A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Pam, I can't wait to see the rings :surfweb::banana:. I know you are so excited. Even though you and Manny are basically already married the whole wedding thing is very exciting. You are going to be a beautiful bride :bride:. I love, loVE, LOVE the dress :thumbsup2. I like the bridesmaid dresses too. Are you going with the two different colors? If so that is such a good idea. You could have the girls wearing the yellow color carry blue flowers and the maid of honor carry yellow flowers. Just a crazy idea.... :upsidedow.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH say what?!?!?!?!!??!

Ok lets get an opinion from someone that has stayed at POP,ASMo, and ASMu-hmmmmm I wonder who that will be- me :lmao:!!!!!! (Just trying to be funny, not snotty or anything lol!!!)

Ok, the 3 All Stars do share buses from time to time- probably depending on what time of the day it is/crowds. ASSp being the first, ASMu being the second, and ASMo being the last stop. I prefer ASMo over ASMu because it is more disney themed- alot more character icons. ASMu does not have any character themed buildings. The only characters I remember seeing there is a donald duck in the middle of a pool. They have different musical themed buildings.

On to POP Century. Lots of character theming and Pop Culture. It is also a lot newer than the All Stars, and has its own buses. Pop Century also has a nicer food court with LOTS of seating (seems like more than All Stars), and it has a dessert bar. Everything is marked that you can use on the dining plan that are snacks- very convenient. And hey, where else can you get a tye dyed piece of cheesecake? There are 3 pools- The Hippy Dippy Pool (HUGE and very bright) in the 60's section- close to 70's. The 50's section has the big bowling shaped pool- very cute. And way out in the 90's is a computer shaped pool. There are little icons set up everywhere for great photo ops. Also, Pop Century is right on a lake- I took some pretty pics of this last time. Pop also has a HUGE gift shop!!!!!!! I could go on and on and on about POP Century- and am very excited to take Bill and Austin here for the first time (I went on my girls trip last June). Also, trust me, Manny and Anthony will definitely enjoy this resort. From my point of view Pam, it would be much cheaper for the two connecting rooms and renting a fridge for the 10.00 a day. The suites sleeps up to six, with the private bedroom for two-however, for the extra beds, one is a convertable couch, chair, and ottoman. So, you figure if you get the connecting rooms- you got you and Manny's bed, the two little ones in a bed- and the two older ones have their own beds-probably a little more comfortable than the ottoman and couch. Totally up to you.

Well, let me just bow down to the master here.......yes, Janine, that would be you.....:worship: You have just convinced me that my decision to stay at POP is the correct one. Thank you thank you........Now if only we can get Pam to stay with her choice and it will be the Three Cabelleros all the way!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Ahhh, I stand corrected! Actually, we stayed at Pop on our first trip and really loved it, we just wanted to stay somewhere different and I thought a little smaller (my husband doesn't like hotels to begin with!)

yay oh yay!!! We're gonna see the rings, we're gonna see the rings.....I'm sooooo excited!!!!

They're coming, they're coming, I promise!

LOL

PAm, I love all of the dresses! Yours is beautiful-- the fabric looks so nice and summery! I also love the girls' dresses-- perfect for the fourth of July! Are the girls going to get cute flowergirls dresses??
Sorry to hear about Sam's tooth troubles! Disney cash should MORE than make up for it, though!

Thanks, and Sam is totally fine today. And she was very excited about some more disney money. She was walking around the house this morning with her tooth fairy money and the rest of her money that's in her Disney saving's jar and was fanning it all out and counting it.

Yes, we are very excited about the wedding. And yes, we are basically already married, but the kids think this is very exciting as well and we are going to have a very nice day!
The bridesmaids dresses are going to be the blue one. They just didn't have blue in the other sizes for the other two to try on.
The wedding colors and Blue, silver and a little bit of red will be thrown in.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH say what?!?!?!?!!??!

Thnaks for your rundown of the resorts!! You are too funny. I think I have to stay with POP century huh?

I know, I really really really want POP, it's just that the Suites are very tempting!

Ahhh, I stand corrected! Actually, we stayed at Pop on our first trip and really loved it, we just wanted to stay somewhere different and I thought a little smaller (my husband doesn't like hotels to begin with!)

We stayed at the Movies before and I figured the Suites would give it a totally different feel.

WHO KNOWS, I VERY WELL MAY STAY WITH POP!!!

Ok, you're going to kill me! I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the rings last night. We went to show them to Manny's parents and then we had friends come over. We didn't even do our little Disney night last night. I was planning on telling the girls that I booked the trip and starting the countdown calendar! And now, I am going through the house looking for the rings to get pictures. I have no idea where Manny hid them. We were thinking of a good place to keep them put away, but we never thought of one and he must have just stuck them somewhere last night. I am calling him, but he's at work of course and I guess is busy, cause he's not answering me :lmao: He may actually be working! As soon as I talk to him, i'll find out where they are and get these pictures up!!!!

Ya know, I don't like this planning so far out for a trip! I feel like there is so much to do with planning but until park hours come out, there is not much one can do :confused3 I am feeling stressed out! For our trip last May we started planning that in January, and by April I was not able to contain myself, I was just ready to go! It's only february 3rd, and i'm ready to go now!!! Luckily when the wedding gets a little closer that will take up some of my mind! And then after that, we'll be counting down!!!

