I've had a stressful week as my youngest DD (4) was admitted to hospital on Monday. She was admitted with the same symptoms in March this year and the doctors thought she had a virus. It flared up again on Monday with the following symptoms: swollen face, wrists, hands, ankles, feet and knees. She was in such pain that she couldn't walk. Blanching rash covering her entire body, itching, hoarse cough and lethargy.
After seeing 7 health professionals, who all said that they had no idea what was causing it, we finally saw a consultant who said he thought she might have Lupus (SLE).
We have been referred to the Rheumatoid Consultant at Birmingham Children's Hospital as an urgent referral and we are off there tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed for my DD, please.
