A Tale from Two Sisters---May/June 2012 PTR ***Link to TR--6/13!!***

First off. . .Single Digit Dance We'll arrive at WDW in 10. . .and this week is going to be ever so long at work

Last Full Day at WDW
Saturday June 2, 2012

Have to say that our moves to the Poly for our vacation has made a lot of things much easier. Snagging a monorail ride(s) are much faster and easier, I feel, than waiting for a bus and piling in and then going to other stops and picking up or dropping off other guests before making it to the Park and then trying to get to the Resort that the ADR is at . . . Ahhh, much better!!!

So we just have to hop the monorail over to the CR for our 9:25 Chef Mickey's ADR for our yummy breakfast. We'll be getting pictures for the PhotoPass Plus, yep we're doing it!!!, autographs, and twirling our napkins with Mickey and the gang. Today our goals are to make it to the Three Mountains, HM, Buzz Lightyear, PoTC, CoP, People Mover, WDW RR, and Jungle Cruise (well I'd have no issue sitting that one out for a Dole Whip or Citrus Swirl )

(Yep, that is Cinderella's foot in my stomach. She was putting up her very preggers legs to rest)


At 2 pm the plan, for those with The Littles at least, to had back to the resort for naps. Then just be back to the MK for our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:35 p.m. After that see what rides we'd still like to do, or last shopping to do, or snacks to grab with any leftover SC. Not sure who will stay to see Wishes! as we hit the road at 5 am the next morning for a loooong drive. So the Master Drivers, PP and PC, may head back for sleep.

All I know is it's hard to drag yourself away from that beautiful, crazy, lit up evening, where it smells so heavenly and you try with all your might to take as many mental pictures as you can (who cares if they replace valuable job knowledge ) and wish upon a star for a return in the near future to this Magical Happy Place where the cares of the world melt away. And then I eventually just tear myself away and force myself to get out of the gates before I do one last look back, at least I know we get one more monorail ride. Which upon that ride I'll tear up the Monorail telling me that they hope I've enjoyed my time here, just as much as I teared up when it welcomed me on my first ride.

Holy Buckets!!! How could have I forgot to write yesterday that we FINALLY got our Mickey Mail!! Yep, that's right as we made it into the single digits, it finally came--whew! Perhaps it was the fatigue from work or the distraction of the garage sale mom hosted and I made enough from to finance my golden ticket to the World and then some
In a week it will all be worth it, and in 6 hours and change we'll be headed down to WDW I have four more days of work and am not sure how I'll make it, but always seem to before

That final day is always bittersweet, isn't it?

I can't wait until I'm having sweet Poly dreams! Soon, very soon! I have to work two days next week, and then I'll have Wed., Thurs., and Fri. to get ready for this trip!

Jealous of your two days left, but I also know you people actually using your teaching degree blush will do more in your days left than I will. Cinderella is moving grades/classrooms so she has to have everything boxed and labeled before next Wednesday (their last day.) Good luck with the end of the year!!!
Just think our ninth sleep from today will be in the POLY!!!

The best part of the garage sale is that I sold enough to help fund more of this trip

The nicest part. . .mom and dad ran it for us

The worst part. . .man some people really want it all for nothing

The coolest part. . .mom and I met a friend of Aladdin's!!!! She saw all the Disney stuff for sale and asked if someone worked there (guess that's a sign you may be a Disney Nut ) No, but we do like to visit. So she told us about Aladdin in Morocco, and I really hope we get to meet him and ask if he has friends from our parts VERY COOL!!!

Whoo hoo. . .no more weekends left before we embark on our magical vacation

The girls' birthday party was yesterday and was fun Though I can't believe Minnie is already two, and it will be even harder to accept the fact that tomorrow Ariel will be four Now I understand why my grandma always wanted to put a rock on my head and keep me from growing up

Today I need to take my doggie in for her second bordatella (sp?) shot so she can be kenneled for our vacation Poor little sweetheart, mommy will bring you something back from Disney World. . .that makes it all better, right Should probably finalize everything, lists and packing today. Well except for what will go in at the last minute. Tomorrow going to hang out with Ariel for her b-day and then have a friend's launch party to attend before coming back to do presents and cake with Ariel and the rest of the party. Then work Wed, Thur and Fri (until 3 pm that day). . .then

So, I better get the last leg of the journey up now. . .

