to appreciate around Disney World. You always have pictures of things I have NEVER noticed before.
I think they mashed up about a dozen for one portion! At least we know, now, for future visits. We can most definitely share!
I'm sure you will have many great pictures to share with us when you go back.
When is it you're going back?
Seems like it is very, very soon!!!!
Great updates Memom. You take some of the neatest pictures.
Thanks. Hope you guys are all doing well. How's the trip planning/brainstorming for next year coming along?
So you're up proper proper early then!!!
I suspect we will be joining you on our first morning in America. Due to the time difference (5/6 hours) we tend to wake up REALLY early on our first 1-2 mornings over there. I remember the time we went to New York (Mum, Dad, Sister and I) and woke up at 5am. It was a lovely time to see the city and the best thing was - there were deli's and cafe's open for us to get breakfast - very handy!
This trip wouldn't be so bad if we were visiting a park with EMH! But as our first day is our party day at
MVMCP, we're doing Downtown Disney to take things easy before a late party night! So we're hoping to sleep in as much as we can - until a reasonable hour! Or at least until the Mara opens for breakfast!
Your plans sound great! I will report back when we get home (24 November) as to whether the AKL has their Christmas Tree up. I really hope so - it would just make our stay so much more magical! I'd love to see the Osborne Lights too, but think we'll miss them. My only other 'would love to see' is the Gingerbread House at the GF - again fingers crossed!!!
xxx
I am up proper early. How cute is that? I wish I could hear you say that in person - complete with your accent. I'm missing that chance by mere days because of the way our trips are!
That's great that you can let us know about who has their trees up! We would appreciate that so much! We want to see as many as we can, but if everyone waits until Thursday and Friday to have them up, we'll run short on time.
Will you have a computer with you for live check-ins on your trip?
If so, you can pretty much count on me to be up reading along in the wee hours of the morning.
Proper early, that is.
Us country folks equivalent to that might be
'up before the rooster crows',
but that's not nearly as cute as proper early.

My last pictures on this card are showing me that we left Epcot after Le Cellier.
But before we left, there was one thing we had to do.
No, wait, we didn't leave.
We did Universe of Energy.
These dinosaurs are not nearly as exciting as the ones in Animal Kingdom.
Now we're leaving.
I took that picture looking back as we left.
We really were going away, not coming in.
Upon arrival back home, we happened upon the afternoon dance club.
More next time. Have a thrilling Thursday!
