A Sunday or a Monday? (7/8 or 7/9)

We have 2-day hoppers and will be there July 6-9, arriving late on the 6th and flight departs late on the 9th. We were planning to do the parks on Saturday and Sunday (beach on Monday) but I'm seeing posts that Sundays are most crowded. Do you think we'd be better off going that Monday instead of Sunday, crowd-wise? We're not too into the night shows so we'd be fine missing Monday night entertainment if it meant more manageable crowds during the day. I realize no one knows for sure, but just curious what your best guesses would be?

By that point (July), the parks will be in their full summer mode, which means long hours and full entertainment on a daily basis. SoCal and SoCal Select AP are blocked on both days, but Deluxe, Signature, Signature Plus and Premier APs are valid. I think that both days are likely to be busy just because it is summer. It might be slightly less crowded on Monday just because some folks that could go on a weekend might be working/school/etc. on a Monday, but being summer, I'm not sure it's going to be a huge/noticable difference.

For me, it would depend on when on when you flight leaves on Monday and what time you would leave the parks. I would probably opt for Sunday, just because you can spend the whole day in the parks.

Sundays are more crowded in the afternoon. Between 8 and 11/12, the park can be pretty dead, even in the popular times of the year. That's our usual MO - go to DL at rope drop, spend about three hours and flee when the local AP-ers finally wake up and hit the parks.

Perfect, we'll stick with our plan of visiting on Sunday but go in the morning and then head back later in the evening - thanks everyone! (our flight leaves SNA @ 7:30pm on Monday)
