That last one is cool! There are some creative CMs at the resorts.
Yeah, that was the first time I had ever paid attention to them doing that. I don't spend a lot of time over at luggage services, but the cab dropped us off there, so that's why I noticed it.
CBR looks very neat! Was there a lot of variety at the food court?
They have different stations - pizza, sandwiches, and such - but as soon as I saw the chicken and broccoli, I knew exactly what I wanted.
The pictures of CBR look so great. I also would love to try out the zero entry pool.
I doubt I'll get over there this trip, but I look forward to going to see the finished pool on a future trip. It looks very interesting, and it should be a huge hit with kids.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
to memom, jill, brooklynn, john, trent, drew, kristy.....and anyone else i missed!!!!!
i love this picture - either erica or myself (can't remember which) took it at
MNSSHP as we were leaving. thought i'd share it to put everyone in the halloween spirit. i love how they put in the fog for the party...so spooky!
That's a great picture! Don't you know how fun it must have been for those at Magic Kingdom last night?!?!?
And thanks. We hope you had a good one, too!
I live in Massachusetts, and we get that too, trust me! I work as a front-end supervisor in a grocery store, so I've gotten to witness it firsthand for years. My mom thinks it's because a lot of people remember the infamous blizzard of '78--they predicted light snow, or just a few inches, I think, and it ended up being a full-out blizzard. Schools were closed for a week and no one was allowed out to drive, except for police, firemen, and ambulance drivers. Granted, this WAS thirty years ago, and technology has come a long way, but people still freak out at the mention of snow. If they start mentioning a nor'easter, forget it!
Yep, that stands out quite distinctly for me.
I'm really glad that we finally settled on February, just for that reason. It was either February, April, or June, and we quickly eliminated June, just due to the heat. April would've been good, but Easter falls around the same week that we would have gone, so February it was!
We're staying at Pop again, too

so reading your report is getting me soooo much more excited for our trip! One thing that I would like to do during our time there (since we're there for a week!), is do a little resort-hopping. I'm making a "to-do" list, I think.
Have a happy and safe Halloween!
Whenever the threat of snow is in the air here, you can bet the opening report of the evening news of all the channels will be live from some grocery store!
February seems like a good choice. And it happens to be first among your choices, so you don't have a long time to wait!
Thanks for the invite MeMom, but we're not coming in until the Sunday (Nov. 30), as it's not a holiday for us up here in Canada! But I hope you all have fun! Happy Halloween!
We'll be driving home on the 30th. We're going to probably make one last sweep through Fantasyland for Brooklynn, do our last minute shopping, get something to eat, and then hit the road.
Happy Halloween!!!!
MeMom - Your pictures of CBR brought back so many memories. That is where Joe and I stayed the first time we went to disney as a couple. that was back in May of 2004. I cannot believe I been to Disney 11 times since then. i cried like a little baby when we left in 04 b/c I did not know when we would get to go again....lol
Jill -- Brooklynn looks so cute in her costume. I hope she got may treats.
Have a wonderful weekend!
She has more candy than she'd need in a year. Jill said, of course, that she'll pick out a few goodies and then the rest would mysteriously disappear. John is a candy eater, so I'm sure he'll find a good place for it.
Happy Dress Up Day! Brooklynn is just adorable!
Love the pics and seeing "everyone and everything" Disney!!!! Here are some pics as you asked....can you guess who these girls are?????
All the girls are so cute! Thanks so much for sharing those pictures. It must have been a lot of fun at your house! Brooklynn would have joined right in there with them with all of that dressing up.
The 'disguise' on the little girl on the hayride is cute.
The scary eye picture - WHOA! I guess she thought that was quite funny!
I guess you have about thirty pounds of candy at your house right now, don't you????
So MeMom, I have to ask...
Did you have "fall parties" at school today? My 2nd grader did. I get such I kick out of that. I understand why the schools have changed it but I remember having halloween parties at school when I was a kid that included all the kids marching around the schoolyard in our costumes, so fun!
we did trick-or-treating tonight. This year the town decided to only have it for 1 1/2 hours, it really seemed like a short time. maybe because it was 60 degrees out when we started at 5:30, usually it's in the 40's. This was much nicer!
Happy Halloween everyone!
My team teacher and I don't really do parties as far as games and such. We usually just keep it low key and do a snack, a short video, and then go outside and let them run their 'wildness' off. Yesterday, I took both classes in my room while she set up the food in her room. I showed a 30 minute video, and when she was ready, they went over a few at a time to get their food. We took it all outside, because the weather was great at that time of the day. They ate and played until time to go in for dismissal.
Jill's pre-school had a Fall Festival with games and activities, and she said her kids were all jumping around everywhere with excitement.
When I talked to Brooklynn yesterday, she told me she was wearing light up Halloween socks. She thought she was looking pretty spiffy!
I have no pics of my daughter. She actually went trick or treating with my neighbor and got ready at their house. Since my kids range from 25 to 9 this was the first time in 20+ years I have not taken a kid out. I was a little glad to get to sit home in peace but a little sad that I wasn't going.
Enjoy the peaceful days you get. Between all those great kids and the tons of grandkids you're going to have, you'll have plenty of wild ones ahead!
******************************************
On to a day at Epcot.
Brooklynn woke up to breakfast in bed.
It was just a few inches away from being breakfast in
head!
I'd be happy to wake up to this this morning.
Dressed and ready to go.
While we were waiting for Jill and John to gather up, Brooklynn and I went walking. She wanted to play Twister, so we did.
Make that,
she did.
She needs a little more practice on how to play the game.
How many times did you really say this back in the day?
I guess I took a shopping picture before I got started on the day.
I know that surprises everyone.
First ride of the day:
Did you notice the ticket taker? She's reading the paper while on the job, so that's no different than us sneaking in a Dis moment or two these days, right?
Very important questions are asked so that you can determine your future.
Looks like some of our group will become oceanographers someday.
They don't appear to be excited about the job.
Then we just spent some time wandering around and doing some activities.
Coming soon - later today, probably - we explore a house of the future.
I'm off to the grocery store while it is nice and uncrowded. I'll be back before most of you ever wake up, so it'll be like I was never gone!
Oh, yeah, I must mention that it is now officially November, so we can start saying,
"We're going to Disney World this month!"
