My sister and I are spending a day at Epcot in March. We love sampling different foods (too bad it isn't Food and Wine Festival time). What places do you recommend? We are open to TS meals, but would really like to just get some good CS meals to share...so we can sample more items.

Thanks all!!!:)

I'll admit, my husband and I haven't done enough of this but the last time we had a bit more success...

We did the CS places (as you suggest) and picked one or two items to share. I think we got a platter at Mexico, something in Japan, and I don't remember much else!:rotfl: I really wanted to try something from the cafe in Morrocco but the wait was just too long...

On a previous trip we got a small basket of fish and chips in the England area.

You can see most (if not all) of the menus HERE...maybe that can help you decide what to try!

A couple ideas for eating around WS, in no particular order: Inside Mexico Pavilion is a tequila bar with small plates, share an order of fish and chips from the take out in UK, sample any of the various delicious items from the bakery in France, grab some egg rolls from China take out, and don't overlook funnel cakes (outside in front of American Pavilion) and/or crepes with ice cream (outside in France).

Have a great trip!

The orange chicken in China is good. I like the pita wraps in Morocco. Make sure to get something from the French bakery.

For a nice snack, I like to order the hummus with pita chips at the Morroco counter service. There's so much hummus that for a dollar more I get a nice warm round of pita bread. The hummus is $2.00, so for $3.00 I have a great little lunch. BUt this would be a great shared snack.

We think the Tangierinne Cafe (CS) in Morocco is better than any of the TS in the World Showcase (excluding bistro de Paris). Except for dessert. That we get from France's bakery. Skip the crepes; they are mediocre, go for the bakery items.

I do a thing called the appetizer run, we get one appetizer with one drink and move on to the next stop

Yummy appetizers on all of the menus :mickeybar

The pot stickers and egg rolls and the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China are pretty good. In the United Kingdom, fish and chips. In France, a pastry, of course. A soft pretzel in Germany. Norway has good pastries as well as open faced sandwiches. Japan has some good things in its counter service place. Funnel cake in America. I'm not a big fan of Morrocco but they have a counter service place. A churro in Mexico. France also has the crepe kiosk.

I love to eat food. I love to eat well. I spent a day at EPCOT and incredibly, that was my worst dining experience. I blame myself really. I did not have an ADR. It was a last minute decision to go on the day we chose.
All my dining choices at EPCOT were uneventful, unmemorable, and uninviting.
The food court in the Land
The snack hut at the entrance of world showcase (chicken fingers)
A baguette at the France pavilion
fast food at the CS in the american adventure

I resolve for my next visit to EPCOT I will eat like a princess...
:thumbsup2

split the Fish and Chips at Yorkshire Fish Shoppe
Kaki Gori ( shaved ice ) in Japan
Hummus and Chips in Morroco ( or a shawarma platter to split)
Bakery Item in France
Funnel Cake in US
School Bread in Norway
Tapas and Margarita at " The Ditch" in Mexico
?? China ???

I love to drink wine, but I do need some non-alcoholic beverages to pace myself. One of the things I did was get some kind of a "fun" lemonade or other fruit type drink. I would drink that, and then add water to the leftover mix and ice. It was still yummy! Of course it was very diluted and did not taste like the original drink, but it was a nice change from water. Sometimes the original drink was a bite over loaded with sugar.... and the second drink was better.

I second the Pot Stickers from Lotus Blossom and I'll add in the Beef and Cheese Empanadas from the Refreshment Port near Canada.

My family loves to eat our way through the World Showcase. Here are some of my favorites:
1. Baquette and the Cheese Plate at Boulangerie Patisserie with a glass of wine from Les Vins des Chefs de France
2. Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce at Sommerfest
3. Fish-n-Chips at Yorkshire Fish House
4. Egg Rolls at Lotus Blossom Cafe
5. Fiesta Margarita at the Margarita Stand
6. Rainbow Kaki Gori at the Kaki Gori Food Court
