Ready to begin on our first full day, we all headed out to the Magic Kingdom. DH and DS stopped at Picabu’s for a quick breakfast while myself and DD just had a quick and easy granola bar in the room while we got pretty for Mickey! After the first breakfast, my DH discovered that he could grab coffee and a muffin at the bar towards the right of the escalator downstairs….so that is where they ate the rest of the trip.

We arrived at the MK at rope drop and saw the opening ceremonies. I try very hard to pay attention to the show, but I find myself just wanting to GET INSIDE! Finally, DD and DS run…I can not run….they are lucky I walk fast…and we catch up to them at the entrance to tomorrowland where we meet another rope….the CM’s did a good job of keeping everyone under control and entertained for another five minutes before they threw up the “pixie dust” and let us in! As a side note: DD and DS ran and they went to the hub and then to tomorrowland. I know the cut through by the Plaza restaurant and we just as close as they were..HINT HINT and believe me…I did not run!

We rode in this order…..Space Mountain….Buzz Lightyear…..Winnie the Pooh…..Peter Pan….no fast passes and 5 minutes wait each. We squeezed in Small World because my DH was whining about going by it….LOL….then grabbed a Fast Pass to Big Thunder….rode Splash (10 min wait) ….and then rode Big Thunder with the fast pass.

DH wasn’t in the mood for the Haunted Mansion…so he went off to Jungle Cruise to get FP’s and we went to Haunted Mansion….then we met him at Pirates and then we rode Jungle Cruise. By this time it was about 12 noon and we decided to go back to the Dolphin for a rest….Not bad for three hours the week before Easter.

After a nice swim and lunch by the pool at the Dolphin….we headed over to EPCOT at about 4:30 pm. The crowds had moved over to the Worldshowcase….and we went on the Nemo ride and Turtle Talk … along with Figment….then Living with the Land and then finally the Circle of Life….Then we had dinner at Garden Grill (ADR). NOTE: Soarin’ standby was 60 minutes and the FPs were all gone.

Although I like the idea of the Garden Grill….I did not enjoy the food….The steak was dry….we didn’t even attempt the Catfish and the chicken was very salty. My kids did like making their own cupcakes….we had to ask for that since my kids are teenagers LOL…but they still wanted to do it and there was no problem with that…Actually the cupcakes looked more appetizing then the “strawberry shortcake” which was a few triangles of pastry and cream over it. I was not a big fan of this restaurant and the price is fixed so it was not a good value.

Stay tuned for Day three….and any questions…just ask!
