A "super" E-Ticket comming to Tommrowland?

Any clue in when we can expect this to be announced? From what I am hearing an announcement is comming soon, with construction starting this summer.

I am hearing once "TRON" and FLE is done 2013-2014 Adventure Land will get an upgrade.

I'd say they will announce it with in 6 months, maybe they will have the Tron party at DCA again and announce it there.

Yea DL will be getting the same attraction first.

So you heard DL getting this too, I heard that this is a WDW exclusive attraction.

DL's TL looks to have little room to expand.
Maybe they will get a smaller/diffrent Tron attraction.

They are saying this is a EE scale project for WDW. I am just excided that we may have a thrill in MK.

Do I think the mine coaster will be neat? Yes a Thrill like RnR, ToT, EE? NO

In DL I believe it would replace the Speedway.

Also don't assume because it is an E that it will be a thrill ride.

I heard a coaster type.
Granted I am not a super thrill ride junkie but RnR, Tot, MS, Dino, EE and TT to me is perfect for a thrill, they just need 1-2 more of these type of rides

Still my fav's are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, PoTC,HM, TSM and Soarin' far from thrill rides.

good pt on the Speedway in DL.

I'll be honest I'm not sure what ride system will be used because thus project has changed 190000009 times since the 80's and the Tron arcade at Epcot.

I doubt a coaster however. One rumor is a personal simulator light cycle attraction. Basically each person gets there own mini Startours simulator.

So thin Back to the Future setting. A large theater where everyone gets there own light cycle simulator the add a 3G helmet. Thus is just one of the rumors.

I guess I should have just asked what an e-ticket was? Nevermind, I used my Google-fu to figure it out.

You usedto have to by ticket books for Disney parks and each attraction was rated A being the lowest to E the highest. They don't use thus system bur the terminology gas stuck.

Examples

A MS vehicles
B People move
C Peter Pan
D Buzz
E Splash Mountain

-off topic-

Does anyone else believe that SM is not getting love here. :confused3

It's not just my favorite Disney ride but favorite ride of all time!

-back on topic-

Putting another e-ticket ride right there may be a ploy to reduce tomorrowland lines, But personally, if it involves getting rid of CoP which i've heard as quite a likely possibility, i just don't know if i want it...

Nope CoP is safe there us a big plot behind SM an there is the land where the theater used be.

Figment,
I was told that this project would be back in that area, extending possibly to the pond by space mountain.
Now this has me thinking about the speedway in WDW would they get rid of that too.

I guess time will tell. hopefuly we get an answer soon.

I would rather see they finally announce BK/MI in DAK:thumbsup2

No this wouldn't include the speedway there are other plans fir that.

Hmmm...interesting. Can't say there is much information here to confirm or deny it...though Figment has recently proven himself a semi-reliable source.

A couple of things:
1) I do not like calling anything a "SUPER E-Ticket". An E-ticket ride is a term that is defined as a top attraction. Adding Super makes no sense.

2) While $100 million for a ride sounds like a lot, I am not so sure. Spiderman and Jaws supposedly cost $100 million back in the mid-ninties.

3) I don't see how they are "saving" $100 million on the FLE when really what they did was pull out a couple of cheap Meet and Greets and a play area and added a second dark ride. How did that make the cost go down?

That said - I could see $100 million for a high quality simulator ride - which MK doesn't have, versus some kind of coaster - which is right next door in Space Mountain. Sounds like another D23 announcement to me!

Lots of exciting stuff going on in WDW...
However a super E ticket simulator sounds like the whole Mission Space fiasco. If they build another crappy ride like that I'll be really angry.
On the flip side the Light Cycles were awesome in the movie. If they do this right I'll be on a plane there in no time.

I like Mission: Space.

But overall, I don't like simulators and don't ever need to see another one built at WDW.

Bottom is a link to motorbike syle coaster system. That would be neat moding that to the Tron Light Cycles. in a dark setting going over the grid, simlar to RnR, but a simlator done right would also be great. MS. a very well done ride IMHO, unfortually it devleoped a bad rap.

Reason why a super E-Ticket is these attractions are considered E-Ticket according the the rides featured on E-Ticket nights
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Peter Pan's Flight
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain

This next ride is supposadly on the level of SM, Splash, TT, Soarin', EE, RnR, ToT, TSM.

I am also hearing conflicting stories that LM ride is going to be classified as a E-Ticket.
