Ok so we're heading down to WDW in 11 days (!!!!!!!:cheer2:!!!!!!!) and I've been looking at the weather sites trying to get a feel for what to expect. The problem is... I live in a place where we've been taken over by winter for the past 6 months and I can't quite remember what those numbers mean. Are highs of mid-80's considered very very hot? I know, I've gone crazy. TIA!

It's not hot to me. I love hot weather. We had 3 days of upper 80's and low 90's and now it's back in the mid 60's.

CanadianImagineer...I'm from western ny and yes high 80's is HOT and HOT.

:goodvibes

It's 47 degress here right now, what about where you are?

Ah...the converter is great, we live right on the border here and need the converter all the time!!

Just think in a very short period of time we will go someplace that will double our temp's!!!

LUCKY YOU!!!
Have a GREAT WARM trip!

Really this all comes down to personal perspective. I live in Maine.

I hate the cold. 80 degrees is comfortable to me. I only get *hot* when it starts pushing 90 and up. Humidity however makes a difference. I don't like a high humidity and dislike the feeling of having a "blanket" laying on me.

However, I tend to be an exception to the general public. If you live in a colder climate, most likely 80 degree weather will be "hot" for you. :)

:lmao: I went in December, and the day we arrived and the day after were chilly - I'd say around somewhere around 50ºF. The CMs looked at me as if I was going crazy, wearing a t-shirt & jeans. "AREN'T YOU COLD?!" Of course, when I left NY it was below zero, so 50ºF was pretty darn warm for me. :rotfl: It did get warmer, up into the 80's, later in the week, which was wonderful!!

It should be nice and comfortable in shorts. You may be a little chilly if you plan to get up and out when the parks open (or earlier), but that will go away very shortly after you get there. Humidity will make a difference, but not much with those temps. When it gets in to the mid to high 90s is when it's really warm. For some reason HS always seems warmer than the other parks to me....maybe because there isn't as much shade.

I didn't even look at predicted temps yet. I'll be there the same time. I love the 80s! Not too hot to walk but I don't mind jumping in for a swim, either.

Mid to low 80's aren't that bad especially since the heavy humidity has yet to begin. The hottest day I've been in Orlando was in late May when it hit 97 one day,the humidity was high but it wasn't as bad as August humidity but I still completely soaked my shirt from sweat.Once you get to June up until September daily highs will start to become common in the low to mid 90's with higher humidity than there is now, unless it becomes cloudy or a good rain comes down expect to sweat a lot.

It sounds like it will be a little hot, but it really depends on the humidity levels. If the humidity is low, the 80's will be pretty nice!

We were there at the end of March and it was mid to upper 80's the entire week. we were all hot for most of the day. wear your coolest outfit on Epcot day, that place has very lil shade so you'll be in direct sunlight. it's not unbearable but it's FL so you have to factor in the humidity factor too. shorts and tshirts all week will be perfect. pants and long sleeves would be too hot for sure. have a great trip!

At WDW if you are standing in the blazing sun... it's hot
80's can be pleasant depending on humidity, clouds etc.
But remember even if there is an overcast you still can get sunburn.
However... there is always somewhere cool to slip into
wear hats, sunscreen, utilize shade when you can, and drink lots of water
:flower3:

We just got back on Saturday and had 80s and some just about 90 days. Friday, April 24 was about 88 and humid and it was very hot. Most of the other days there was not as much humidity so it didn't seem quite as hot. It was actually very nice and like you we were happy to be free from what seemed like a forever winter. You will be very warm while you are there, so no worries.

the 80s is not bad for us, but I live in SC. It has been in the 80s for the past several weeks and I am loving it. It is not that hot unless the humity is high and then it feels hotter. Though we have seen temps go into the 100s here too. Now that is HOT:scared1:
