A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

I know what you mean-- for our trip last August, DBF and I booked it in January and I had been planning since the summer prior. My mom thought I was nuts-- when she took us when I was younger, she booked our October trip in August! I like savoring the planning, though!

Oh, yes, I was thinking about going for a few months before that trip, but wasn't 100% sure about it! It was in January when I booked it that we really started any planning! Everything before that was just thoughts!

Well, I am still feeling good and Emily seems ok too! Not sure what that was about

We went to Manny's Aunt's house for 12 today, she invited us over for Lazagne. We of course forgot that last weekend my grandmother invited us over for dinner today as well. Well, it's a good thing we all like to eat, right! We ate lazange and some portuguese dessert. I forget what it's called, it's kind of like a pudding, but like a cake ? It was very good! Then we went over to my grandmother's house, and my aunts and cousins were there too. Oh, when we ever saw all the food, we just dug in. She cooked chicken and roasted potatoes, sausage and peppers, a gravy, meatballs and spaghetti! And both sent us home with leftovers. It was a good day We love food!!!!!

The girls are still awake, we are still on vacation mode and they can't really fall asleep. When I drop them off at school in the morning i'm going to go and buy posterboard for our countdown calendar. Remember I was supposed to tell them that I booked the trip a few weeks ago, but we ended up doing things that night and we're always so busy! SO, tomorrow night will be the night. We'll have a little Disney night and make our countdown calendar. I can't wait to get that up. I'm gong to be at Walmart tomorrow, and i'm going to look again for some tanktops to start making our shirts. I already have the transfer paper, but haven't found the right tops yet!

I can't believe you ticker already says 6 months it is going to be here before you know it...and the wedding even sooner...once you get your countdown calendar started the excitment is really going to be so high around your place

Hi Pam! Glad to hear everyone is well! Yes, Victoria was still on vacation mode last night and I think it was at least 10:30pm before she got to sleep. She got a new Webkinz for her birthday, so she was on the laptop playing with him in Webkinz world! 6:30am came pretty early this morning! OH, you are so lucky to have a big family to have these amazing meals with. This weekend it was just Peter, Victoria and I....oh, she had a friend over for a sleepover for her birthday and Chuck E. Cheese day. Can't wait for those darned hours to come out!!!!

Ok, so I got some exciting things done for Disney today! I've been thinking too much about the wedding and that just stresses me out. Disney relaxes me, so the wedding, although too close for comfort, is taking a rest!

I went to Walmart and bought poster board for our Disney countdown calendar! I still have the home depot Mickey heads from last year's with the numbers on them, so we have those and the girls got these amazing art sets for Christmas so we have crayons, colored pencils, markers, oil pastels and paint. I also have some Disney stickers, so we're ready to get that countdown going


I also FINALLY saw that they had tank tops out. I saw really nice short sleeve shirts, but i've never been to Florida in September before and I don't know if they'll be too hot in anything more than a tank top! So, this is what I got for each girl. I picked the light blue for our Epcot day, my epcot designs are Nemo themed and I LOVE them!!

And I already have the transfer sheets, so i'm ready to make my first set of Disney shirts! That's makes me excited beyond belief!!! Not sure if we'll get to them tonight, definitely by tomorrow night though!

And one of Lizzie very engaged in her painting the other day, I walked in and saw this and had to call Manny in and we laughed! She's too cute!

Speaking of painting, my kids love it like nothing else, so I saw these really adorable clay pieces in walmart! I bought them each a couple for their easter baskets! I know it's kind of early but they were too cute to pass up and they had an elephant, which Lizzie is in love with! Elephants and Otters for Lizzie!!!! She just loves them!

So I was productive today and i'm excited! And I'm excited because the kids are going to be REALLY excited when I tell them tonight that we booked the trip and are making a countdown calendar!!!!

I know, I hate being sick. I try to trudge along anyway, but I know they feel bad for their mommy! Manny did a good job helping out though! I'm just so glad the kids were on vacation and I didn't have to get up at 7:30 and get 3 kids ready for school

Ok, so last night was SO fun! When I picked the kids up from school we came home and I had them get their homework done while I cooked supper and I told them that we had something fun to do!

I pulled out the poster board and they were wondering what we were going to do with it, Emily guessed it! So we got to work on it while listening to the dis radio! It was very nice! The kids had so much fun! Manny put up the kids screen house in the parlor So we were inside of that!

And here is the finished product!!! Oh, and before you see the pics on it, YES we did switch to the All Star Music suite last week! I wanted to stay at Pop for my dis friends but Manny would rather try the suite and I know how we wished we had a fridge last trip, so that will be really nice!

I love how it came out, it's very busy! Putting the names up top was totally the girl's idea! I was getting everything ready and they were already putting their names together! They had so much fun!

Then I printed out my confirmation email and had Emily read it! She was reading our names and that we had free dining and then I pointed out to her that we had a reservation number because the trip is already booked! I then showed her the payment history at the bottom! She was SOOOO excited! She couldn't even go to sleep last night! The other two were like "all right" they don't REALLY get what it means to be booked! Emily does!!! When we're packing up and getting ready to go the other two will be excited!!!

This took us past bedtime to do, which I figured it would, so when I dropped the kids off at school this morning I told them that we had another fun thing for Disney to do tonight!! I'M GOING TO GIVE THEM THEIR FIRST DISNEY OUTFIT AND IRON ON THOSE NEMO DISIGNS. I have to pick up Sam in 20 minutes, so right after I do that i'm going to print out the designs on the transfer sheets so they're ready to go tonight!

I can't wait. I have been waiting to make shirts for a while!! I love the smell of the iron burning on those. Not sure why, I know that sounds kind of weird!!!

And to my POP dis friends, We will still be meeting up of course, just not at POP! I was going back and forth with whether or not I wanted to switch and I just think the suite will work so well for us! And it's something different than the connecting rooms that we did last year! I requested the Calypso building (which is the one closest to the lobby/foodcourt) facing the pool! I would love to look out my window and see the pool! Love it! And we do not mind noise. We are a family of 6, WE MAKE THE NOISE!!!
