"Oh brother?" You didn't MEAN it as a personal attack? HMMM. There were people (like me) standing up for her. Your comment was about ME and about Aunt Polly. Somehow if you say something inflamatory about us we're supposed to give you the benefit of the doubt and think you didn't mean it like it sounded. Yet if Dawn makes a comment about an annonymous person in the grocery store it's okay to start name calling.

If the comments that I made came across as personal attacks on you, Aunt Polly, and/or Dawn, I sincerely apologize and retract the "inflamatory" bits. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

What??? I'm confused as to what you are so bothered about. Pages and pages of berating Dawn for her comment are okay, but three posts discussing your words (saying some of us are not "rational, caring, or compassionate" because we said people should not be attacking her) are this upsetting to you?

Please hit the bad post button at the bottom of a post if you feel someone made a personal attack against you .

The Mods can lock a thread whenever they feel a personal attack is taking place or if someone is not following DIS rules.

The OP can also request that her/his thread be closed for any reason the OP chooses.

I agree this thread should be locked. Especially since it appears the OP refuses to admit her OP was no better than the "military people are stupid" one she was so harsh on not too long ago.

i try to refrain from personal attacks. i believe that i am successful for the most part. can you say the same?

Most likely if you would stop defending what appears to be an ill-conceived initial post, people would probably stop jumping on you. I am really starting to think you like it. What you posted above is JUST EXACTLY what you and your buddies are protesting so strongly against.