But I do have some wedding planning that needs to get done! Which I could be doing right now!!! While I sit on the disboards:rolleyes1

I have to find a DJ (Oh so expensive)

I need to figure out what we're doing for the rehearsal dinner/lunch, which will be on saturday July 3rd (the day before the wedding) and I don't know if I want to plan it at a restaurant or have a big cookout at my brother's house with the pool, seeing how everyone would probably much rather be outside on 4th of July weekend than sitting in a restaurant!

Also need to schedule the Limos

Need Centerpiece ideas

Need favors (Does anyone have any cute ideas for favors) We'll need about 85 favors.

I know what you mean about planning a trip so far out. Our first trip we booked in February and went in April. Our next trip I booked in November and went in April. The anticipation is fun, but it's hard to wait for all the information you need to be released! You just want to PLAN!

I hope you get in touch with Manny so we can see those rings! :goodvibes

Now get off these boards and go plan a wedding! :thumbsup2

That's right Pam.....we are all going to kill you now!!!!:lmao: I suppose the excuse that Manny hid them is a valid one.....FOR NOW!!!! Heck, who am I to talk? We haven't even gone ring shopping yet! Peter just wants a plain band and I want a band with diamonds --- almost like an anniversary band, but not quite. Maybe we'll do that this weekend. We have to go to the venue and pay the deposit and hopefully meet with the bakery, so we just might have to stop by the MALL!!!!

My Disney planning is also at a standstill until those darned hours come out. Should be the beginning of March, so that's not too far away! I'm seriously thinking of changing my dates so that we leave that Monday after the wedding (on the 20th) instead of the 23rd. I just wanted to be able to go on the Haunted Carriage ride at Fort Wilderness and last year they didn't offer those until October 1st. If I left on the 20th, I would only stay until the 1st and would have to be leaving that day --- missing the carriage ride. Heck, what's another day added to the price, right? UGH!! I wish! I still wish I knew how much time Peter's boss will let him have off. Too much thinking!!!

I think you should have the rehearsal dinner at your brother's-- I bet everyone will appreciate the pool and laid back atmosphere.
For my cousin's wedding, the favors were pictures of her and her husband in mini frames. You could do pictures of you guys and the kids! Any kind of candy/truffles are always appreciated, too.

OH that Sneaky Pete :lmao:. I know you are so excited. When Dale and I went and bought our rings he started wearing his that day :rotfl:. We had been living together for 4 months when we got married. He said the ceremony was more for our families. Really? :lmao: He said that in his eyes we were already married. I know they kids are ecstatic with all the plans going on. A wedding and a Disney trip :woohoo:.

A big cookout would be fun especially since it is in July. 5 months :woohoo::dance3::cheer2:. You can order M & M's with your and Manny's name on them and get the cute little favor holders at Walmart. Amanda has looked up every form of favor you can imagine :rolleyes1. She even found out that you can order Jones Soda and they will make the bottle with your picture on it. The soda wasn't expensive, but the shipping was  I told her the M & M's were a cute idea.

Hey Pam......do you want to know how cheap I am???? I'm buying the hersey kisses for Valentines during the Valentine clearence sale the day after and putting them in the freezer. Chocolate freezes really well, and then come September I will have very reasonable favors for all!!! Cheap, aren't I????:lmao:

That's not cheap! That's frugal and a great way to save money to spend at Disney!

Hey! Pam
I love the dresses! and the color of your bridesmaids dresses very pretty! Your dress is beautiful! and she did a great job on the "save the date" cards. I like Dana's idea of the M& M's, I think you can do the kisses like that too! I went to a bday party and the little girl's mom printed small round stickers for the bottom of the kisses (she had the fab 5 and the little girls name). Happy to hear that Sam is doing better and handled the dentist OK! good luck on finding the rings!
and I love the idea of WDW wedding registry!!
:wave2: connie

What was Manny thinking? Doesn't he know that your DIS friends are sitting on the edge of our seats waiting to see the bling!!

We used ring pops (those suckers that are shaped like diamonds on the plastic ring) as favors. I just added a little tag to them with ribbon that said thanks for sharing our day or something like that. I also like the M&M thing. I had "Big Sister Emily" M&M's made for Emily as a present from Eva when she was born. They were a big hit with her, but then again, she's 3 and was just excited to get candy!!:lovestruc

Manny, WHERE ARE THOSE RINGS?????

I absolutely love your ring pop favor idea. I've got to keep that in mind should my daughter ever decide to get married. Right now, all she worries about is her missionary work. One day, I'll get to plan a wedding.

The soda is neat! I am definitely going to go with a candy favor! It seems to be the cheapest way to go and you can't go wrong!
And the cookout is sounding pretty fun to me too!

Frugal is the way to go this year! No ,but really, the amount of money spent on everything else... :headache: I'll definitely go cheaper in any area I can.

So, you'll never guess where the rings were???? They were in my sock drawer. I didn't really think to look there. I was looking in all odd places. I did check his sock drawer! Sorry though, I was super busy today before work, so I didn't have time to take pics and upload them before I had to go, so tomorrow, they will be here! Promise!

I got some wedding planning done today:

I called around for a DJ. best price so far is $625 for 5 hours:scared1:

I CALLED OUR VENUE AND SWITCHED ROOMS TO THE BIGGER ONE. Manny's parents gave me a list of some more family members, and I really wanted the bigger room anyway. So gorgeous. I'm going up there on sunday for the bridal show, so i'll have lots of pictures of our new room. My friend and I were talking about centerpieces and decorations for this new room. Oh, it's so pretty. It's got a lot of windows and it's just wonderful!!!