June 3 and June 4, 2012. . .

First--here's the original itinerary for said days:

Day 9 Sunday June 3, 2012
We'll leave at 5:00 (or is it 4:00 now? I'm working off an old itinerary) from the Poly in the great WDW

And with stops and such, we'll hopefully arrive at our midway point for the night around 5:00/5:30 p.m.

Day 10 Monday June 4, 2012

This day we leave at 5:00 am for our last day to home Boy do those last two/three hours seem to draaaag right before you hit home. Hoping to stop at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast/brunch along the way. This always helps with the deflation of vacation being over, one last sit down meal with the family before the long hours in the car again. Bonus, old fashioned candy to eat on the way home for a sugar rush/crash. You know if you're not driving and you get car sickness We'll be home around 7 p.m. to sleep in our own beds Sad that our vacation is over, but so happy and thankful for the memories and pictures we'll have to cherish and tease with forever. Plus now we'll have a TR to write up as well

Now. . .some of that has changed for some of us
Cindy, PC and the Littles will be adhering to this schedule.

PP has a business trip that he will be going on that requires him to fly out the night after we get back. . .probably wouldn't even be home 24 hours before he leaves again. His destination is about three hours away from our midpoint stay. Long story short. . .Tink and Snow are going to join him. So now we will swing by ATL to drop me, Aurora, off for an evening flight home on Saturday. I'd go with Cindy and her Crew, but they have a sedan with two adults in the front and three car seats in the back so no room. I don't exactly enjoy flying, motion sickness and claustrophobia are good friends, nor have I done it alone before. So to make it up to me Tink and PP were awesome enough to put me first class, where I'll be in a row all by myself, and pay for it So I'll be the first in our family to experience first class and see what it's all about And a friend was so kind enough as to say she'd come pick me up and bring me home

So our caravan plans to stay with me all the way to security Then they'll head back on their way to the midpoint while I find where I need to be and sit and wait for my flight.

Now I can pick up doggie from the vet stay a day early and enjoy three days off before going back to work. Cindy's Crew will come in Monday evening and the other three won't come back til the following week. Leaves plenty of time to get photos uploaded and the TR started

I can hardly wait for vacation to begin!!! I just find myself smiling throughout the day thinking about "this time next week we'll be. . .at ak. . .hanging out at Poly. . next is ohanas

I know, I had to type it fast, like a band-aid Especially when earlier today I thought, "Wow, now I can say 'next week I'll be at AK' instead of 'five weeks from now'!" But that also means in two weeks I'll be back home instead of home.
I'll make sure to include the experience in my TR!

Just look at that ticker. . .just look I should be getting things finalized in case I need to run and get something tomorrow after work, but look where I'm at instead
Went and got a pedi tonight (2nd one in my life) and got french tip (1st time any nails have been french tipped)
So excited for leaving and have what. . .30.5 hours until we head down the road
Seven hours of work tomorrow. . .which just sounds so much better than the normal ten. . .glad I put in for hours a bit ago since there has been major issues at work. This I way I don't feel guilty about leaving, since it's already in there before I knew of major catastrophes!
I walk down the hallways at work letting out little squeals of delight, after making sure no one's watching me Just thinking, "It's almost here!!!" I definitely need a break from that crazy place and the nutty things that have been going on lately

Ugh, so glad that work is over. Major issues going on and so glad I get to escape on vacation!!! One of the managers had to cancel her vacation So glad I'm a peon The thought of missing this vacation. . .devastating. I left five minutes into my vacation and didn't breathe (okay, allow myself to get giddy) until after I was off of work property. Then I swear everyone and their mother got off early (well it is Memorial Day Weekend) and was trying to hit me. . .some crazy driving going on out there

Now I've just got to straighten my hair (better now than at 3 am), put on my faux tan (so I don't blind the other vacationers and Floridians ), paint my nails (so they can look halfway as decent as my toes), finish packing (except for the last minute things), and rest/sleep.

Set the alarm for 230, that way I'm out of bed by 3 . Get everything in the van and then head down the street to pick up the rest of our caravan And hopefully be on the road by 4 am!!

My parents are bringing their laptop so I'm hoping to use it and *maybe* do a live report down in WDW!!!! We shall see!!!
