OKAY...phew...I feel better, I was a tad bit confused because after reading 14 pages of this, I, as well as Lisa, feel it is probably time to move on from Supermarkets and Shopping Carts at this point and concentrate on the SEASON!!!

I must be one of those people who bothers the OP so much. I can appear to walk perfectly normally for about 4 or 5 minutes (long enough to get into the store) before my sciatica and pelvic arthritis start up with the shooting/burning/stabbing pain, at which point a cart to lean on for a few minutes is a welcome relief. Sorry if my "ample" behind isn't attractive to you, but I'm sure your holier-than-thou stares aren't too attractive to me when it's almost too painful to even go buy my kids some milk.

i want to start an ample-bottomed club(who knows how to make an avatar??)

I don’t notice how people walk at the supermarket, I’m usually more interested in finishing with my shopping fast, as I HATE grocery shopping. And in all honesty, unless you’re sitting on my lap I don’t care how “ample” you are. But I don’t feel the need to insult and offend people that do.

What I’m trying to say is that if you want Dawn to respect “ample” (love the word) people, try respecting her opinion even when disagreeing.

But this post is smug and VERY sanctimonious! The original post was as well! I think thats the whole point, the sanctimonious attitude that came across in the original post.

Yeah, me too, and I'm sure Dawn does to -- she was shooting the breeze with something, not unlike the countless other people who post to vent about the most inane things. I doubt if she started a riot at the grocery store.

I it was other posters that jumped on the bandwagon here and made Dawn out to be a "hater of fat people". She said from the beginning she was talking about posture, not weight.

So many of you have put words in her mouth -- like I said before, disagree with you if you like (I don't mean you tinah, just using your post to make a point) but the reaction from many of you was the really unattractive part.

Give it up, Aunt Polly. You can't bail Dawn out of this one. She is the one who specified "of ample proportions" -- read her original post again. Go defend someone worth defending.
